On June 10,2021, we placed an order for 2 family and 2 regular whole broasted chicken.It costs $92.16. usually they provide us with delicious dishes. Their BBQ chicken was Fantastic. we planed to eat something different from there. That's why we chose Broast. unfortunately the dish was completely flavourless it tasted like nothing. feels like stale and nasty. I recommend their BBQ chicken. However, please don't never ever try their Broasted chicken.

We ordered a catering order for 40 people and the restaurant was able to accommodate the order on a timely manner, it was well packed and organized and delivered on time from Scarborough to Downtown Toronto for cheap delivery fees, there prices are the best among all middle eastern restaurants that serves halal meat, we will definitely order from them again.

Except the food my experience today was not as expected, inside was such a mess and for 1st time nobody asks you for a help you have to figure out yourself how it works, you wait outside for your turn and when I took my order after about 20 MN the guy didn't remind me about my drinks that I forgot to take. Inside not enough space if you are discovering for 1st time. Customer service to be checked frequently.

Great food and fresh meat but the customer service is so bad! I have been their customer for the past 2 years and I shop from them at least 3-4 times in week. It doesn’t matter you shop in the morning, noon, evening or night, The employees look mad Any time of the day you visit there! I always say hello to the cashiers/chefs and thank them at the end but they never smile or reply! I still go to this store. I hope they take it into consideration that hospitality is Part of customer service! I still enjoy their shawarmas but If the mad face keeps continuing it switch to other nearby stores! Btw the food is 5star!

Places like these are very rare so do not take it for granted. You get to choose and pick your own fish and ask for it grilled, baked or fried. The prices are quite great too. If you are getting fried, I highly recommend getting the small whiting fish. They are very tasty when fired and best price ever. My wife got the salmon fillet and she loved it. She said perfectly cooked and spiced. Their batata hara ( potatoes) are the best you can ever have. Do yourself a favor and go eat there.

Great store, good staff, and a good $5.00 student special with a shawarma and a drink. Normal priced about $8.00 but definitely worth it in my opinion.

Good things come to those who wait! Not a place for a quick bite, but boy, great food will be your reward! Clean, great service, amazing food. Get you fish right off the ice and the kitchen cooks it either over charcoal or fried. Went 2 nights in a roll! Opens til 10pm. Just love it!

This is one of the best places to get meat . It is clean. The owner is excellent person , helpful, cooperative , cheerful, respectful, and very understanding person. He is there most of the time and willing to receive any comment and correct any mistake by his staff with smile and compensation . I think this one of the main reasons that make the place successful and busy around the clock . Some of the staff need more training and honestly specially when it comes to buy meat . Both resistants are good, clean , and the food is really nice . Only one comment that if they place paper mats on the tables then it will be much better and easier for them to clean the tables faster . Prices are reasonable comparing to the quality of the food in the area . I have been shopping from this place for the last four years ( it was previously at the opposite side as a small shop ) I wish them all the best

Absolute best place for shawarma. Every single time I have visited, they maintain the same taste and quality. Other places do not spread the base sauce on the pita bread but here, the sauce , veggies and meat are equally spread in the roll. My go to place for shawarma and fries.

One of the best spots in the city regardless of cuisine. The shawarma sandwich is on another level however don't sleep on the mini-ghadir plate. The quality of the meat explodes with every bite. To top it off, they serve Costco fries. Do not leave the city without trying Ghadir, you will not regret it.

Really one of the best places to go for Lebanese Shawarma and Falafel delights. Prices are moderate to the quality and quantity of dishes available here. Kind of grocery store is attached to the take out kitchen. Loved exploring their grocery section. Grocery offers typical Middle Eastern items highlights are varieties of favoured tea, imported Arabian dates (my favourite Medjool, Khadrawy, Delget Noor, Ajwah, Barhi and other exotic types are available ), sweets and desserts are unique to this store.

Well priced, delicious middle eastern food with a twist. The pita+shawarma bites are fried in such a that I haven't had before. The fries are fresh and delicious as well. There was nothing wrong, but I can't say I was blown away. You can get a $15.99 platter that can easily feed two people.

