Huge props on all of the changes and adjustments during the pandemic. Laura's has always been a staple, with a great menu and really comfy seating, and I'm always stoked to see how busy it gets on weekend mornings. Don't miss it if you're visiting White Rock! A coffee and a fresh pastry are worth the line.
Fantastic food ! They have it all . Sweet baking , savoury food and great coffee .
You can tell how good it is by how busy it is., it's a busy spot. Great food and all home made. Will definitely be back.
I've been visiting this coffee shop for over a year now and have had an excellent experience again and again. My go-to is chorizo and potato hash. The coffee is excellent. To top it off, the service is top-notch and genuine!
My favourite spot in our cozy little town. The coffee is the best and the food is always so fresh and delicious! Not to mention the owner Laura, honestly takes the time to get to know her visitors regardless of the mayhem happening behind in the kitchen ! I personally have seen her elbow deep kneading dough but she always makes the effort to look up and say hello.
great coffee tasting and good frappuccino but bun tasting not bad smell hm...like that's why I gave 4star.this is good for brunch and coffee.
Nice place. Good coffee. Different vibe here than I personally like for a coffee shop. It's a little more hustle and bustle I'd say. Nice place, but not a place I would personally chill and drink my coffee and do some work on my laptop.
Laura's coffee is the best experience that you can have in White Work. The food is gorgeous, the staffs are amazing and about Laura, I have no words, she is wonderful! My favourite coffee shop in BC
We just stopped in here for our first time for some coffee. This is a very comfortable, cozy, quaint coffee and breakfast house with absolutely delicious looking pastries. We promised ourselves to come back next weekend for breakfast. Can't wait!
Laura's is full of tasty treats and kind people! I ordered a two tier chocolate cake for my friend's birthday, it was beautifully decorated and delicious. They did an amazing job, and even asked me about the party and cake when I came in next! It's also a great place to have coffee with a friend, if you can find a seat :)
Fresh and delicious. Wish there was more gluten free and vegan options. But otherwise, everything is amaaaaazing!
Dine in
HERE’S WHAT I LOVE: 1). Tons of bakery and sandwich options. 2). Fun sandwich garnishes (see pics)! 3). $1.50 cookies 4). Sunny patio 5). Cozy indoor vibe 6). Best spot to bring a friend 7). 2hr street parking in front 8). Environmentally friendly: no styrofoam! 9). Solid coffee mugs! Lastly, Laura is super nice! She actually loves her business and customers. If you have a question, just ask her. Thanks Laura and staff. I will be back :)
This is an amazing coffee, brunch, lunch and hangout spot! Homey decor, lots of space, fairly quiet in the outer sitting area but then there's a boardwalk patio area if you want to be out in the sun! Chorizo Hash was very tasty and the spice of the sausage blended well with the garnishes and potatoes. Coffee was excellent!
Meal type
The food is amazing, and you won't be disappointed. Best pastries ever!
Terrific place. Great service . Great food.
Fantastic food and dessert! Everything made with love and you can really taste it. My wife and I shared a Garden Salad and a Roasted Chicken Sandwich. They were delicious. We didn’t even ask for them to split it and they did for us! We were really wowed by everything. For dessert we had a brownie and pineapple walnut cake. It was heavenly!
I don't typically write reviews but this is an exception, if I could give zero stars I would, the staff is extremely rude and unprofessional maybe this is due to the unspoken tension that lingers in the air. I've heard the owner and staff openly bad mouth their customers, which is unfortunate considering the only reason why this place seems to succeed is due to community support, when really this place is average at best. I was sad to write this place off as I loved coming to this local hub to engage with people in my community, but slowly the regulars started to disappear, once I switched shops I realized that they have also gone elsewhere. Will not miss this place!
This midget be the best place we visited during our trip to white rock. It was open early and had a huge selection of baked goods and breakfast choices. Everything was very spaced out and covid friendly. Clear line for enter and exit. Our food tasted great and really loved the sausages. It was a refreshing option to have avocado instead of meat too. They also promote pride by being a RCMP safe place which was great to see. Definitely would go back
This place is always busy but don't sweat if there's a wait, 'cause it's worth it. Friendly staff make it go fast and the meals here are homemade and delicious. The wide selection of fresh baked goods laid out at opening every day defies description. Coffee is excellent. Lots of extra seating outside under umbrellas.
Always so Good. July 18/19 asked dad where he wanted to go for brunch on his 89th birthday? Dads reply, "Laura's! Dad had a Sour Cherry Scone, D had a Fresh Fruit Flan & I behond enjoyed the Chorizo & Hash topped with 2 perfectly pouched eggs. All made in house. Oh ya, the coffee's where damn good as well. By far our favorite place to go in White Rock!
Fabulous coffee shop..be sure to order a treat with your coffee! Also, loved last week's pop up sop.
Had only a limited menu due to COVID, but overall a great atmosphere. Coffee is great and the English Muffin was to die for. Also had to grab the amazing looking cinnamon buns for the road. If your looking for a great, but simple cafe this place is for you!
Love Laura's! Good coffee, good food, good service! Locally owned. Try it out if you've never been there.
Amazing pastry and great coffee, one of my favorite cafes of whiterock
Delicious food! Excellent service. The selection is amazing, highly recommend
AMAZING cafe. One of the best espressos I've had in BC. Friendly service and so many options of food or drink. Will definitely be going back soon!
Food was delicious. Breakfast bagel and avocado toast. Coffee was also good. Staff was friendly even while very busy. Breakfast the week before Christmas and the place was hopping. Amazing baked goods. Definitely coming back to try out the baked goods.
Beautiful cozy cafe in White Rock. They have a huge selection of savoury and sweets. Beautiful place to hang out with a friend or read book and enjoy a cup of coffee and panini.
