Amazing!!! That is the only word that comes to mind when anyone mentions Jackson's!! The staff knows their stuff and are super happy to assist anyway they can! Their selection of meats and cheeses is outstanding! The freezer is always full of surprises, with all the different pies and sausages! You can not go wrong with Jackson's Meat and Deli!!

I was really disappointed to get home to see the bottom of my $40 per lbs tenderloin was covered in grissle and completely brown. And it was smelling a little off.

Fantastic choice of meats and great music too! I picked up some buffalo chicken wings, lemon herb chicken skewers, and a couple house made burger patties to throw on the grill. The buffalo wings had a decent kick and were absolutely top notch. Juicy, meaty, and full sized too! The burgers tasted fantastic and were well seasoned but not overpowering like other house made patties I've tried in the past. The lemon herb skewers got devoured in no time too. The marinade was done to perfection and despite the title, the lemon was very subtle but still present and mixed nicely with the herbs. All this on top of a warm and friendly staff who are more than happy to help and answer questions with confidence and respect. Great job! Oh and the music is awesome too ????

The meat was good but that's where it ends with this place. I ordered 300g (0.66lbs) each of 3 different meats (chuck, brisket, short rib) over the phone, which I was told no problem - it would be ready when I came to pick it up. When I picked it up, the pricing seemed a bit steep. As I'm walking out of the store I read the amount they put in the ground beef, and the proportions were all off. I was given less of the cheaper chuck, more of the brisket, and 1.5x the amount of the short rib. Now, I'm not complaining over the extra $8-10 dollars I overpaid, but when I went back inside to ask about why the specifications were off, I was told "If I cut part of the short rib off I'm not really left with much else to sell so I had to give you the rest." Fine, that's reasonable; you don't want to waste. But you had 3 hours to fulfill that order and call me if this was an issue - OR prepare the order after I came in with the issue as "it would only take 10 minutes." What I received was a semi-sympathetic "that's just how it is", and out the door I went after all I got was the blank stare from the manager(?). Huge lack of integrity and no attempt to remedy their shady "upsell". Go elsewhere, there are other places open on this street.

Low-key the best spot in Kits. Amazing selection of goods in the back and an awesome little resto bar up front. Staff are all great, particularly Whitney who, after working a decade in hospitality myself, I can say is one of the greatest industry professionals I've come across. Excellent food & drink, competitive prices. Can't complain! If you're in the area, check it out.

A special mention to the 2 young ladies who looked after us, well done and thank you for giving us a heads up just before Hapoy Hour was scheduled to end, Managed to get another drink at happy hour rates......

I have been a customer at Jackson’s meats for years. Today,however, may be the last time. Apparently it is not first come first serve. It is first and second white dude served and then maybe anyone one else. Went in to pick up some burgers and a roast and there was one customer. Waiting patiently and then heard loud man get served. An older staff member was milling about but did not ask if I need help. Then looked over and saw he was serving another white guy. I followed the arrows to get to the meat counter but apparently everyone one else (who happened to be dudes) did their own thing. I am sick and tired of having to interrupt people to ask for service. Today I did not and how many other women experience the same. Sadly I don’t think I have the energy to fight to be heard so will likely not go there again. Maybe I will after some rest. We shall see. Did not even get a chance to try the restaurant.

Jackson's on 4th already dominates the meat game on the Westside. We know that. Seeing a restaurant open up as part of a butcher shop.... that sounds like a excellent recipe for juicy mouth watering food. My wife and I were excited to try it out already being Jacksons customers. I came into the place and I felt like I was walking into Nashville, or Southern Tennesse. Place looks slick with clever decor, they did a great job designing the room. There is a fantastic feature wall with plenty of beers on tap, spacious seating. I am excited to come back for a few beers, selection looked good. Service was sharp, our Irish server was excellent! Passionate about the food he was suggesting, always a good sign at a restaurant. Jackson Burger - moist, top end patty your uncle Bill will never be able to match. Large / glorious. I will be back. Place reminded me of Nashville, love that place!

We stopped by to get sausages and the butcher area was closed. We came in to eat in their new dining area. Sausage sampler was so delicious! Sauces on the side were amazing. Great service and drinks! We will definitely be back again!