This place used to be really good but isn’t anymore, their quality went down as well as their customer service. The meat was dry and they hardly put any sauce! They used to put so much sauce and ask what toppings you’d like on your plate but now they serve like it’s a soup kitchen

I cannot understand why anyone would give this place a good review. The food is like the takeout joint from a rundown strip mall that serves food that's been sitting out under a heat lamp all day. The portions are so small compared to all other comparable Schwarma places in Scarborough . They also got my order wrong by forgetting 2 manakeeches but I didn't check til I got home . The worst part was I found a random piece of food that did not belong in my dish. I couldn't tell if it was half eaten or broke off something else but it was not warm so it was obviously thrown in or fell in from someone's leftovers or something. Either way it was really gross and gives me the impression cleanliness is questionable if old pieces of food is getting into people's orders.

I went there once after a lot of people claimed this was the best shawarma place in town. Relax, it’s okay, nothing too crazy. Not crazy at all actually, it’s your average shawarma place that’s in a grocery store. The chicken was bland and they expect to blow you away with their sauces. Would I go here over all the places on Lawrence Ave? Nope, not at all. I would come here if they were the only place open and I’d I hadn’t had to wait. This place is overrated and overhyped. Try sumaq or aleppo kebab if you want something that’s way above average. Keep coming to this place if you’re an average Joe.

I ordered a chicken shawarma plate, they gave me meat, I returned it and asked for chicken, they then put chicken on top to cover the plate, and put meat underneath. They also charged me for meat, which is more expensive than chicken. Edit: the $2 were compensated after I went back and asked for them/ We didn’t order beef, and if we did, and changed it to chicken, don’t put both! A simple apology for the inconvenience would have made me take down the bad review, but even the reply was unprofessional. Thanks a lot, you were one of my favourite restaurants. Have a good day.

I guess Ghadir is the only authentic Lebanese restaurant . The only place where shawarma tastes like at home sometimes even better. The same goes for his chicken al fahem or barbecue chicken, Tawouk, meat sandwiches. I bet the fish is equally tasty will try it definitely next time... Way to go Ghadir Meat and Restaurant.

I don’t know what has happened with this place. A month ago my partner and I came here and we had shawarma plate which were fantastic! So we decided to go back. Except this time the experience was completely reverse! My partners shawarma plate had the driest meat ever. His sauces were missing even though we asked for it (look at the attached receipt). I don’t think I will be coming back.

Another hidden gem in Scarborough. Since we first discovered this place, we've been eating here so frequently. We've had different fish (from Fish Restaurant just beside it) and sandwiches. They don't skimp on quality, and at the same time they've made it affordable so most people can enjoy Lebanese food. If you're in Scarborough, make sure to check out Ghadir. Highly recommend.

Just the fact that you can choose your fish and get it prepared fresh is unique here in Scarborough! I really liked the side dishes of the seasoned vegetables. They were tasty. You can choose to grill or fry your fish. Had the grilled Sea Bream and fried Red Snapper with the side combo. Worth a try!

I came here late at night and I had a chicken shawarma wrap. In a few words it was amazing. To break it down, the chicken was not the best, it was above average but the sauces they put in the wrap made it amazing. I'll need to come back during the day when the chicken is a bit more fresh. One downside was the wait time. I'm not sure exactly how long I was waiting but it was 10-15 mins, which was a lot more than I expected.

The shawarmas here are probably the best we’ve had in Toronto! I love the falafel sandwich while my husband prefers the beef. We’ve tried their kebabs as well. We did a shawarma & falafel party order for a 20 person picnic brunch and they were very accommodating with our early timing and following our request to cut up the sandwiches. Everyone at the party loved them and we didn’t have a single leftover! Definitely recommend trying it out.

Great food to get authentic Mediterranean food. Their baba ganush and manakeesh was amazing with freshness. We also ordered tawook which was tender and juicy. I would recommend ordering ahead on websiteor phone as they are pretty busy. Service was great too with the lady taking care of the order promptly. The platter came with pita bread, hummus, garlic sauce, salad, pickles, chicken shawarma and rice. The chicken was so flavourful, loved it because it was a bit burnt, and their garlic sauce was THE BEST garlic sauce we have ever had!! Manakeesh are actually mini pies in various sizes, and you can choose toppings to go with, which we always go with the cheese. This is a must try!! The dough was so soft and the cheese was so rich in flavour! Will be returning.

Best shawarma’s. The mix, the fried potatoes, the pickles, the sauce and the bread everything was excellent and freshly prepared. The wrap was wholesome. We got the mix beef and chicken shawarma wrap and it was delicious ???????????? make sure to order the regular not the spicy. With the regular style you taste everything inside the wrap. Busy place but they are well coordinated and they have many staff to attend to customers. All staff are excellent ????????????????

