They forgot to do multiple things during the process and would not stop calling or texting me until they got an answer. Made an appointment to view a vehicle. When I arrived the sales person told me that he sold it before I could even see it. Also informed me that most of the cars on the lot were rebuilt as was the one that I wanted to view. Online ad didn’t mention anything about this. Buyer beware!

I recently purchased a car from Autoplex and they replaced the windshield as part of the sale. There turned out to be a manufacturing defect or installation error and the windshield cracked within ten days of driving it off the lot. I contacted Brooks to explain the issue and he not only replaced the windshield for me, but had my vehicle detailed while they kept it at their shop overnight. I would recommend Brooks and the team at Autoplex for anyone looking for a used vehicle in Calgary.

I won't hold you back from purchasing cars here but here was our most recent experience. If you bought a vehicle during Bobby Johal's tenure, beware. My dad recently bought a 2015 Civic with 79k+ KMs which was priced at 15K, $65 b/w. At the time, they told us about the "promotions" they have which was either one of the following: 1. Free Insurance for a year 2. Winter Tires 3. Remote Starter We opted for the first one. Insurance quoted my dad for $2900 so we told them and passed the quote. They didn't mention that it's capped in a certain amount and they weren't going to pay for the whole amount so we settled for a cashback of $2000 which we received two weeks after. I guess they didn't know what 'Free' meant. After two weeks, our first payment period came and we were wondering why our total amount to be paid grew to $20K+. Even with the fees and such $20k is overreaching. We went back to discuss with them and apparently this Bobby guy charged us with a "Protection Package" priced at $4k. We asked the sales guy what this charge was for and even he didn't know. Simon(sales guys) booked a meeting to discuss this with who looked to be the owner the day after. Apparently, the "Promotion" they kept telling us was fake and Bobby was fired for shady practices. Our total went down from $20k to $18k since we're also paying for the $2k cashback from their 'free' insurance. My complaint is that if you've fired someone due to shady practices and borderline scam, it is your responsibility to reach out to the clients this guy sold cars to and correct what was done wrong.

Ran by a scam artist, every single car is crashed and cheaply repaired but they have a "clean car proof" because the damage isn't fixed by insurance but rather by them.

Their prices are misleading on their website. The price you see may not be the actual price, but much higher at their physical premises, or they have small print on their website that the pice they advertise is actually the bi-weekly or monthly payment.

Update at bottom. Firstly, I am aware that I am buying a used vehicle and I don't expect perfection when doing so. This doesn't so much have to do with the vehicle but more the after-sale care/service that I didn't receive. Purchase - 2009 Nissan Murano with very clean CarFax, 168K on it. Delivery Sept 21, 2020 A week after purchasing my vehicle WITH an extended 2 year warranty, the check engine light came on. Checking with the small computer I have and googling the code, it was something to do with the timing or (official term) goopy oil. I cleared the code to see if it would come back. 6 days later it came back. Took my vehicle to Nissan to have it diagnosed as I was advised by warranty provider that I could do so. Timing cover was causing low oil pressure and needed to be replaced. Just the labour alone was 20 hours of work, Nissan pricing of $4130. They recommended as well that the timing chain & guides be done as well, an additional $800. The warranty has a cap of $3000 per "incident". Went back to Autoplex. Promised the world by my salesman. They would get their shop to take care of it, under warranty, INCLUDING the timing chain & guides. This was Oct 8th. I spent the next 5 weeks trying to get them to take care of it as promised. No return phone calls, no return emails, having to go to the dealership to get them to deal with it. Excuse after excuse. Another salesman stepped in to assist and got the raw end of the deal because he had to deal with this p*ssed off customer and he didn't even get paid for the deal! Part of the original AMVIC report when I purchased was to have the windshield wipers replaced and in the middle of the nasty snow storm at the beginning of Nov, the wiper flew off the car because there was no clip! Today, in picking up the vehicle after it was finally all done, I asked if the wiper had been replaced as I had indicated in an email, and it of course hasn't. I asked for a copy of the work order for the work that has been done. "We don't have that right now, we'll email it." After all the false promises, I waited for it because the last thing I want to do is come back again tomorrow when it hasn't been sent over. I understand that used vehicles are often a buyer beware situation. My anger and negative review of this.. dealership, is in no way about that the vehicle had a problem. This review is entirely about how terribly that Autoplex Alberta has handled this from Oct 8 to Nov 27. There are positive things that came out of this - I commend Kyle for stepping in and trying to diffuse the situation that he didn't have anything to do with and at the end of all of this, there was about $1100 of additional charges that they have taken care of as promised. As management reading this - your take away needs to be follow through. If you say you're going to do something (call someone back, send email) do it. I would not have been so angry if there had been follow through. Your goal should be to create a reason for me to want to come buy from you again or refer friends... and after all this.... I won't. Oh and lets not forget the loaner from hell - the Jeep Liberty that died in front of my house 15 minutes after I picked it up. Updates - Dec 2020 I received a call from my salesman acknowledging that they had screwed up with me. Apologised and offered me a year's worth of oil changes, a full detailing of my vehicle & a gift card for dinner. Due to working from home, COVID and winter, I did not go to the dealership until Feb to pick this package up. My salesman is no longer with the dealership. Spoke to Krystian. He asked me to remind him on the Monday and he'd get it set up as well as repairing the windshield trim which has now completely come out on the passenger side. A week goes by, no set up. I send a text and indicate that this won't continue on like the issues with the timing. Another week and I receive a response telling me that the service manager will call me. 10 days have gone by and no calls. I am done and won't remove this review.