Jackson’s Resto Butcher is a very quality meat and deli store and also has an outdoor patio space that serves a varied menu of smoked and grilled meats as well as vegetarian choices..craft beer is also served..additionally there is a takeout and delivery service..the staff are very knowledgeable and friendly..we frequent this Kitsilano family owned store usually once weekly…all COVID-19 restrictions are observed…we frequently prepare our very quality meat purchases on our barbecue with wonderful results…

Casual and comforting! And meaty. Lots and lots of meat. We tried the Jackson burger and braised short rib plate. A bit on the pricier side for the portions but tasty. I wish the short rib plate came with more vegetables aside from the mushrooms. Pretty popular place, we had to wait for seating but they called us when our table was ready which was nice. Service was friendly! We'll definitely be back.

I went out of my way to order a fresh organic free-range Turkey from Jackson’s. I am preparing Christmas Dinner for 7 family and friends, and want the best. When I ordered it 6 weeks ago they assured me I could pick the bird up on the 24th. My order receipt specifies Dec. 24th. Only problem is - Jackson’s is closed on Dec. 24th. So at the last minute I have to find a replacement bird. I’m pretty ticked off I tell you!

Asked how much fat it was in the Extra Lean minced meat. Answer: 5-10%.... When I got home my package contained a very white minced meat, FULL OF FAT. Definitely around 25-30% fat.. Or even more. Very disappointing.

Really nice atmosphere. The outdoor dining was great. Excellent customer service. Food was great - I had a chicken schnitzel sandwich. The chicken was really juicy and the fries were so fresh and crispy.

My go to butcher in Kitsilano, I shop here all the time. Staff is always knowledgeable and friendly and the prices are far more reasonable than the other butchers around this area, still a bit pricey but it’s worth it for the quality that they put out. Highly recommend coming here!

After a bad experience with customer service I did not shop here for a few years. Gave them another try today and it was another negative interaction: arrogant and not at all appreciative for the business. Plus, the quality of the products has gone downhill. I purchased some chicken but that was the only meat that didn't look old and questionable. There are better choices for quality and service nearby (Market Meats and Granville Island.) Never going back.

I have dealt with Jackson Meats for decades, and have always appreciated the quality of the meat and the service. However, in the last few months I have not been as pleased. Our Thanksgiving turkey was missing skin on the breast (@3''round), had freezer burn on one of the drumsticks, and was missing part of a wing. I later complained about this, and was offered a discount on our Christmas turkey. The Christmas turkey was excellent, and my faith in Jacksons restored. However, today I went to Jacksons for a few items. I was the only person at the meat counter, and 3 people were behind the counter. I asked for 2 large chicken legs, and got the first two the employee grabbed. I asked for 2 small chicken schnitzel, again the employee picked up the first one she touched. I told her it looked too large, and was told they were all the same size. I asked her to search further, and she was able to find 2 schnitzel each about half the weight of the first. I then asked for either 3 small bratwurst or 2 large ones. Despite there being a small one on top, I was given 3 large ones. This is an example of exactly the service I do not want to receive. I will continue to shop at Jacksons for the next little while, but if the service I receive is not consistently good, I will take my business elsewhere. Sincerely, Jane Mac Ewan.

So happy to have this store in my neighbourhood. If we are all going to reduce our use of plastic (particularly styrofoam trays, soaker pads, and cling wrap), then this is what meat shopping looks like. Plus, we very much like the sausages which are nicely flavoured and not too salty, like some others we've tried. So, win-win.

Sat down in their patio for a quick lunch while waiting for my wife. Did not expect much but I think I may have had the best chicken schnitzel sandwich in Vancouver.it was also massive and on their happy hour menu. When my wife got there, I made her get one too cause it was soon good. If you go here, try the chicken Schnitzel sandwich! They also have a few good beers on tap, however, it would be nice to get a Heff on tap with the summer starting. Servers are quite nice and service is fast.

We have purchased meat here for years living in Kitsilano and I walked by and noticed they'd morphed into a half butcher/half restaurant the other day and my husband and I decided to try it out on an impromptu date night, and it was FANTASTIC! Incredible service, perfect people watching, adorable street patio and obviously amazing food! The butcher has been there for 109 years, I hope the restaurant lasts another 100!

The butcher shop is fantastic and the meat and poultry options are quality. The resto-bar is also incredible. I had the cuban and the brisket sandwiches and both were fantastic. Might be the best Cuban sandwich in Vancouver (and they sub pulled chicken in theirs). The fries are crisp and fluffy and served with a house made ancho-chile ketchup which is unique and delicious. Coupled with a cool atmosphere this is a must try in Kits!

Looking for a burger? I recommend this place! Might look q bit pricey but totally worths it. The burger has a huge ratio of meat vs other stuff and the meat was well prepared. The staff were super friendly and we will definitely be back.