An amazing and large variety of middle eastern food! You can get wraps with not only shawarmas, but also kebabs, sausages and tawook (skewer). Don’t get to try Markouk bread for the wrap instead of the usual pita bread, for an extra $1. It’s a little thinner, softer and chewier. Only criticism I have is that I wish the meat and veggie fillings were more stuffed. I find the sandwich wrap to be too thin. The fries are Costco fries so that’s always a win. I also want to try their different Manakeesh and Lahm-Ajeen breads. The place is always super busy so be ready for a wait. It’s a little confusing initially because you have to order at the cashier, who takes your exact order (including toppings and sauces). You then wait for your order to get ready and pick it up. During COVID, you will have to wait outside to avoid congestion in the store. And yes, there’s a whole grocery store of Middle Eastern supplies and halal meat.

He came forward and was very helpful*** *They definitely need some cleaning to do. Their services are confusing for the new customers. Parking space is always very busy.* Food update: Ordered the whole BBQ chicken special. It was $28.something after tax. The chicken were delicious. But prepared to have a takeout. Picked up food from here this week. Great value for your money. Food was okay. There were a lot of orders when I was there so they asked me to wait in my car with a buzzer... had a bit of an issue since it didn't go off and by the time I went back in my food was sitting out waiting for me. Terrible customer service. We ordered our food on their website which stated our food would be ready in 25 minutes. Was not ready when we came and had to wait an extra hour while people who ordered in-store got their food first. Their restaurant area was very clean though.

Not sure what all the hype is about with this place. It's absolutely chaotic inside, with extremely cramped aisles, and sort of a free for all attitude as opposed to orderly lines and systems. Despite the cashier instructing everyone to wait for their food outside until their number is called, most people did not (on a very busy weekend evening). Perhaps this is why a dozen people got their food before I did, even though they ordered after me? I was the chump who chose to actually follow the instructions and wait outside, and my food took 20+ minutes to prepare. The outdoor speaker they use to call out order numbers is small and difficult to hear unless you're standing right in front of it. When your number is called and you go back inside, there's no way to identify which food is actually yours — there are just a bunch of anonymous take out bags lined up on tables, countertops, and pass throughs, with no identifying numbers on them (all while the people who should be standing outside are milling about in your way, preventing you from getting to your food). The food itself was nothing special. The chicken shawarma plate was fine, but the chicken was dry, and they're stingy on the sauces. I much prefer Chamsine for this cuisine. They're faster, fresher, more organized, and tastier.

I was driving by and the place looked kind of nice, I walked in and asked for a plate, they told me to go outside and wait till my number is called, I waited for 20 minutes went back inside and asked what happened, he said he made a mistake and gave the food to somebody else, I was not happy but still stayed and took my food, the meat was dry and flavorless, salad and the fries were good, they give a good amount of pickles and and reddish. As I was leaving I want to buy 2 drinks he offered to pay for them and he did. I was grateful.

Ghadir is an absolutely amazing halal BBQ meat joint. Their BBQ is always flavorful, perfectly cooked and delivered to you with a wonderful array of accompaniments. I always tend to grab a pack of their fresh bread to go with the BBQ. Their shawarma on Saj bread is really scrumptious as well. The only item I am not a super fan of are the ground meat kebabs. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately this will be the last time I visit this place. Got a family trey and 1/2 kg of beef shawarma. When I reached home to check it was the worst shawarma I've ever seen, the 1/2 kg was stone cold and completely dried out as if they gave the left over from a few days back. Travelling through Scarborough and was looking for a halal place to eat that had bbq options, stopped at this spot based on the reviews I read online. Honestly, it was just bad all around. The salads, meats, appetizers were all bad! My family of 5 did not enjoy the meal at all. We had a ton of leftovers that went directly in the garbage! It may seem like you’re getting a deal but it’s not. I would pay double what I payed not to feel the way I do right now!

This place used to be really good. Not sure what happened, but I'm sure they'll try to say pandemic! We used to get the exact same thing for last 5 years, so we know how it looks like and comes with. Today we ordered the same thing for the first time after six months (because we moved to a different city) - the Ghadir plate with one chicken sandwich, our order # was 89. We had two orders of the same thing. It seemed they split one order into two boxes!!! It was less than half the fries on each, the chicken sandwich and the pickled bread were dried out, the sandwich seemed it was missing pieces, they didn't include the spicy garlic sauce even though we specifically requested it and they didn't include the extra Shawarma meat on top like they always used to do. Even their vegi/salad were different. Really disappointed and not sure if we'll come back again, specially when there are 30+min wait to get the order.

