This Butcher Shop is classified in the category of Gourmet grocery store.
I had such a terrible experience at the checkout. One of the cashiers' behaviour was absolutely substandard and extremely outrageous. She carelessly (or accidentally) scanned one of my items twice and when I pointed it out to her, she furiously insisted that she didn't. I politely asked her to verify the transactions, camera records or whatever proves that she made a mistake. After correction from the manager, the cashier tossed my receipt without one simple apology and rather staring at me as if I'm the guilty one. I wonder if it's either she hates her job or she shows that attitude to all customers. Never coming back here again.. very upset
Great place for specialty foods. Good quality. Great choice for baked pastries. Only downside is that regular foods that you see in other store are very expensive.
You can always find specialty ingredients at Pusateri's, the prices are high but it is overall a gourmet store. As someone who loves to cook, getting high quality ingredients is always a priority, I would come here to splurge on some high quality cured meats and specialty cheese. I also found Diamond Crystal kosher salt here, which I've been trying to find for a while now. Definitely recommend Pusateri's for any food lovers or aspiring chefs!
Great quality products everytime! If you're looking to treat yourself or a loved one, this is the place for you. Hot meals, bakery, gourmet items... you name it!
I have enjoyed their hot prepared meals, cold salads and desserts many times. After the news reports of them overcharging on Lysol Wipes, I will no longer patronize the store.
Well-stocked and navigatable. Solid protocol adherence for COVID (while applicable). The only downside to offering such variety in their current space is that it gets very congested when it gets busy.
Awesome store. They have pretty much anything you'd want from a larger grocery store, plus some things I really like that I don't see elsewhere. For me though, it's the prepared food. I love it! Used to live right by there and would get takeaway at least 3 or 4 nights a week. Wished they had delivery! They also have my absolute favorite coffee, but I only get to have it when I come by maybe once a week when I'm in town :( They have a nice seating area out in front for you to enjoy your food. I like coming by just to get away from work – have a coffee, some food and unwind for a bit.
Impeccably merchandised store. Has food brands you don't see just everywhere. Best of all are the prepared foods.
They have the best ground beef burgers and freshly baked bread on site.Definetely worth a try.Made myself a Burger with onions it was delicious.
It's walking distance from where I live, so 4 stars for it! Prepared food are good. Pricey for "exclusive" or "exotic" items. otherwise, its the same price as in Loblaws. $1.99/pound for pears/apples, not a price we have never seen.
I always go here for their fruit cups and I was curious how it’s prepared or if it is pre-packed. Ran into this asian lovely boy who’s putting the fruit cups and so I decided to have a little conversation with him and asked if how these fruit cups are prepared and I was shocked when he told me that he makes them fresh everyday to fill up the sold ones. I forgot his name but if you ever see an Asian boy who has the purest aura and is working on the fruit cups, I can guarantee you that it’s worth your time having a little conversation with him. I love this place, recommended????.
So, I have mixed feelings about Pusateri's. We've ordered their catering and it's been good (not great). I love the feel of the actual retail store. Cozy, warm, inviting, small, delicacies and the convenience of the already made food you can pick up and go. But, I haven't had lots of success with their "ready made" pick up and go food. It's been average or below average and because I'm paying a premium, I expect better. And the meat counter has very aggressive pricing..honestly. So, I like the concept of Pusateri's and I enjoy the "shopping experience", but still disappointed in the take out food. I'm not one who looks at price tags when I shop, but I can't help noticing some of their pricing is out of whack on certain items which makes me raise an eyebrow. They know their target market and obviously have no fear charging more making huge margins on some of those items. I choose my moments wisely when I go. And narrow down the items I pick up there. Great on experience, but you pay the price for that.
Cakes are amazing as in all other locations but it looks like they are running low on tea? Expected to see a better choice of tea brands, given it's a Pusateri store.
