I have been coming here for years. Service is always fast and friendly, no matter how busy it is. The meat is always fresh and perfect for any meal you wish to prepare. Their dips are incredible, I'll buy the tubs of tzatziki and at least one tub of all the others. You'll find just about everything you'll need to make a great meal. And for dessert just pop in next door to their bakery. I can't recommend anything because everything I've tried has been awesome.

This is like a trip to Greece, the foods here are mostly imported. From Greek Feta to Kalamata olives, Xopio Olive Oil that you can't compare it to anything. They also sell souvlaki or kebobs from chicken, beef, park and others. Steaks , fish and much more. Easy free parking. A MUST SEE AND TRY!

If you are looking for Greek non perishables then this is your place. Great selection of cheese, pasta, beans, etc. Imported. However if you are looking for the best meat then I would recommend "The Butcher Shop" at Kingston and Markham. You need to go there to see the difference. Kosta's is still ok but for serious meat I highly recommend elsewhere (The Butcher Shop!).

Butchers should not pass off a substitute in order to make a sale! I asked the counter clerk for pancetta and he asks the butcher/cutter in the back, who says no, we have pork belly. I say no thanks, who then suddenly says he does have pancetta, but has to go to the back and get it and cut. I find out after I get home, he just gave me the pork belly, that I already declined.

Editing my original review. I've been coming here for quite some time to exclusively purchase my chicken. I spend $300 a month minimum for chicken that isn't always fresh as it is sometimes discoloured with dark grey fat. Customer service and retaining customers is the last thing these guys care about, so I will take my money elsewhere. Staff also do not wear masks which is quite filthy.

Amazing local butcher. The prices are great along with the meat selection and quality. My go-tos are the beef Kebab and any souvlaki mainly lamb. Come here for good meat and homemade feta. Their in-house sauces need to be purchased at least once.

I was a Kostas market customer for over 20 years and i was spending a fair amount of money weekly at the store. Couple of years ago i was sold (during Greek Easter) a whole lamb which was hard to eat, like an old cow. I was given the excuse that the butcher made a mistake and gave me a fresh killed lamb and that i would be given a full refund. Well, 2 years later not only i have not be given a refund, not only i have purchased 1 more lamb that was chewy and hard to eat but now apparently they are charging $35 per pound for lamb chops (they call them French lollipop chops) which i'm buying from Highland farm for many years now, for $15.99 per pound. Very disappointed cause that store was my home away from home to me but when Kostas is not much around the mice are running free. Too bad.

Kostas is one of my goto butchers in our district the old fashioned Greek way. Kostas will prepare it the way you want if you give them a couple of days notice. I have never been disappointed with their meat or services during the regular season or at the holidays.

Originally this establishment was very helpful, friendly, and good priced. My grandparents have been patrons of Kostas for several years because he is the closest to authentic Greek cuisine/meats in their neighbourhood. For the past few years their service has declined, and this year my grandmother was screamed at after being told to come to pick up her $200 piece of meat, and told to stop bothering him. Not sure where this erratic behaviour is coming from, but even if it's stress related to the season, it's completely unnecessary and just plain rude. After finally receiving the meat, it was bleached, and had little to no flavour. If this is how he treats regular customers, I suppose as long as you're not regular customer, he'll treat you like gold.

Perfectly butterflied leg of lamb for quick and even grilling. I needed a way of quickly preparing a leg of lamb for some unexpected guests. I did not have the time to slow roast. The head butcher at Kostas found me a beautiful leg of lamb. He removed the bone keeping all of the meat in one piece. He then was able to butterfly the entire piece of meat and kept the entire cut an even thickness for quick and even cooking. Every single bite was enjoyed by my guests. Thank you very much. Remember to speak to the tall butcher with the earphones. He knows his stuff.

I called and asked for beef cheeks and they confirmed they had it. I went to the store and they sold me 3 frozen unmarked bags of meat and assured it was cheeks (confirmed again in store). It was marked at $4.99 and they tried to ring it at $5.99 until I kindly reminded them. Bought it for a special occasion and spent 8 hours cooking it. Turned out it was BEEF LIVER. So disappointed. My first and last time coming here.

I went to this shop based on high review.I am not satisfied.Firstly, the butcher that served me was rude.I think this shop fits to regular old fashioned community specific customers. Last night bought lamb shoulder to be used for a curry and requested that it be trimmed. It was hacked away with a belligerence that was uncalled for, all while talking with a cell phone stuck on his shoulder. I have $45 worth of bone and bone shards and fat that I now have to trim. That server should be fired. Though I have purchased here before I will never buy here again. Back to Costco for lamb.

Bought a whole lamb in June, once we got it home and unwrapped it was evident from the smell that the lamb that it was going “bad”. We decided against cooking the lamb, based on the smell and called the store. The response from Kosta’s over the phone was not one of concern or inquiry, rather we were told that the time that it took for us to transport the lamb is what caused it to go back; a complete denial of any fault and a nonsensical explanation about transportation being the issue. Bottom line, we were sold a lamb that was going “bad” and Kosta’s had absolutely no concern charging us for it and consuming a meat product that should have NEVER been sold for consumption.

The quality of meat is fantastic, at prices that compete with the nearby grocery and big box stores. In particular, I love that they will cut a piece to order, fresh grind my favourite ground meat mix of veal, pork and beef. The steaks are generously sized, but if I want something thicker - no problem. Love the double chicken breasts. Of note, the greek dips are fantastic and they've locked on to a great supplier of pita.