Ordered the bbq chicken family special. When the food was ready, I requested the guy to give me some spicy garlic and hummus on the side, like I always do. I even double checked with him when he handed me the food and he assured me that he just put in spicy garlic and hummus. Upon going home, I saw there was neither spicy garlic, nor hummus in there. Seems they are trying to save some $ by skimping on sides. Please double check your food on receiving it. I won't be going to this place now due to this bad experience

The markouk wrap is nice and crispy and the chicken was nice. I got spicy, but it was a little too mild. The hummus was good and the baba ghanouj was decent. The people were really nice. I would go back for the sandwich.

Called the store and manager said "come back we will make a right order and give you credit"(have an audio record). I've come here for both the restaurant and the grocery side. The shawarma is made in a very traditional Arabic wraps (larger than the normal pita bread) and is loaded with meat and fries. Pretty good shawarma if you were in the area and wanted to give it a try. I'd give it a 4/5 :) They have a selection of middle Eastern groceries and fresh food . I always make sure I stock up on their labneh (yogurt), toum ( garlic spread), and their frozen kibbeh! The staff is very friendly and helpful if you need anything.

Stopped in today quite by accident. My friend was doing some food delivery and had to make a pick-up at this market/restaurant. I remember back in the 90's they were just a little meat shop on the opposite side of the street. Now, still a meat market, but so much more! Full takeout menu filled with sandwiches, meat/salad plates, etc. My friend and I each had a very full and delicious beef shawarma - wow! Certainly worth a second trip to try a different item!! I tried the Hummas Chicken plate, the portion size is good but the food was served at room temperature which made me have to microwave the food as soon as I got home as it was already cold, despite me living less than 10 minutes away. The taste of the chicken was bland compared to other shawarma places. The place is quite busy and serves a variety of dishes. Perhaps my experience is an outlier but for me Ghadir was below average.

The food here is excellent and on this visit I had the mixed shawarma with everything on, including the spice and the mix of flavours was amazing. Shawarma is not my immediate go-to food but this was a different level - especially with the markouk bread. Parking is a bit tight but worth a detour and the ordering process can be initially confusing because you need to order at the cash in the supermarket section.

Recently went to Ghadir Meat for a shawarma and some fries (not pictures). Ghadir was very busy, and seemingly operates as a restaurant, grocer and butcher simultaneously, but most people seemed to be there for the shawarma. I ordered the chicken combo, and at under $10 found it to be exceptionally priced for the quality. The Lebanese bread was crispy, and the sandwich had a perfect ratio of chicken to fillings. A spicy toum added a delicious kick, and I really enjoyed the sprinkling of parsley in the sandwich. The chicken was also perfectly cooked, with crispy and juicy morsels that had an element of charr. I've always thought Shawarma restaurants need heavy traffic to have very good food, and Ghadir's shawarma is top quality.

Busy and popular place to buy meat or for takeout. The parking was tricky as there are not a lot of spots. The system is organized, you pay and order first, they give you a ticket and then you wao for your food. My mixed meat (beef and chicken) shwarma sandwich was really flavorful and the fries paired nicely.

What a waste of money and time! This was my favourite spot for shawarma a couple of years ago. Apparently, not anymore. The quality of food is terrible. We ordered the 2 shawarma sandwich platter , falafel platter, and falafel sandwich. All were barely edible. The falafel are extremely doughy with way too much garlic that I couldnt even finish one ball. The chicken shawarma is horrible. I really cannot understand what happened to this place as they used to serve the best shawarma. To make things even worse for us there were absolutely no consideration for Covid 19. Never giving this place another chance anymore.

Used to be my favorite shop for halal meat but recent few visits have seen serious deterioration in quality and service. Overpriced meat. They are changing the meat once they take it inside the cooler for cutting. Before cutting it meat was very lean with no fat but once I got home pieces were full of fat. There were dozens of people waiting in line when I arrived which indicated that it might be good. I ordered the chicken shawarma combo and the bbq platter combo. The portion sizes were massive and the taste was great (not awesome but great). The sitting area isn't that big and with big crowds, it can get very cramped. Overall, I'd recommend this for its portion sizes and taste (the BBQ combo had an average taste, by the way).