Great selection of overpriced foods. Not sure who is worse, the customers or the owners. Either way, kodos to the employees for putting up with both parties.
Wonderful meat counter and fabulous desserts
I could find most groceries here. Fresh bread and more. Prices here are very affordable. Always a busy place for customers.
Let me break it down. Pastry are decent. Get the same thing or better at other grocery stores for lower prices. Get it directly from the company that makes them and you'll know for sure it is FRESH. They try to sell you pastries that are old. Produce its over priced. I find that you can find same products at other grocery stores for lower prices Everything else they sell... you know the drill. So why should you shop here? I honestly think people shop here because they are lazy to go elsewhere or they have so much money they don't know how to spend it on actual high quality food. And because the place looks nice they think "oh I should shop here." Please you're doing it all wrong. I strongly suggest you do not waste your hard earned money here. It's never worth it.
Every time I come here I feel like I'm not in toronto for some reason. It gives me an out of country grocery store vibe if that even makes sense! Was looking for the TRUFF hot sauce to try and gift to friends for Christmas and discovered Pusateris carries it! We quickly bought all their stock but it wasn't enough. We talked to the manager and he offered to give us his personal cell number and once the stock comes in he will give us a call. He always gave us updates and texts regarding the sauce and when it came in he put it aside for us to pick up. I don't know but we were really wow-Ed by his service as it was so unexpected from a grocery store!
The food is mediocre. It's bad enough that it's overpriced, but the food here is the same stuff that Food TV kids prepare. You're better off buying a coffee and a bagel from Tim Hortons than spending your money at this place.
It was a girlfriends birthday and I decided I wanted to get her an Elle Dee cake. I went in on a Wednesday and noticed a pretty large selection. I ended up going back on the following Monday to scoop up a cake - barely anything left. I noticed 1 cake I thought I saw on the Wednesday but thought it couldn't have been there that long and it must be a newer cake. WELL I was wrong. The buttercream was fine but the cake was completrly STALE, bone dry, and the biggest disappointment. The quality may not reflect the baker herself but I expected more from Puseteries. I have no idea when you change your cakes or receive deliveries, but that cake should not have been sold 6 days later! The moisture was stripped and it was chalk dry! If there's any quality control, your bakers should have removed it or been aware of when that cake was first displayed. Not only was it a huge waste of $50 but a total embarrassment for myself and a friend on her b-day. Mortified.
mold on panais India lady didn’t care. Don’t know what’s going on with this too
It is a pricey grocery store with great selection of gourmet foods and an excellent bakery.
I had placed a grocery order to be delivered last by Friday May 8th/2020, let’s just say it was a disaster. I have been shopping at the bayview village location for a very long time and unfortunately due to the pandemic I had to resort to their delivery services. I was charged items that was never delivered to me, squished 11$ tomatoes, Milk and cream that expired a couple of days later To name a few. I had to contact their call centre as well as bayview village management to get my credit also to express my disappointment, a credit will be applied in 7 days, that is what I was told. Meanwhile they charged a shopping fee as well as a delivery fee of total almost 30$ for delivering the lowest quality groceries and service possible. I would think twice before ordering groceries from there ever again.
3.5 stars I've always passed by while at Bayview Village but have never ventured inside since I know prices are on the higher end. This time we got to the mall a bit early and the restaurants were not quite ready for lunch so we decided to see what was offered in terms of food at the hot deli. They have 'bundles for $13.99 or $15.99 (if you want seafood as the main). This consists of 1 main (yellow label) and 2 sides (orange label). We went with the teriyaki wings (6 wings), broccolini with walnuts and heirloom carrots. There's also hot food packed up right beneath the glass display. You can find whole chickens, spaghetti with meatballs, chicken or beef stir frys. Cutlery can be obtained from the cashier and napkins are in a container on the way out. They also have a nice dessert display. Maybe I'll come back another day to browse. In a separate fridge there's ice cream mochi that's self-serve. I believe they are $2.29 each. The spaghetti was hot and not lukewarm which was nice. It's a decent sized portion for 1 person and quite tasty. The teriyaki wings didn't really remind me of teriyaki sauce but they were good nonetheless. On the wings that had a lot of sauce they were on the salty side. The heirloom carrots were seasoned well and walnuts were a nice accompaniment to the broccolini.
