A gem hidden in the back corner of a cell phone shop. Matt was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, and the store as a whole carries a number of the products I regularly use, or are on my wish list. Great selection of rubs and sauces, with more on the way as I type this. It's just a shame they're not closer to my house!

Service from Backyard Grills is exemplary! I live in BC and had been looking for the soapstone grill for my husbands’ Kamado Joe Barbecue. Unfortunately, I was not having any luck in our local stores, and have previously had bad luck ordering these barbecue accessories online. Thankfully, I came across Backyard Grills in St. Albert, AB. One province over from us, but thought I’d give them a call anyway. Not only did they have some in stock (they even took a physical look for me while on telephone to confirm they did indeed have them), but they assured me that it would be sent out promptly. I called on Saturday, December 11th, and it was shipped out Monday, December 13th. It arrived at my door in Sechelt on the Sunshine Coast (not Vancouver Island), BC, Wednesday, December 15th! Needless to say, I was beyond grateful to have received this before Christmas. This has undoubtedly been the best experience I’ve ever had ordering anything online. Their service has a real personal touch to it, and is extremely efficient! I recommend anyone who needs anything barbecue related to check these folks out first! A grateful customer!

It's tucked in behind a telus (you need to walk thru the telus store to get to it) and the signage is non-existent beyond a small sidewalk sign, but it's worth it!, a nice hidden gem with great selection for all the BBQ.

I was very pleased to stumble upon this hidden gem, they carry a wide variety of must haves from the better known company’s in the bbq game. A large selection of made in Canada items. I’ve been travelling to south Edmonton every time I need bbq supplies not anymore. Definitely my new go to, the staff was friendly and helped with personal recommendations. Stop by and check them out next time you’re in need of rubs or sauces you won’t be disappointed.

Came into purchase a ironwood 650. Staff was super friendly, the owner Matt was not in but they called him and he was able to give me some money off different accessories for the grill. We have been using the new traeger for a month now and absolutely love it.

In my opinion, this tiny local shop within a shop is remarkably well stocked with the kinds of products you really need if you know your way around a grill or smoker. The only brands here are top-notch. I also find the staff to be knowledgeable. Prior to purchasing my Kamado Joe from Backyard Grills, I did a lot of research. After doing so I still had questions which the expert staff answered for me. Finally, their willingness to step up with service, as a small local business, is exactly why we all should support these kinds of operations. The Backyard Grills folks were kind enough to deliver my grill for me — to my St. Albert address — free of charge. Nobody else would provide that kind of service. Backyard Grills has earned my support for the long-term. They’re local, knowledgeable, well-stocked with high quality brands, and very, very service oriented.