Generally speaking the overall taste was really good but the portions are less small for what you pay. They charge pretty much the same as Paramount Fine foods even though I was expecting more quantity wise. I ordered the 35$ Chicken Platter which had 6 skewers but the Chicken Sheesh were very small and the platter seemed more like 4 skewers realistically. This is the reason why I am rating them 3 stars as they are pricey for that amount. Update: The owner responded to this review and requested to give them another chance with the service. This time I ordered the Ghadir Platter which is for approx 45$ before tax. The platter quantity was definitely more and as the owner mentioned it was most likely that my order was confused. Anyways happy to find this place and would definitely return for bbq cravings!

I ordered sandwich shawarma after wasn't satisfied with the chicken waited 20 minutes to be ready then gave up got refund and left. Keep in mind the whole chicken took 17 minutes to be ready and one sandwich took 20 minutes and not ready. Conclusion: Never again.

Came for dinner shortly after 8PM on a Saturday evening, and ordered the grilled sea bream with rice, hummus, and baba ganoush. The food took ~45 minutes to arrive - the fish was delicious and very well-seasoned, while the hummus and baba ganoush were a little cold, along with the rice and tahina sauce. The bread wasn't very good - it was store-bought pita, cold and rock-hard. The restaurant was also really loud and disruptive, as a family of ~10 with young kids had come in and were running around the tables, while eating shawarmas bought elsewhere. Seating is cafeteria-style and you'll typically be sitting with other people. Service is friendly but quite slow; and the restaurant could use a cleaning overall. The prices are great for the portions, and the fish is a must-try, but be aware of the service times should you choose to dine-in.

I even viewed the restaurants reviews before I ordered from ubereats. And this is what we got. I cannot emphasize how COLD and DRY the food was. As if it was left out in a dining table for 10hrs uncovered. like literally DRY. Even the pita was cold and feels like a SANDPAPER. I don't know if this place is a joke but this is the worst place we ever ordered from. We were even looking forward to this meal, but unfortunately, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING YOUR FOOD HERE. Very Arab. The grocery selection was great for an Arab place. The meat counter was fresh and well run with a wide array of fresh meats to choose from. I felt like the prices were a bit high but quality was very high as well. The take out food was amazing, well prepared with great toppings and they will give you a very good amount of toppings. Highly recommend the lamb cube sandwich.

I went there several times, I used to love there food. Last Sunday I went there and ordered for a BBQ platter the Fillet Cubes. But when me and my family start eating I found a hair in kabab. It was so disgusting. I felt like I will throughout. It was very much disappointing. I will never go there.

This place is one of the best in Scarborough, combining Mediterranean store and restaurant at the same spot. Restaurant has all of middle eastern foods - shawarmas, charcoal grilled kebabs and whole chicken(their best and signature dish), for sure best in town lahmajeens, zaatar, mohamaras and etc... The only thing I put four stars is their kebabs. They are just normal, not very juicy and nothing spectacular and they have all kinds of them and they take half of their menu. I personally love kebabs and know what a good one should taste like. Otherwise great place!

Tried the beef shawerma. The sandwich is a good size and meat is nice but it unfortunately has garlic. I've never had a beef shawarma with garlic. That's a chicken thing. It totally ruined it.

I came from London to try their food. The lady at the counter understood that I am new to this place and she helped me all the way from purchase to pick up. Very much helpful people and highly recommended. Tasty shawarma and I had the whole bbq chicken. I am coming again.

Based on recommendations from numerous people, I tried out this "restaurant". This isn't your typical restaurant. It's a grocery store, turned kitchen, turned restaurant. There are tables for outside dining but it is all self service. You place your order at the cashier and your number is called over a loudspeaker to collect your food. The food is all packed in takeaway cartons with the expectation you will eat somewhere else. You are free to use the outside tables, just make sure to collect your set of disposable utensils on the way out. When it comes to the food, it tasted great. Everything was fresh and the service was pretty fast. If you don't live in the area, is it worth it to drive there for a try? No. But if you live or frequent the Scarborough area, then this is definitely a place you should consider.

Delicious food, we ordered chicken, beef Sharma and Ghadir Mini plate which have three kinds of Kabab with Rice/fries, hummus, pickles and salad. Foods were really delicious kids also loved it. This was our first visit, but will go soon again. Price is reasonable and we found the restaurant clean.

The food is good, and worth trying if you love whole fish. Service is a bit lacking and inconsistent. We ordered a lot of hummus and baba ganoush (the large order was A LOT), and it was served with a sad little baggie of cold pita. Once we went on to ordering two whole fish, they started bringing fresher pita in a basket - sometimes hot, sometimes warm. Not a place you go to for ambience, but definitely worth coming in for an order of fish.