They charge WAYY beyond! The price. I will definitely not visit this place of how expensive for just four items that I bought. I will say, the food is impressive for the price, but charged 30 $$ for only 4 small items? That’s crazy! Rip off .
Really enjoy the selection of organic goods, local goods, and imported goods. Their bakery, butcher, and prepared foods look awesome. Only reason for 4 stars is the cash register workers constantly yell to talk to each other and are super aggressive with bagging. If I had bought a cake or eggs, they for sure would have been smashed with how aggressive they shove them in the bag ????????
Staff was very helpful with showing me where the two items I was looking for were. They not only told me where it was, but showed me as well. Great customer service!
Higher-end so bit pricey but has more interesting items than other grocery chains. Great store overall.
When you ask people to take a number - you should follow your own rules instead of serving customers that appear to be wealthier, over less snappy dressers. We get our desserts elsewhere now. Discussed this issue with managers a few times over the years and it obviously isn't something important enough to resolve. Otherwise, it is a great site with wonderful products and excellent variety.
Pusateri's is the only store at Bayview Village that manage to have excellent customer service. A great selection of exceptional food, drink, and fine pastry! I mean FINE PASTRY! The staff in all of the departments are simply amazing! If you need or want something, all you have to do is ask and they will make it happen for you. They have the most amazing assortment of Olive Oils, and fine sauces to go along with your purchases. Even the cashiers treat you well, they call you guests, instead of customers! You can sometimes even see the owners keeping a friendly watchful eye on what's going on. THEY CARE about your enjoyment and will bend over backwards to make you happy. I HIGHLY recommend this fine store. You will not be disappointed.
Some good selection, but crowded layout and often overpriced goods.
High end groceries. It is clean. Good quality of produce. They have varieties of ready made food. Love going there but can’t really afford too often. I live nearby so once in a while I will make a visit
I typically stop here for the desserts and the foie gras chips. So good.
Waited at the hot food section for 5 minutes with no service. While multiple employees scuttled behind the counter. The person ahead of me was literally buying 4 piece of items at a time, repeatedly. Horrible service for the first time.
Poor COVID physical distancing: Circles on floor saying 1m is social distance...now we know it should be 2m - all you need to do is remove every other circle!. Counter staff still handing food to customers. A month later, no barrier between customers and cash. Good stock of food, better than large grocery stores....make sure you wear your mask and gloves.
If you want the royal treatment, visit Pusateri's! They make helpful suggestions, bag your groceries (and I've reused their bags multiple times), and can even tell you how long a food item has been out. They also have amazing pastries!
Great. Mandatory hand sanitizing before entering the store. Clear signage. Baskets and carts are sanitized after use.
Not sure why people waste their money here, prices are ridiculously high with not much difference in quality. I agree everything is beautifully organized and designed in the store, but don't fall for that. Not an affordable place for a middle class family. I tried prepared foods a couple of times, paid a top dollar and not satisfied with the quality. I never walk in this store again if I don't have to.
