Great place to see a variety of cars. They let you wonder around without being harassed. Doors are all unlocked so you can see inside. Prices are in the window so you can compare. So easy. They offer a 30 day warranty that will actually fix the problem. And they won’t charge you for it. Awesome place.

Definitely some of the best prices in town. The sales approach is good, they know their prices are low and there is no typical sales bs. There is little negotiation on price but it's pretty evident that they are substantiality lower than competitors so you'll feel good with your purchase anyway. My only suggestion is do your research on the vehicle you want, these guys are very nice guys but you don't get the full expertise on each individual vehicle just because they move so many brands. I would highly recommend checking out what they have on lot if you are looking for a good deal, all their cars came with free Carproofs.

Wasn't the best experience, after telling Sean the day previously that I was coming, once I arrived after my 5 hour drive, I find the vehicle has a flat. After they poured through my trade in, we came to a deal and I drove home after many other delays. Not even 24 hours into their 30 day warranty the car had an engine code. Since then I've gotten it diagnosed properly with a faulty sensor and an electrical issue. After asking to be booked in for repairs before my warranty ran out, I was told to try a fuel treatment that would fix both of those, and no date was set. As I had been running fuel additive since I bought it, it was clear they weren't going to help. Seemed like decent people, maybe not the most mechanically inclined, especially on European and Import vehicles.

Let me start by saying we wanted to buy from these guys 3 years ago just because of their amazing service, but they didn't have the right vehicle for us at the time. They were our first stop this time around. This place is absolutely fantastic to buy a car from. Right from the start Cheryl was friendly, made my kids feel comfortable, and found out what we wanted and was very helpful finding us the right vehicle, then promptly did the due diligence to find out about the previous ownership, CarFax, etc. I was on a test drive in no time. So glad we were recommended to come here! This is my families first big purchase since bankruptcy a few years ago. Jamal went above and beyond to meet our budget, help us with a lower interest rate, and help us build back our credit. We drove away with the explorer we wanted and were told to make a list of what we thought needed touched up or fixed, then bring it back before 30 days. We dropped it off 3 weeks(ish) later and picked it up with almost everything on the list checked off ✔️!!! Sean was VERY fair, this place is busy and we felt very looked after by him, Jamal a loan ninja!, and Cheryl was so great to us and our crew of kids we had tagging along (distracting them with treats and toys lol) Thanks to Alain for caring and fixing everything you could for us!!! it’s been about two months now since i bought my very first car and i am still over the moon happy and impressed with it! as a first time buyer it was a hell of a process but they were all very patient with me and i appreciated that so much. Cheryl is definitely one of the best people to speak with there, very personable and accommodating. The shop guys are all very kind and knowledgeable, and were painless to speak with in person and over the phone, in comparison to some other shops around the city. I really enjoyed that the car lot was open and there was no pressure to buy a vehicle then and there, they weren’t pushy at all, all the doors are unlocked so you can check all of them out, they have a wide selection of vehicles to look at, and they do everything at YOUR pace. The only thing that was frustrating during this process was the finance guy seemed irritated and grumpy every time we had to meet with him, other than when i was able to drive the car off the lot. He couldn’t be bothered to crack a smile or laugh. That was basically the worst of it. Everyone else was very positive and an absolute pleasure to work with. I will be recommending this place to others for sure.

