The elderly woman at this store patrols the streets yelling at people. We had just arrived in town and there were three open spots in front of her store - we tried to park in each one and every time she came out on the sidewalk pointing and screaming at my husband to go park somewhere else and to ‘get out of here’. Didn’t even make it into the store as we had planned to after this public display - why would we? We love Woodstock but this was an embarrassing representation of the charm the town has to offer.

Highly recommend. The selection is great and fresh. The smoked pork chops are amazing, we also get the tenderloin cut into steaks, which are great as well. The staff here are the best.

Super awesome staff and super amazing food. I always stop to grab a bagel or sandwich before or after walking around town. Super close to everything in town so it makes it easy to stop in. The owner is always there and will ask you how your day is going before someone makes your delicious food. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a bit to eat or just to have a friendly chat. The seating out side is also right on the side walk and that’s makes it super easy to strike up a conversation with someone. Please to to this spot you will not be disappointed.

One of the best steaks I have ever had. Friendly and helpful staff. Do yourself a favor and shop here. Prices are reasonable and the meat is amazing .They have a great selection. If they don't have it, give them a few days and they will get it. You will not be disappointed, I promise!!

We stopped here late morning and bought two egg salad sandwiches on rye. Very fresh and excellent quality. We also picked up some marrow bones for our dog and received some tips on sites to see while we are in town. Recommended.

The old lady at the deli was extremely rude and wasn't even ready to give us a minute to pick the ingredients in the sandwich. I understand it was a busy day but it was not necessary. Wouldn't visit the place again!

The Village Butcher is a great butcher and Deli. They have quality meat, wines, and IPA's, as well as delicious sandwiches made to order. George's chicken pot pie is AMAZING, and even their homemade pickles blow grocery store brands out of the water. Stop in and grab lunch or breakfast :)

Love this place. The meats are always exceptional and beautifully prepared to take home and cook. They bring in grade a product and know what they’re doing with it. Anytime I need or want exceptional cuts, I will go however far out of my way to get them from here. Luckily it’s usually easy enough.

Best potato salad and lasagna. Like mom used to make. Yummy! Their own kielbasa is fantastic, especially if it has just come out of the smoker, still warm. A great taste experience. People on tour busses, that are in the know, know to get sandwiches for lunch here and go eat them on the village green.

Everyone was nice and sandwiches fair..but DO NOT get in line with the older lady with brown hair! She was extremely rude. The young guy was nice though.. probably embarrassed about her customer care! We came close to walking out. Absolutely nothing special about this place unless you have no where else to go!

To die for New England clam chowder. Grab a bite to eat, then proceed to the pick nick benches to overlook the bridge. Two giant thumbs up!

High quality meats. This is a premium shop, meat cut after you pick it to order. They make and sell breakfast sausage, it is the best I have tasted anywhere. We bought more to take home to Michigan. A small shop the make lunch here to sell and have assorted add on like sauces and seasoning for the meat. Convience items and wines. Excellent customer service. Great place when we visit Vermont where the place we stay provides a full kitchen. We also bought smoked pork chops, hamburger and bacon. All very good.

Oh my goodness!!! I went in there for sub sandwich. ???? When I walked through that door I knew I was walking into an extravagant, absolutely yummy, classy,, delicious place! Everything was so neat and tidy and immaculate and the food well, let’s just say I got more than a sandwich! Deviled eggs,???? there’s amazing roasted vegetable melody,???????????? potato salad ????????????and a wonderful sandwich and a delicious brownie! I wanted a slice of apple pie ????that was homemade by the owners mother. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to carry the whole pie with me but I plan on purchasing one of them when I can I was on my bike that day traveling through town . ????????‍♀️I love this place and almost made me move to that town. Thank you all so much I can’t wait to try your fresh meats and more of the selection you offer!! I haven’t had a chance to try the meats as of yet to take home and grill but I will be back!! ???????????? Hopefully they get that black ground pepper con and sea salt shakers like we talked about the top it all off!