Very expressive food store, but very fresh products
Today I went there with my friend to get coffee. The Two Woman on the coffee bar were TOOOOO RUDE and Arrogant. They even did not listen what we wanted and hit the coffee cups on the counter with arrogance. Too rude and bizzare attitude. Never go to their coffee bar inside. SO CHEAP COFFEE TASTES SOOO BAD AND BITTER
My fiancé ordered a cooked barbarian steak on a Friday for a birthday dinner on Sunday. The head chef told him how much he should be buying to feed the number of people attending the dinner and they agreed that it will be picked up on Sunday at 5:30pm. We arrive on time and the butcher on shift tells us that there is no order reserved under my fiancé's name. We panick and make sure that we had called the right Pusateri's and haven't gone to a location that we didn't place an order at. The best the butcher can do is offer us raw cuts of barbarian steak, but that's not what we need; we had ordered a cooked steak to bring to a party and we didn't have time to buy an unseasoned hunk of meat and cook it ourselves. We ended up still buying something there since we had limited options, but that was most definitely a disappointing experience, especially since this is supposed to be a fine foods establishment. It looks gourmet, but service is anything but.
Excellent selection fresh food good communication with staff friendly service
A good place to go when you're looking for that something special to make or to bring. There are a few areas of the store where I would just suggest walking to the next closest grocery store for the exact same product for a lower price but Pusateri's carries a variety of specialty items that would be hard to find elsewhere. The fresh foods and bakery area is definitely very entricing every visit. Quality is top notch - no complaints.
They are giving a 15% off loyalty card right now valid until the end of June 2018. *some exceptions apply. Can't go wrong in that store. You'll find something!
Excellent variety and great location. Also very helpful people ready to answer your questions. A bit pricey.
Love it ???????????? I really like exotic foods, and Pusateris has them, including Venchi chocolate spread, which is sometimes available. They consistently have Venchi chocolates which are a must buy for any chocolate lover. Also excellent selection on cold cuts, cheeses and desserts ????????????
Homemade soup is excellent. Gryfes bagels are the best I have had. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Service and response of staff far from the quality of goods available Wasn’t offered any help or proper info. What was supposed to be a “gourmet hot lunch” ended up a wasted box of food Thx a lot for the response. Glad to share details. If I can know who/how to contact.
We went to Pusateri's on bayview and my son forgot to take his mask. He was outside waiting and I asked them if they had a mask to sell me or a spare one for customers. They were super rude at the cash and in store. One person just said, no we don't have any masks. At the cash, a lady asked the other one if she had any spares and she shouted across the whole store to me "why do you need a mask? You already have one!" Will never come back to this store.
Great quality and selections. Expensive.
Cashier put our cake in the bag upside down
I love Pusateri's pastry section. They carry a lot of top brand cake. I ordered Opera Cake of Raichers , very delicious, and the cheese cake factory, try their banana cheese cake, yum! There is deli counter and groceries. The price is little high but for such a nice shopping experience!
My favourite cake love the place great fresh products
Very high quality suoermarket - love shopping there - always finding something special for my taste. I love chees selection - wide and for any occasion. Great bakery department.
This place has a very good selection of sweets with a cozy place to sit right outside its entrance. It also has a cooked and heated food section which is great if you don't have time to cook. The quality is generally high, but it's also very upscale.
Picked up already prepared Father's Day dinner here, and it was a huge success. Would recommend this as one of the best options in the city for gourmet prepared foods.
obviously upscale, but good products and a large selection given its size. freshly squeezed orange juice is a big attraction, not too expensive, good meats and pastry on the expensive side, fruit selection only so so, but they have tasting trays.
Nice products, a bit on the pricey side. That's a given. High end stores.will always be on the pricey side. Social distancing at the counters was a little questionable. The remainder of the store seemed sufficient.
Pusateri's has always been basically Toronto's only real fine luxury grocer but honestly Eataly has better fresh selection and more competitive prices.
If I lived closer to this store I would shop here every day! Love the food and its presentation!
I went in for an Instacart order , the restaurant is inside the mall . Not as big as your regular grocery store, but they have variety items , and different sections from prepared food to bakery ( the best ) deli coffee , vegan all sections . Customer service is one of the best I have seen , they walk you to where the items are if you can’t find it . They even call each department to see if they have what you’re looking for. I had to get something in the bakery for myself, I couldn’t stop looking at their displays
My wife walked in today to the baked goods counter and was not served for a full 5 minutes (along with another customer) while an employee was present and running around. This was our first (and last) time walking into this store. For the price point you charge, you should have a minimum level of customer service you are willing to provide. We’ll just take our business to Loblaws next door as they are both cheaper and are willing to serve their customers.