We went by chance after realizing 3 of the cars we were interested in were all from there. We got there at 6:30 looked at the cars, no pressure at all. when we had questions Doug was very approachable and knowledgeable about the cars, and even though it was close to closing time, he did not make us feel rushed at all and took the time to answer all the questions we had. When we came back Cheryl helped us out with the test drive and paperwork. She took the time to make sure we had all the information about the cars we had narrowed down to. She was super friendly and helpful in getting the cars ready for us as well as explaining the next steps. He did a really good job at explaining the warranties, and all of this despite us having our children who did not behave at times. Don’t be fooled because they don’t have a fancy showroom or the perks you see in other dealerships. Alberta Truck & Auto was awesome- no pressure- just calm and positive energy. You have the freedom to take as long as you want without someone following you around trying to sell you anything and everything. I’ve never felt more comfortable taking a test drive. We seen a vehicle we were interested last year and we test drove it, but found a black one se liked better somewhere else in the end..... BUT They made the experience so positive that we were drawn to come back when we needed a second vehicle and we were so glad we did. The prices are on the vehicles so your not trapped into sitting in the office looking at cars on the computer. Trust me! Me and my husband have been to so many dealerships where the employees don’t even know what inventory they have or where it is! They had the vehicle ready when promised, detailing was on par, price was fair and the financing department was proactive and had things ready for us so we weren’t spending 2 hours dealing with everything. Well I came in with my 5 year old boy and Doug talked to him and made us feel welcome. We test drove a convertible Sean let us take it on our own with our little guy and man beautiful car. Then Doug came on our second test drive and showed us all the features of the Dodge Journey. Perfect price, got a tart for my boy, had a coffee, Doug showed us the car proof, Jeremy did the no hassle warranty pitch and financing and Sean will have the vehicle detailed up for us. Sean even noticed a small clip missing on the bumper and told me he ordered the piece for me. I have purchased new and used vehicles but never did I get this type of hassle free treatment. Purchased my Ford Taurus in this place 3 years ago and the salesman was very confident that I need to purchase a special VIP membership, so I can go back to their shop any time for any service that I need on my vehicle and I will get a very great price on their services. They convinced me when they said that the windshield replacement will be about the half of what it would cost somewhere else. This week when I called a local company to get a quote, they gave me $275 for a supply and install of a new windshield. Alberta Truck & Auto gave me price for $370 for the same replacement under their scam VIP program. So paid them for nothing. Do not recommend this place, and for sure their fake and scam VIP program. Update to the owner on his comment below. I have no idea where you get the information that the installed windshield has no rain sensor. That is not correct. The windshield that was installed by Glass Master has the rain sensor, high beam sensor and soundproof system. They supplied and installed my windshield in no time for $275 tax included. That is over $100 cheaper than your offer. I bet they still made profit on it. Your offer that want to reimburse the VIP fee is absolutely embarassing on your organization. People are paying these fees to get a peace of mind that they will get a reasonable price on their services when they are in need. When I was in need, your company refused to give me the promised service, and now you want to reimburse the fee I paid years ago. That's like you pay your home insurance, then when it's burned down, the insurance company reimburse the fee that was paid them. And for last, I did not receive any phone calls or voice mail. Regards.

What a great deal! My name is Colin and we bought a Mini Cooper from here. They have a great selection and actually had 2 of the cars i wanted to look at the Fiat 500 and the Mini Cooper Clubman. Since my wife was in love with the Mini Cooper we took that one. We looked at Coopers at 5 dealerships that day and Alberta Truck and Auto was almost $1100 lower priced than anyone else and this car had almost 2000 less km than the cheapest car anywhere! The deal was quick and easy and they got me financing at a great rate too! We drove it home in about 2 hours! They don't have a big flashy showroom like some dealers but they have really friendly staff and a great selection of cars and the best price I could find in the whole city. Plus the DO NOT REFUND DEPOSITS. we filled a complain with AMVIC to take back our deposit after discovering that they provided incomplete info on the car we paid a deposit for.

