So only just learned of Miedema Meats first time was in Exeter ont after which I was pleased to find that they were also in Embro. After visiting the Embro store and making a small purchase I was impressed with the pricing I received and decided to try something different and larger. My Daughter and husband and my wife and I decided to split a half quarter thinking that we would a certain amount of streaks for the bbq unfortunately what we did receive was a large amount of chuck product that we turned into ground beef since its summer time and we don't do alot of cooking indoors. The steaks that we did receive were from the ends of the steak cut and were not prime cuts. Having now learned my lesson here I don't believe I would purchase another nor would I recommend to anyone to purchase a mixed quarter. I will most likely return however I will be looking around for someone of equal or close quality and pricing since I would certainly be willing to pay more and get what I want than be disappointed with having spent over $700.00 dollars and and not being happy.

First time there this week and very impressed with price and quality of a rib roast I bbq’d. Will definitely be back. It’s hard to find a good butcher, box stores don’t cut it, no pun intended.

Mediame meats always sell the highest quality meat available. They will always do special orders and their home smoked bacon is the best you have ever tasted. Leo is probably the most honest man I have ever had the pleasure of doing business with and I would not hesitate to give him my highest recommendation.

I ordered a crown roast for Christmas dinner ..when ordered butcher said it would be made from 2 loins.. I requested extra fat be trimmed..sounds great so far . So I opened it up to get ready to cook it ..alas made from one loin ..only half a crown roast..as there were no bones to form the other half of the crown on the small end and because of the small end of the loin was used it leaned over terribly ..not proudly like a crown roast should...I'm confident it will taste good but for a " presentation cut of meat " I've never been so disappointed ...I intend on contacting them to relate my disappointment ..I've been a customer for at least 25 years and have always received great service . I put my trust in them....maybe it's a lesson learned..oh and I trimmed at least an extra cup of fat off the roast