Have a lot of high quality pastries, fruits, spices and food products although slightly overpriced.
I personally don’t understand why people are so upset with this place. Yes it is small, yes it is overpriced, so then don’t come here for your grocery shopping! We come for the fresh meals when we are too lazy to cook and they are very reasonably priced and delicious, especially if you compared the same thing in a restaurant. It’s a decent place, a little slow on the service because it’s busy all the time, but overall a nice place to grab a healthy lunch. Will definitely come again!
Visited Saturday afternoon, place was very busy. The staff were polite and friendly and the manager Shawna was working hard to keep line moving. Food looked great throughout store very well run location. I especially want to say that the manager went out of her way to provide nice experience for customers.
The coffee is great here! Try the coffee. Also the products are very good. It is organized, clean and good quality. I like the decorative design. The staff are nice, polite and friendly. A little bit expensive though. However matches the Bayview village norms!
Was looking for caviar as a treat at christmas time. It was frozen in the back freezer and still at an outrageous price. It took 5 staff- only one of whom was familiar with what I was asking for or where to find it. The rest just followed her into the cooler like little ducklings. After everything, I didn't grab the caviar, I felt I was paying for 3 salaries, not caviar, and there was a pressure by the staff to purchase it after they went through ALL the effort of confirm they had it. The staff to customer ratio was a bit over the top...
Good selection in the food bar for both hot meals and salads. Great staff. The place is somewhat congested with small aisles and many shoppers roaming in the shop. Try to go at a time when its less crowded.
Upscale fine foods market located in Bayview Village. Assortment of all types of provisions fresh and processed. Great sandwiches, baked goods, cakes and tarts as well as coffee bar.
Nice place. Well-mannered staff. Good food. Very impressive. Not your typical run-of-the-mill supermarket. Hope they build one in Pickering :-)
I went there today to order a birthday cake for my daughter and bought some treats for ourseves. I ate a fruit tart on my way home and it tasted really bad. The berries were dried out and even the cream part had not much moisture in it. I never tasted anything like this before and my stomache felt so bad after an hour later. I had to call the Pusateri's head office but the manager gave me more dissapointments. He sounded not serious and didn't seem like to believe me. He even told me to bring back the tart for a refund. I'm not going all the way there to get a freaking refund and cancelling my cake!! You just lost your customer!
Feb 21 bought ham and cheese on crescent the cheese was dry took 8 min before getting serve because the employee was chatting with his colleague then when to the pastry counter bought 2 pastry the employee didn t close the box properly and on top of that the deli server put the wrong code so I have pay more money for my sandwich this place is going down not was it use to be
I lived 5 mins south of it and see how the service deteriorated through the years . Recently, I bought two roast beef sandwiches and after I went home, I found them completely all burnt dark black . I went back to ask to replace. The lady manager said it was not their fault as I asked to warm the sandwich. It was the aluminum foil that burnt the bun after 5 mins . Since the aluminum foil was their and wrapped by them, it should not be the customer’s liability. Besides, warming should mean 15 seconds , not 5 minute. After another 10 mins disagreement, she finally agreed to replace one as I only brought back only one burnt sandwiches although I bought two ! In the past, there were many times, I bought fresh orange juice and they were sour or turned bad, I never returned to ask for replacement, this time I returned because I needed food to eat lunch then. When the government ordered Pusateris to close to clean the mice infestation, I still came back to this shop. When the newspaper and government voiced their concern that Pusateris raised the Lysol wipes 5 times to $ 40 to make extra in the pandemic , I still came back. It is because I live just south of Bayview Village and your location is convenience. However, after this incident, I will never come back for anything and my wife won’t come back to get any grocery ! If that lady manager read this, she should remember I was the guy whom insist the customer should not be responsible for the fault of the aluminium foil , as I did not provide the aluminium foil nor I was the person to wrap and cooked them to complete burnt !