Cheryl, Sean and Jamal were all very helpful in my long distance purchase of a 2012 VW Golf Wagon TDI, with panoramic sunroof. They had no problems delivering the car to a garage for an independent inspection. I had a friend drive me to Edmonton to purchase the vehicle and was pleasantly surprised when I saw a SOLD sign in the window. I checked the vehicle out and found it missing the jack, etc. which they promptly retrieved and put in the vehicle. We came to an agreement on the price, very close to the original asking price. They were also able to save me a lot of running around by having the ability to sell me an 'In Transit' sticker right there. Again, I can't say enough about my VERY pleasant and satisfying experience with these people. I HIGHLY recommend them. ps. I live in Calgary and had to look at an Oilers jersey in their office. UPDATE!! My husband and I bought our 4th vehicle from Alberta Truck & Auto last night. Where do I start.. My vehicle we bought from them 1.5 hours a day was to small for our needs. We didnt even second guess where we would go to find a new car. Once again Cheryl, Sean and Jamal were awesome. There is no pressure for sales when you step into the office. They will give you the Carfax without even asking. By now we feel like family when we visit. They bring honesty and professionalism back to car sales!! I had recently lost my truck in a flood. while the insurance settlement was in progress, I started shopping to replace my 2014 GMC Sierra. I found a total of four that compared to mine and in the same price range. Three of them at another dealer and one at Alberta truck and auto. Two of th three at the other dealer were not as advertised (pictures can be so decieving). It came down to two. The deciding factor was clear, when I talked to Sean at Alberta truck and auto. I was very clear with the other dealers saleman, when I told him I'm not buying today, I will make my decision when my settlement cheque comes in. As I awaited my settlement, I was contacted about ten times in two days by three different salesmen at this one dealer. This is the most annoying thing any salesman can do. I don't know anyone who wants to be bugged that many times while making a decision. I've decided to purchase from Sean because, not only did they have the better truck of the two I was looking at, they are also very upfront with anything wrong with the vehicle and will replace parts before selling it. You can also go to this place and not get ANY pressure sales or stupid sales games. If you like what you see, try make a deal. If not, that's ok too. you wont get 500 phone calls in a week from three different people. With a family owned business, AAA better business bureau rating and multiple consumer choice awards, they must be doing something right. Well done Alberta truck and auto.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Wasted my time, had me call every day only to be told to call the next day. 9 days later I show up told it's ready to go and it wasn't. The mechanic said the tires were fine and they were finished in the front. Sean the shop manager was rude and someone I recommend you avoid! I entered this place expecting to find the "bait and switch routine ". Much to my delight the car was there and priced as advertised. I also expected to encounter pushy sales people, nope none of that either. Cheryl made the deal go very smoothly. She was friendly and tried to accomplish my every request. I was introduced to everyone including the mechanic and owner. I would definitely buy another vehicle from them. ***** Update****** After my son was driving for a few days a check engine light appeared. I thought "well it is a used car, things like this happen" I searched the internet of similar problems and found it was probably a crank sensor. It was an $80 part but I wanted to be sure without having to pay a dealer $$$ to scan the code so I called Jamal who said "bring it in they would check it for no cost to me". The next day my son drove it in and a few minutes after he arrived he was told it was a crank sensor and they would cover the parts and labour. Wow!! I couldn't believe that a used dealer would do something like that. Later when I drove my son and 9 year old daughter to pick up the car, Jamal treated her to a few new toys from the secret shelf and made my teen feel really great about his car. I'm not usually fond of sales people but I hope someday my kids will grow up to be like these people just kind honest folks. Price is the strong point. Doug was knowledgeable about the vehicle. Friendly as well. No pressure. I couldn't negotiate but the price was lower than anywhere else so I didn't really have to. The place isn't glitzy -- the parking lot is not paved, for example -- and it's basically a one-room business (as I far as I know). They seem to put the money into where the customer looking for a deal wants it -- the savings on price instead of a shiny showroom, which is fine by me. I didn't require financing options. The selection was great -- they had the car i wanted and in my top three colours. My experience was smooth and i got a good car for much less than anywhere else.Highly recommend.

UPDATE AFTER SHAWNS RESPONSE To clarify, when I wrote that Shawn was abrasive and rude, I was not referring to his response to our checking the two cars we test drove with our code scanner. I was referring to his general demeanor when answering ours or Cheryl's questions. Although he did not like our checking with our scanner, Cheryl and his mechanic encouraged us to do so. It made the difference in our choice of purchase as the first car came up full of codes.When purchasing a used vehicle, without warranty, due diligence is important. My initial review was intended as constructive criticism. Shawn's response displayed exactly what I was saying. Great job Cheryl! Purchased a car today and are very happy with it. Cheryl (saleswoman extraordinaire) was wonderful to work with. Friendly, bubbly personality and well informed. Cheryl was the reason our sale was made. Shawn, the manager, was abrasive and condescending to his staff, Cheryl and us . He very nearly lost the sale. I understand that everyone has a bad day, but when you are dealing with a customer, and your staff has worked their butt off for the sale, using a condescending tone with staff and customer is not going to result in a positive way. An apology would have been much appreciated when we picked up our car today. I am hoping this was a one time incident. Our overall experience was very good, I would highly recommend to friends or family

I purchased a vehicle from Alberta Truck and Auto. Pricing is their strong point but don't expect to negotiate more than $500 off the price of a vehicle. Their inventory is as follows. 75% lease or daily rental returns. There are some great deals but keep an eye on the mileage. The other 25% of their inventory is auction buys or other cars they've picked up. There are a few pieces of junk on the lot, but compared to other used dealers, it is minimal. Sales pressure is non existent except for insistence on a deposit and sneaking in the small Amvic fee to the final price. If you need financing, Sean is not your guy as he doesn't have the connections in the industry, so either have your financing in place, pay cash, or have excellent credit. The building is run down and the sales people are cramped into one room. As a customer, there is no privacy to negotiate and every sales person and the manager will know your business as they're all within earshot. They tend to work as a group, so if a customer has concerns, they'll gang up together on the customer in a "polite" but effective way. Follow up service is non existent. Once you drive off the lot you'll never hear from them again. This can be a good thing as you're not hounded to buy from them again. Overall, they are one of the better used dealers in town but DON'T leave a deposit as their contract still allows them to sell the car out from under you. Sean (the manager/owner) won't have any problem telling you to stuff it and keep your deposit if you don't follow through on the deal. Out of 10, I'd give them a 6.5, which for Edmonton used car dealers is about as good as it gets.

