The meat is excellent, we’ve been customers since they opened. However, they don’t care enough about customer health to wear masks. I was there and every customer had a mask, only half the staff were wearing them. I’ll not be back until the pandemic is over, and those who are vulnerable would be advised to stay away as well.

This morning I bought a flank steak from Market Meats and paid for it with cash. When I got home, I discovered the sticker price on the steak was $10 LESS than what I was told it was. Whoever the fellow was who served me today went home $10 richer. He was, by the way, rather excited when I told him I was paying cash. My fault maybe...I should have double checked the price before leaving the store but nonetheless, it's not cool to steal from customers. Furthermore, the steak (sticker price $41.18, "cash price" $51.18) was tough, tasteless, and didn't absorb the marinade. It was actually inedible.

I bought extra lean grounded meat. When I got home it was anything BUT lean. Sooo much fat! I returned and complained. They said they had by misstake given me 30% fat. At a later time I got another bag with extra lean (the correct one) but even this is anything but lean. Sooo much fat! I would expect a butcher would try to keep high standard, but now it's better to just to to Safewat across the street. Their regular grounded meet has less fat then Market Meats extra lean.

My favourite butcher, organic meats, sausages, and in house marinated meats. Delicious organic Turkeys at Christmas (order early). They even offer home made stuffing and gravy to go along with it. It is also full of delicious condiments and sauces. A gourmet's delight!

Noticing all these complaints about the smallest things. (eye-roll) but lets be real. From the moment you walk in to when you leave its an amazing experience. I've never ENJOYED going into a butcher shop until I came to this one. I get greeted instantly, the energy there from every person wearing a MASK OR NOT (But they all do) are so friendly and do their best to make your experience a great one. Everything my boyfriend and I have ever bought there is amazing. What do you expect when you walk into a butcher shop, of course youre going to be paying more. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. QUALITY MEATS! If you want to be cheap, go to superstore. Just saying. Eating is a great time and these guys get you excited to rush home and make dinner. AND their house made jerky is to DIE FOR. I love jerky but these ones are next level. I will always be coming back to this meat shop and recommend others to get their meats from them too. It's worth it.

The selection and quality here is hard to match, but I especially want to call out the excellent staff and service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and best of all, incredibly knowledgeable about what they sell and how you could cook whatever you're buying. They'll gladly cut or butcher anything you see in the case so you can get exactly what you want.

I got into the store 10 minutes before closing, so everything was packed up. I asked for a nice ribeye steak and they tried to sell me what looked like a pork chop from No Frills... zero marbling, pale, skinny, pre wrapped in plastic, and (for what it was) wildly over priced @ $25. “You’re in luck.” Is what the guy said to me after he passed it to me. Yeah, I guess I’m lucky to be a regular customer at a different butcher shop. Didn’t buy it and won’t go back.

Great customer service and knowledgeable staff. They have a wide verity of meats, poultry, exotic stuff, deli meats, Jarred goods, spices, whole bbq chicken and a lot more stuff. They have a wide verity of prices for meats, from cheap to expensive. They also sell wagyu beef, Japanese A5 wagyu and Canadian wagyu. I’d call ahead if want any specific items, they can make sure they have stock and also order for you.

By far the best butcher in this side of town. Service is A1. Suggestions and know-how is as good as the quality of their products. Cuts and freshness are unequaled compared to other shops we've tried. I make sure to stop whenever I can for inspiration. I have never been disappointed with any of the loot I left with from this shop. No, it is not considerably more expensive unless you plan on feeding a table of 12. And if you are, I recommend you impress your guests by cooking with their product. :)

I'm a regular at Market Meats because the owner and the staff are SUPER helpful and friendly, and the meat is high quality. Plus, they have all the "stuff" you need to go with having people over for a barbecue or dinner party. Yesterday I tried his "done for you" organic turkey and stuffing - WOW - best and moistest turkey I've had in years. And I pre-ordered it online! Talk about no hassle and big win - these guys are truly Vancouver's Best Butcher!

Have had the burgers here a couple times now, and they are the best. I usually like to grind my own, as that's the only way my partner is OK with medium rare burgers. But when I can't, this combo of chuck and brisket is amazing! Can't say enough good things, except for maybe, consider some boneless short ribs in the mix. Buy these burgers, they are wonderful!

Love this aesthetically pleasing shop. We live in Richmond now but still stop in when in the area. Very good selection of both raw and cured meats. Lots of sauces to choose from as well. Really like the gourmet potatoe chips that were in stock today. If this were my store, I would be proud to own it.

Ribs are one of my favourite dishes. I would purchase ribs from this place because they were decent and were only required to be quickly heated up. However, recently when I purchased ribs from this butcher, I would find small bone shards throughout the meat. Every time I took a bite, I would have to spend at least a minute picking out the multiple tiny bone fragments in the meat from my mouth. To me, thusseems like a case of poor meat butchering and possibly using a dull saw to cut the ribs.

Honestly one of the worst butchers I have ever visited, their meat quality is horrendous and price is way overcharge, especially for the quality, its basically robbery. I am very used to spending a lot of money on premium meat but I was offered a dry aged rib eye single bone for $250 and was honestly one of the worst quality steak I have ever had. This place is honestly shameless for charging ridiculous price for animal feed... avoid at all costs....

Twice now I've rushed there, arriving at 650 for a 7pm closing time to find the doors locked. It's quite annoying. What's actual closing time since the advertised one is clearly inaccurate? Is 30mins enough? Otherwise, if you can get inside, meat quality is good and the staff are very friendly.