Awesome place to get food. Great selection.
We went there to pick up 2 iced coffees but they said they are out of ice so we ended up to get 2 lattes but it took them 15 minutes to prepare! And they were not even that good!
I went there yesterday to get Jordans cereal which is 4.99 in Food basics and Pusateri's was selling it at 6.99. And its expiry date was today. ???? That shows poor stock management.
Pricey but worth it. This location is a lot more crowded and cluttered than other ones. There's hardly any space to move around and you're constantly bumping into people. The aisles are narrow. HOWEVER, The quality of the food offered makes up for any inconvenience. Get healthy and tasty food for your kids!
Good Tasting and quality food. Also, a considerable amount of variety. The only disadvantage is the price of certain products. However, more reasonable than other premium grocery stores in certain aspects. Recommend checking it out!!
Go there quite often, even though I admit it is very expensive and you can get the same items cheaper at Metro. Got two bundles for dinner and my boyfriend's meatloaf had4 LONG BLACK HAIRS IN IT. CONTACTED THEM AND NO RESPONSE...TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE .. Even getting served is an experience there...
Pusateris has a nice selection of gourmet grocery items and beautiful bakery. Where they fall flat is in inconsistency of their prepared food section. The quality of the offerings will depend on time of day and who is working. Im having a completely different experience today with the same dish.. chicken marsala. Two weeks ago it was saucy and tasty. Today its so dry its inedible. There is clearly no quality control standard. Additionally i think they misadvertize. I bought the “home made chicken tenders”. When they printed the label with full ingredients (which was not the same as shown on the deli case) it had the same additives and fillers as the frozen ones but they were three times the price. I guess given last years price gouging I should have got the message.
An excellent place to shop for your groceries. In particular the fish counter as well as the meat selections are outstanding.
Great selections. Just that the store is small and they try to jamp as many products there as possible. Sometime more products do not mean better shopping experience for the customs.
A little expensive but great product range, quality and service. Parking is easier than Avenue Rd and free vs downtown stores.
I was at their store at Bayview and Eglinton (Bayview Village) . I saw an elegant older woman in front of me being treated rudely by a female cashier . As I am an older woman myself (54), I looked for another cashier because I didn't want to be treated that way. There was no other cashier available, so I went to the cashier that had been rude to the other older female customer. This cashier insisted on calling me "Sweetheart" in a condescending, patronizing voice. I asked her to stop and not to use any petnames or babytalk on me but she insisted she was right. I explained that regardless of what she thinks, when someone tells her to stop treating them that way (ageist, sexist, patronizing, condescending), she should stop. Instead, she then insisted on calling me "MY DEAR" in a loud slow babyvoice, and began to insist that I was wrong and that my feelings were wrong (I didn't state my feelings but asked her again to talk to me with respect). Then she argued more and finally said loudly "What do you want me to do". In a calm, polite voice, I told her I want her to cancel my transaction, put the merchandise back, and that I would not be buying anything at Pusateris. I walked away from $100 purchase and they lost business. I wrote customer service about my experience but never heard back. I have noticed that they have many older female customer and if they lose our business, it will be alot of business that they are losing. Also, their cashier probably doesn't know this but just like racism, ageism and sexism goes against Ontario Human Rights.
I love the pastry here a lot. Always fresh and tasty. They also serve breakfast, but I dont like that they dont serve it in a better plate. I mean comparing to the price they charge, they can offer to go or here to eat option. Staff are ok but not very friendly. I expect a friendly staff when I purchase from high end store.
Its a nice place but makes me feel poor. $15 for few slices of cheese. $40 for a piece of chocolate $55 for a panettone. I mean they have really good items, food looks amazing, everything is nice organized Cool place to look around but I can only afford a few things inside...