I went to inquire about trading my truck in for a different vehicle. They told me the trade in value of my truck was $7500 (this was before they did an inspection so I assume they would have found reasons to reduce that number further.) They told me every dealership I went to would give me the same trade in value. One of the sale’s staff also told me that they are one of the only places that takes cash stating “80% of dealerships won’t take cash”. We went to a dealership in Sherwood Park, they gave me $11,000 for my truck and I paid the difference for my new vehicle in cash. Don’t believe what they tell you.

I have had the worst experinece with this dealership. Firstly, they never returned my information requests and it was only when I escalated the problem with the car listing website that I was contacted. Second issue I has was the price fluctuations of their vehicles. They continously decrease the price of a vehicle and bring it back up afew days later (almost 40 times for one vehicle in 5 months). The sales manager/owner (Sean Krebs) is rude and by far the worst individual I have encountered in the automotive field. There are several vehicles in their lot that have been sitting there for months, and its very obvious why. They have horrible sales culture and the manager/owner should not be in the customer service industry. I was simply trying to negotiate a price and stressing the fact that the vehicle was sitting in their lot for over 230 days and that they had the car for sale for $2000 less a month previously (big red flag). He stated that I was "getting my attitude on" and how he had over 27 years in the automotive industry. Sorry for pointing out the fact that a vehicle is a depreciating asset and holding it on for so long has decreased its value. Sean then stated that I obvioulsy do not know what I was doing. To me that was very funny, because I work in a professional setting and I like to do my research. The vehicle in question is over priced (hence why it had not sold) plus statistically a 2%-3% price negotiation is reasonable and often expected for a used vehicle, especially in Alberta. Sorry Alberta Truck and Auto, if I knew what I wanted and what your cars were worth. The fact that I brought up the price fluctuations and how its triggered red flags for me really upset the manager/owner and hence why he became very snippy and downright rude. I never write reviews for anything but I had to sit down and write my experience with Alberta Truck and Auto. If I could give a negative score I would. To comment on the post from Sean: This is not lashing out...trust me :) I am thoroughly appalled by the customer service experience I received from YOU as the owner. I was upset that I did not get reply, Yes! however I never once stated that I was upset with anyone at your dealership. I am appalled and disgusted by your customer service as the owner and manager of this dealership. You got very defensive when I stated that this vehicle has had over 40 price decrease and increase during the past 4 months. Which I stated are Red Flags. 40 times is a bit much and I have done my research on that. You thought that you would be able to talk to me however you wanted and state that I was upset over the fact that my offer was not accepted. That is so far from the truth. I am upset that you told me to put my attitude away when I was simply stating facts that you did not want to hear. You also insinuated that I did not know what I was talking about, which basically is calling someone stupid. In a customer driven field that is a big no! no! Sean. PS. I also know that this vehicle has been put up for sale through dealer to dealer auction for MONTHS and you have not been able to sell it. If you had the best price in Alberta or Canada this car should have been sold MONTHS ago as well :)

Love this auto dealership. If you are looking for a high cost shiny new building, this is not the place. The savings of those high priced facilities are in the auto prices. We purchased a Mustang convertible a couple of years ago and no one could come close to the price we paid. The service was fantastic. Love the low key, non commissioned salespeople. They were quick to deal with any issues we had arise. This year went back and purchased a very low mileage Ford Taurus ... like brand new... but for thousands off what a new one was priced out at. Again, no dealer was able to come even remotely close to the price we paid. Will definitely go back there and highly recommend.

Bought a pickup from this outfit disclosing it needed to pass a mechanical safety to go to Saskatchewan. They had a bunch of paper work showing they had done the equivalent. Brought it back to Saskatchewan and paid to have the mechanical safety inspection. They found a few issues one was a leaking rear axle seal. I thought this Alberta truck and auto was reputable and had integrity. I returned the truck 5.5 hours to have the work done on their 30 day warranty. Their mechanic Alan came at me like a bulldog. Called me and the mechanic who did the inspection blind and frauds. When he finally pulled it apart, at my expense, there was a film of oil on the brake pads. He refused to admit that there was oil there. My recommendation is to not trust their mechanics, they must be profit sharing, get a 3rd party inspection.

Not the greatest experience. Drove 5 hours to have a look at a 2006 corvette. When I arrived the car was dirty inside and out (they had a week to prep it). The salesman didn't do any homework on that type of vehicle (again, a week to prepare). Anyway, I assumed I was going to be offered to test drive it but they wanted some kind of assurance that I was serious about the car and they didn't offer. I JUST DROVE 5 HOURS TO SEE IT.
