Cutting orders not followed. They kept the best cuts for themselves we were short on meat. Also had them cut up a llama I wanted to hide they ruined it I will never go back personally and I will never send my family members there again.

I'm glad some of you had a good experience, because mine was horrible. I drove from I.F. expecting to drop off 90 pounds of meat to be turned into pepperoni, jerky, and salami. When I arrived, they had no samples so I could know what I was buying. They also would not get me an ingredients list so I could tell what was in it. Then to top it off, what I was told over the phone was opposite of what I was told in person. They do use msg and soy which make me extremely sick. So I went elsewhere.

I can't even give this business one star, they totally screwed up our order they kept our tenderloins and it appears they switched our meat. We have a very specialized breed of cow we've been raising and we know what it looks like and tastes. We received grocery store quality meat instead. I will NEVER go back or recommend them to anyone. Totally got screwed!

*I went to Matt's place in Jackson.* Great experience! He processed our entire buffalo in 48 hours (no extra charge for the rush even though there were a lot of other buffalo brought in that day). Steak, roasts and ground buffalo were all clean, vacuum packed and well labeled. Very nice guy who even gutted the thing for us at no extra charge (I had it off the Elk Refuge and to his place in 10 minutes - why gut a buffalo if you don't have to right?).

Been to a few different processors and haven't always been satisfied. Gave Matt's (Jackson location) a shot last year on my deer and elk and everything turned out great. Prepared my cuts exactly how I like them and sausages/sticks are great. Price and timing was very reasonable.

I always get great service from both locations. They do a great job with labeling & packaging of my elk. I love there elk sticks i couldn't get out hunting the last two years so I bought some elk sticks from them and they are delicious I highly recommend them

The place is dirty and I felt staff were rude and short. Didn’t explain much and they act rushed. I think years ago this was the place to go. It’s gone down hill. I will never take my meat to be processed there again.

CAUTION- DO NOT DROP YOUR ANIMAL HERE FOR PROCESSING!!!!!!!!! I dropped my full quartered elk here (2 front quarters, 2 rear quarters, 2 backstraps and 2 tenderloins) and confirmed what was on the wheeled cart. When I picked up my meat a few weeks later I was not given any of my backstraps or tenderloins not to mention it was less than half the hang weight. I went back in and mentioned I should have another tray with the missing cuts, I was quickly cut off and told I didn’t drop those off. After several minutes of back and forth with the staff, they walked away and did not return. I then called and texted the owner Matt, to address the situation. He called me back and told me that I got everything I am getting and proceeded to tell me that I didn’t drop off backstraps or tenderloins. There was no intention of hearing my side of the story as he was adamant that I didn’t drop those items off based on what his staff’s word. I’ve lived in the valley a long time and dropped several animals off here for processing. I had multiple people that witnessed what I was dropping off. It is unbelievable how the situation was handled. After discussing the situation with a small group of people, this didn't seem that uncommon. There were several other situations similar to mine in just the last few years. Not to mention stories of people receiving meat they never dropped off to begin with. Another customer picking up his deer while I was there, addressed the fact that half of his meat said antelope on it. He was told it was just a sticker and that should be his deer meat. I would not use these guys to process your animal regardless of the convenience. There are much better options only a short drive away. They are obviously unprepared for the volume they receive and certainly don’t have any intention to own up to their mistakes.

Just picked my deer up from them today. I was surprised at how much meat I got back it was awesome. There seasoning and flavoring is great as well on there jerky and pepperoni sticks. I know these guys have been swamped with over 700 deer alone this season (not including elk and other game) and they cranked out my deer in under two weeks with awesome quality!

Picked up a pig that was butchered at Matt's in St Anthony yesterday. Are some bacon today. Quite possibly the best bacon I have ever had. They were professional and treated me well. I hope the rest of the meat is as good as the bacon. Thanks Matt's!

This jerky was the worst jerky I have ever had! The teriyaki sticks had no flavor and the jerky was so dry I had to take a break and rehydrate. I would never recommend Mike's custom meats to anyone when it comes to jerky and teriyaki sticks!

This man is a CROOK. Never trust him with your meats!! Believe all of the reviews that say they keep your beautiful cuts for themselves to sell to the public. Trusted them with our home grown beef & got the lowest quality meat back. They are an absolute joke and cannot believe they are still in business!!