I happened to stop by here when I came to Bayview Village Mall. Pusateri was a really high quality supermarket. It was really clean and the produce were fresh. They also had a nice cake counter with lots of very appetizing cakes & pies. The food was more on the pricey side in general. If you are looking for a luxury grocery shopping experience, this is the place to shop.
Hands down the best grocery chain store in Toronto. Newer ones like Eataly can't compete with the quality.
Very nice grocery store! I always find all my specialty food ingredients at this store. They have a great selection of fruits, vegetables, pastries! The staff are always ready and willing to help you find something you are looking for and are so polite and fast at checking you out. Great gourmet grocery store!!
He is a thief. Bottom line charging people $30 for wipes and then lying saying it was a mistake. Own up to your greed. You could be the last store in the world to be opened I would rather starve. You are telling people it was a mistake. So no employees or manager read the sign right. Hard to believe you would do this in this time where we need to help each other. Wow just wow.
If you want high quality goods, then Pusateri's is for you! It's a very friendly place, with awesome gourmet sandwiches. Good quality for decent price. Had a good experience.
It's a wonderful indulgent store brimming with all manner of fine foods and goodies. Prices are really not bad for the quality. You'll pay that for the same elsewhere. It gets wallet-busting when you take treats you don't need but can't resist. If you're a foodie, go now and then and enjoy.
Super overpriced! You basically pay for the location. They have a few unique imported items but for the rest, go to Loblaws! On top of that, service is crappy and managers are terrible! Response to the review left my Tatiana Thompson: Yes, you are right. But we do have the right to complain because on top of all the negatives we underlined, customer service is ALWAYS bad. I'm not paying premium prices for 5 people working behind a counter and ignoring or reluctantly help me. Went by Pusateri again yesterday and this review is CONFIRMED!
Shopping for the discriminate buyer. High-end groceries $$$$ Clean, small- but well stocked. Global array of gourmet items.
Gourmet store, great collection, very friendly staff, some of the best sandwiches and pastries.
Excellent variety of high-quality food items. Baked goods to tantalize your taste buds, and coffee that is worth drinking. My favourite place to have a cup of java and a baked treat when I go to that area.
Very nice store overall. The sandwiches are great so are the bake goods
A great market... Everything is very fresh and well stocked. We go about 3-4 times a week just to pick up a few things. Love the place.
Staffs were not welcoming and the manager were very rude. If you want to pay higher price just to show off your grocery bag, go ahead, otherwise Loblaws (a publicly traded company and also the largest Canadian food retailer) and other places have good quality. Save your hard earn money. Thank you.
I'd say that it's worth going to for only a few specific items that are better than in other stores. This includes the sandwich meats as well as the fruits and vegetables. The Teriyaki salmon from the hot counter is very good also. However, I'd never purchase any day-to-day items here as the prices are absurd. But Toronto is full of monied sheep waiting to be sheared so it's generally pretty busy on the weekends.
I went into Pusateri's to see if they carried a special type of yogurt I normally buy in my health food store. Very often it is sold out, so I was wondering perhaps I might find it at Pusateri's. To my delight not only do they carry it, but they had it in stock and on sale at a price cheaper than my health food store. Pusateri's, you have acquired a new patron!
It will be a good idea if the night staff and Manager/Supervisor are trained about products. No-one knew what I was referring to on Wednesday at 7 pm. Day staff are always very helpful and knowledgable.
Produce is fresh and the bakery section is amazing. Very clean kitchen and store. Many hard to find gourmet products available here. Staff is friendly and helpful. If you are a foodie this store is a must stop to check out.
Pleasure to shop. Find everything you need, excelent service, less variety than the one at Avenue and Lawrence due to size limitation. All in all a nice experience.