Had lunch with a friend at Laura's last week. The restaurant was packed to the brim but we managed to get a wee table. Our salads arrived in no time flat piled high with fresh fruit....which was such a treat in February! The dressing was delicious and we ate every last bit. Highly recommended.
Covid has impacted everyone but 30 mins for a panini was unreal. Anyways good luck. Underwhelming experience. Front of staff were nice just service really stung.
Such a great vibe here. An amazing ocean view from the patio. Super cool decor. Friendly staff. So many delicious baking choices. Highly recommend the chocolate banana bread. Great gluten free options too. Try the Canadiano: like an Americano but with Maple Syrup, eh? YUM.
I come here regularly and I absolutely love their food, their employees, and the other regulars. I've been able to host school-organized jazz jams in the cafe and I know that Laura uses the space for other events like the Blue Dot campaign and others. The food here tastes great as it all tastes homemade. They have many pastries and sandwiches and lots of options for dietary needs. This is an ideal spot for any meetings, hangouts, catch-ups, or jazz jams!
It was close to closing time. I had asked for 2 flat white pumpkin spice coffees. Delicious ???? and very friendly service????
Nice feel about the place, brewed coffee was okay, not great. Cinnamon bun was just okay as well, lemony taste to it, not what I want in a cinnamon bun. My wife enjoyed her tea and lemon tart.
Service
Hello Laura. I had a wonderful time at your establishment. My grandson Deeba had the chorizo and potato hash and loved it. Thank you
coffee is bad here cuz espresso shots are ALWAYS burnt but the pastries are good.
A true White Rock gem. Enjoy some great coffee with even better pastries. My family and I come here as often as possible.
Looove all the sandwiches we've tried so far and they make the best matcha latte.
All baking is top notch, arguably the best in the area. Prepared breakfast is simple and wholesome-not a ton of flavour, but you can tell its healthy.
Lunch
AMAZING food selection!! Whatever you get is just delicious ???? great ambiance...specially in a good weather just sit outside with a friend or two and enjoy your drink in the sun (the best thing ever). You do have to struggle a bit to find parking since it's a popular spot. Also another thing they don't serve at your table you have to order at the cashier. Definitely my go to for a relaxing day ;)
Their coffee is excellent and a bargain at $2.00. The pastries look very appetizing. The only criticism I would have is the slowness of getting the food out the door. Expect a more than average wait time to have your food order completed. Update: not much improvement over past 3 months. 35 to 40 minutes to get a toasted bagel and cream cheese. Most restaurants can give you a complete meal from the kitchen in this period of time. We are planning to bring our own pastries for our next coffee visit!
Good food and kind staff. Their bakery selection continues to be yummy. I like the measurements they've taken for COVID times, and the service continues to be great despite the changes. Sometimes it can get too crowded though. I hope they're not requiring staff to work overtime and they're offering incentive for those who are working during this time.
We had the opportunity to visit Laura’s coffee corner today and it is a hopping place. It was a very busy, but fast pace coffee shop, yet at the same time it was also welcoming and relaxing. We all had some sort of fruit smoothie and I must say it was very good. We loved the natural flavours with all the fresh fruit in it. It was a very short distance to walk to the beach. All the staff there was extremely friendly including the owner, Laura herself. We had the opportunity to meet a young man that was going around sanitizing the place. We believe his name is Trevor, and he did a amazing job at keeping all the tables clean and sanitize. Thank you Trevor for keeping the place safe with your hard work and having smiling eyes (we cannot see Trevor’s smile due to the masks, but we can see his friendly and smiley eyes). Keep up the good work, Trevor!! We definitely will be back for lunch next time and we hope to see you there!!
Gem in this town! Great place to relax in the morning! I love the bakery, the coffee and its atmosphere. I can chill here all morning!
This place is always busy but for a reason! The sandwiches and pastries are TO DIE FOR! & of course the staff are so warm and welcoming too, you definitely feel the friendly local vibe!
We've gone to this cafe many times over the years. The food is delicious and employees are friendly. They also do so many helpful things for the local community, like food drive collections. Thanks so much for your scrumptious foods and involvement in the community.
one of a kind, just The place to go to, with friends, family, gain a couple of pounds, chill and enjoy!
My wife and I attended this lovely place in the early months of its opening. Our daughter was still rocking in a car seat back then, and we sat in a cozy corner and indulged in a lunch and some baked goods. Absolutely phenomenal food, baked goods and service! If the written word isnt enough, I highly encourage you to try it out. I had work meeting in December 2019 and was truly impressed with the lineup that literally went out the door - a good 15+ feet away from the cashier!!
Still a very busy place with dine-in snacks, lunch, and baked sweets. Laura's Coffee Corner is the best around, especially in the city of White Rock. Laura's rating is top for a reason, because she works hard, is very hands on when I saw her mixing one of her recipes yesterday. She's in the back as usual. The facts are a top rating in the 92nd percentile after 600+ reviews. What a great achievement.
Wonderful fresh food. Safety protocols in place. Awesome recycling ♻️ in place too! Contentious, caring, genuine, sincere...you can feel it all when you're there. A community gem. Love it.
Super tasty breakfast sandwich, available on GF English muffin and they tend to be careful about asking about cross contamination, super nice to see! I think there’s a couple of items my son (multiple allergic) can have but not many. That’s not rare tho. lol
It was exactly how people raved about it. Great coffee and great pastry. We enjoyed immensely!
Lovely Cafe, awesome Bakery and best coffee
First time here. Good coffee. Great fritatta and salad.
Food is very good. Double chocolate scone very rich. Busy , not suitable for those looking for peace and quiet.
A cozy coffee corner with a cool ambience. They occasionally have live music from local folks. Love their cakes, sandwiches and coffee.
