Used to be a good store. Since the ownership changed, the customer service has declined. The butcher uses his bare hands when handling the meat which is a violation of food safety standards. They leave expired goods on the shelves. Once we purchased something that had expired SIX months ago! We went back and got a refund. The cashier is not accurate with the receipts. Once we were charged for two of an item which we had only bought one of. The only good thing I have to say is that they do have a good variety of items of items for sale. The items are also quite well organized on the shelves.

I am sorry that i am putting a negative comment here but its because i had a very bad experience with this store, i bought marinated chicken breast from this store. when i got home and i look it carefully. it was not even clean properly all the outer skin was in there. which was looking so ugly. So i had to clean it carefully and when i bake it, it was not even tasted fresh meat. look like the pretty old frozen meat. Please dont buy any marinate meat from this store..Thanks

I I live in prince Albert so I ordered 10 lb of ground beef, 10lb tbone veal steak and 10 lb of veal with bones. So far the ground beef is full of gristle and dry almost inedible. Steaks are super tuff and hard after being barbaqued...this was my first time shopping here and it will be the last

Very bad experience. I have bought Goat Meat from them. When I brought it home I realized there was no bone there in the meat. I bought a goat leg so it should have few bones in it. Other surprise was the meat dish didn't taste good, it appeared the meat was not of Goal but a Lamb. I threw rest of the meat in garbage. I refrain to contact the owner because my call wont change anything and, I didn’t want to drive there and waste my time arguing with the owner. My suggestion to other shoppers is ask twice and double check whatever you are ordering or buying. There are other meat shops around the city. But with everyone you double check before buying.

i love this place. never had a problem buying meat, or spices. I once got moldy yogurt but that can happen anywhere (plus they use superstore yogurt). great prices and everything is easy to find. some times service is a little rude and i feel that it is because i do not speak their language, because i always get better service when i go in with my buddy from Pakistan. but that is only my experience. the smell does not bother me because i know it is coming from all the spices and other stuff inside the store.

Check your receipt before your leave their store. I was overcharged twice for what I got and for what they advertised. Make sure to check expiry date on any product you purchase. Found bunch of expired products on their shelves.

Shopped at Savor and the total bill was $12.98. Gave my credit card for the billing. Came home and checked my account and the transaction at Savor was charged $13. Its a norm to round off if there was cash involved. But definitely not when I pay by card. The cashier can type 12.98 on the machine. Went back to the store to ask for the correct amount to be entered. He argued saying it's a round off. Come on, I run a business too, we do not unethically round off and charge extra. This place cheats customers and makes more money in rounding off unnecessary. absolutely a unfair customer service.

Swadesh supermarket at 8 street is one of the worst place I know in saskatoon. Poor customer services specially employee who are at the meat section. They have no manners that how to deal with customers very rude and they often sell frozen meat which is expired weeks ago. If you ask them for anything or if you request them for some customize meat they always refused very rudely. Sometimes they even give less meat but charge more. Really disappointed with their services.