I bought a roasted chicken last week April 22,2020 and it was very greasy and it tasted like it was made two days ago.It was Pusateri at Bayview Village.I'm letting you know today I bought another roasted chicken and it was greasy and I don't know if you wash your chicken before cooking or not?? It tasted horrible, so I won't be buying chicken from you again!
Always love their selection of cakes and pastries. It's my go-to place for cakes and dessert. They also have a great selection of gourmet meat, cooked and prepares food, and cheeses and bread. It's a Greta place to shop for food for home dinner gatherings.
They always have so much variations to choose from it's great
The manager at this location has a big attitude problem. You work at a grocery store lady. Be kind or get a new job where you don’t interact with humans.
Waited 15 minutes at the meat counter in an empty store with no service. Premium prices without the premium service. Better off just going to the Loblaw's at the other end of the mall where they'll at least take your money.
High end grocery store with high end prices. Produce and meats look very fresh and it is indeed beautiful inside. Employees are also helpful. The major setback is the cost.
I had a gift card due to their incompetency from a prior visit. I meant to use it when I went there next but it was a busy day and I realized I forgot to use it after I got to the car. I went back in and Sandra, the manager/supervisor, along with the cashier were SUPPOSED to refund the original bill and recharge it with the reduced amount using my gift card. Instead Pusateri DID charge my card again for the reduced amount but made 2 errors. One, they did NOT notice that in my haste I gave the wrong card for the credit. Even worse was they did NOT make sure the credit went through. So, basically I was charged TWICE, the original charge and the 2nd charge which was the same as the original price less the gift card value. Today I was woken up by a call saying they made the mistake but instead of taking ownership, Sandra said that the mistake was caused by ME not keeping the card in long enough. Repeatedly asking her WHY the mistake wasn't caught by either her or the cashier on the spot, she kept evading and said it was spotted at the end of the night. Basically, Pusateri's can not be trusted to do a simple credit. When they make mistakes they will blame YOU for them. Be careful when/if you shop at this store.
Terrible service. Long lines of people wanting to buy cakes and order coffee, and just no service.
Ridiculously overpriced! Organic carrot that is from 2.49 to 3.99 everywhere was 5.99 The Hummingbird chocolate that was the reason for me to come there was 10.99 instead of 8.49 - 8.99 again everywhere! The store is small and very ordinary looking, so it's my first and last visit. And I gave 2 stars instead of one because the employees were attentive.
Disappointed in quality of your fresh fruit. Last Sunday purchased blackberries, blueberries and pears. Most of the blackberries had to be thrown out as they were mouldy, pears were over-ripe. However, your take out salmon and sandwiches were very tasty.
Love the place food is great pricing is high but the quality covers. Surely a special desert place.
The store has gone down hill. The bread section is a mess, they used to make the chicken stirfry daily now they don't. There fresh tuna salad is full of chemicals. It doesn't feel clean anymore. Very disappointing. I want to add that even trying to call them and get someone on the line to ask a question is impossible.
Bread, bagels, mini cheesecakes (bailey, blueberry, raspberry), cranberry minibite sandwiches, lunchmeat and freshly squeezed orange juice are some things that I buy regularly here. Delicious, fresh and good quality but it's pretty expensive.
All products Pusateri sells are always in high quality. However, it's more costly than many other grocery stores.
Pusateri's has food that I grew up eating, stuff that I can only get at a 905 Longos, or a European specialty food store, which the St. Lawrence or farmers markets have a few of. Once in a while it's nice to treat yourself.
Usually I go to Longo‘s for their burgers, but as I was at Bayview Village I thought I would pop into Pusateri’s and pick up some burgers there. I bought four of their Liberty Burgers which are supposed to be certified Angus Beef. Brought them home cook them up and ate the worst burger ever eaten in my life. Dense, dry no beef flavour, just than a huge amount of pepper. We each ate one and I threw the other two in the garbage. By the way I have a dog but I wouldn’t subject her to that. By the way, double the price of Longos. Never again.
