Actually pure garbage. 80% of the ground beef is pure brown, and they just mix it in with some fresh meat to hide the smell and colour. Any pre spiced, or shish kebabs with sauce on it, STAY AWAY. Its because the meat is rotting and they are hiding the colour and smell, but if u take it home and wash it you will see brown!

Love this place. Been going there for as long as I remember. Now I also get my milk from them. They sell it much cheaper than Costco. I’d give them 5 stars but the deli is too small and sometimes the queue blocks the way.

Omg that's the last time. I thought I would give it a try again but same outcome. Purchase ground beef cooked that day and put some aside for following day to cook. I bought pork feet from Mr.Meat last Sunday, I frozen it and I have just opened it today. It is so smelly like a pork was poison, i ate pork feet every week and it never has that bad smell before, I taste the pork feet soup and I want to nausea, the pork feet was poison and they still packaged and sold for the people. Never buy the food from Mr. Meat anymore

I have been going to Me Meats since it opened. My family and I have been more than loyal cutomers spending thousands of dollars I would say in our entirty. I have sent people there and even make dog food for myself and a small clientele. I shop here to support local west end business. We buy Meats for Church BBQ's and family functions. My younger sister had a stroke(age 24) and we were having a benefit for her. I called several times to talk to the owner. Never got a call back. I called the Walker road to speak to the manager and I was told she was too busy to come to the phone and I left my number and never got a call back. We ended up spending $1500.00 on meat for our event somewhere else that gave us a great discount off the total as it was a fundraiser. Since this time I have actually stopped going to Mr Meats as much and have gone to other quality meat shops. A call back would have been nice after calling 7 times. Not happy. I do like the meat here. They have some good deals and the staff is friendly. Their deli counter is very good. Lots of variety.

Purchase the New York Strip Lions in June 2016. Marinated them overnight, BBQ'd the next day and they were the toughest steak I have had since a WalMart steak I mistakingly bought. This one must have seen the bullet coming. Never again, sorry Mr MeatMarket but truly not worth it, a total waste of money. The Dog did eat them up though :(

I’ve been shopping here for about 15 years. This was the 3rd time I’ve bought meat and it was discoloured and bad. T-bones and the tenderloin smelled horrible and were grey the same day I purchased them.They have to monitor the meat way better. It worries me how the meat is handled in the back and where it’s coming from. Got to do something about the foul smell. Off to Farrons meats or super store for now on.

There is a stench of rancid meat in this shop, which didn't seem to bother anyone else, but I had to leave quickly to avoid vomiting. That said, I don't think it's unsafe and the prices are reasonable. Even without the stench the variety of what you'd expect from a butcher-type shop is lacking. Not really worth making a separate trip for.

I prepaid for a large family size butcher bundle yesterday and picked up today. We are a home of 2 in our 50s...it cost $264.00 but it said for a large family of 8 to 12 people so I thought perfect it'll fill my freezer. So I get there to pick it up and everyone's confused because they want to ship it ( I live a block away ) anyways an Awesome lady ( I know because I'm there weekly, and her son and I wear hearing aids)that works there took care of me big time, making calls etc etc meanwhile other customers are beyond upset wanting help with her, mad at me, going to the cashier to help them ...there was not many of them working to help her out . she totally took care of me but then out còmes my order Wow!!it didn't even fill a box so I looked in it and ended up spending another hundred , and I easily lifted it into my the house errerggg and after that nightmare my freezer isn't remotely filledand this meat better taste like gold for these prices. I won't be ordering your So called Bundles again and stop putting $299 crossed out then $264 ...it's not a deal at all or a good experience. I doubt this review will be up at all but its truth..

Not only was this dangerous because the chicken was filled with splinters, but it was quite concerning to think about how the legs were broken. A couple years ago, my first and only experience with mr.meat, I bought a package of chicken wings. They looked ok in the package but when I got home and opened it, it stunk the whole house up. It was far past bad. I took it back for a refund and they told me they were unable to do that without a manager present and that I would have to come back hours later near closing time when a manager may or may not be there that could issue the refund for 10ish dollars. Will never ever go back and have told everyone to do the same.

Shop here regularly for meat as staff are courteous, conscientious with safety precautions due to the pandemic and shelves are traditionaly well stocked. However of late, sale items are "sold out" (chicken wings) an hour after opening. Come back the next day, same thing, still sold out. Sadly, maybe it's time Mr. Meat puts limits on their purchases as well.

This store is the place to go for consistantly low meat prices. They also often have items that are approaching the best by date and offer good deals. The cheese selection is ok and the meat counter/deli counter is well stocked. Milk items and some breads are available too. There are more things available too, plus Jeff's Produce is attached, so it can be a one stop shop.

I went in today, the place smells like something dead in their for years. the meat quality is so poor. They post fake sale flyers, i went at 9:10 am on Tuesday exact time when they open, I needed to buy chicken that was on sale as they had on their flyers, and guess what it was sold out!!!! Surprise it was sold in 15 minutes really no line ups that plaza was completely dead and the staff told me they sold out. Would never go their again. I DO NOT recommend this place to anyone.

Good quality meat and the sales are awesome because the prices can't be beat at other stores. Prices are sometimes comparable to local grocery stores but some meats are much cheaper here and the selection is way higher. It is also nice to not get a pack of sliced meat drench in juice like at the grocery store. Parking lot is a mess of cracked and uneven concrete but there are more than enough spaces. This store is wheelchair accessible and the service is nice. Recently they started wrapping the sliced meat in paper that leeches the dye so if you get a light colour meat, it will have red dye all over it in a couple days because of the wrapper. The bags are also a bit weak and the ziploc tabs ripped quite easily so I had to transfer the meat to a different bag. Not major issues but noticeable nonetheless.

I bought $180 in food last night at M.R. meat Got home seen the hot dog buns had blue mold . My kids seen the 2 strips of kabbasa meat and started to eat some they all spit it out at the same time it was 10 days past due. So I checked all groceries and found the balony was 4 days past due. I returned to store to tell the manager . IN total was only $6 I wanted refunded. What he said next blew me away. He said only one bun has mold on it and the balony is only 4 days past due and the kabosa was frozen when you bought it so expire dates don't count when its frozen. I said it taste so bad its not eatable you try an eat it. He said I cant refund your money because you don't like how it tastes . I told him its gone bad not that I just don't like the tastes. He then said sorry best I can do is refund the buns $1.99 . Unreal I told him to just keep it all I wont be back. This is all over $6. I spend with my 5 kids at least $150 a week there. I just cant believe his thought process on this situation. Never should a customer be treated like that and past due food isn't even accepted at the food bank for free never mind selling it. My suggestion shop for your meat were you know its fresh.

Mr meats is a great place. Alongside Joseph's, is almost a one stop shop for groceries. Why I gave 3 * is that the quality of the meats has declined over the past few years. I've been going to mr meats for about 12 years now. The beef is a great price. The lunch meat is good. The chicken , well I dont purchase that anymore. Other then that . The staff is friendly.

Twice now I have purchased steaks there. Ist time 45 worth in the garbage as the swell was horrific. They don't put a best before sticker on meat but a date it was packaged. Again I thought I would try steaks again as the price is great. Those were lovely. Chicken wings not so much. Open the pack and they almost smell like bleach. Thrown out. Sure won't feed my family thst.
