Love everything about this place. I will go there without anything in mind and just enjoy the smells. You could spend 30-60 minutes just checking out all they have to offer. If you haven't been there before plan a trip soon.

I pulled into my parking spot and let out a long sigh. Exhausted, I stepped out of my truck and looked to the door. I stumbled my way toward the building, thinking about how tomorrow might be an simpler day. As I approached the door, it magically opened and a thick cool fog rolled out. Dance music pounded in the air. As I stepped inside and my eyes adjusted to the light, I saw a large (Covid-19 reasonable) amount of workers and customers gyrating in time to the music. Neon lights adorned the surroundings and dancers alike. My weariness and exhaustion washed away and a newfound energy flowed through my body. And I danced the next 15 minutes away. Not really, but the staff is friendly and they have a lot of food (not just meat) that everyone can find something. Everything I've tried has been great.

I was very happy when I discovered this place. Their staff is top notch, and every last team member was pleasant and kind. I went to the Millar location last week and a kind lady wrapped each of my pork chops in paper wrap for me, at no extra charge. I was so grateful! Their prices are good, the store is clean, and they have good social distancing practices in place. I went to the Stonebridge location a few weeks ago and they were very helpful and clean also! Even their fb customer service is a delight to deal with! Their produce is fresh and tasty, even frozen meats are delicious! I will forever shop at Prairie Meats!

Food here is always good, and far from average fare. Today's Montreal Smoked Meat over Marble Rye bread with Sauerkraut and Bacon with a White Gravy is way too awesome. Add a side salad or a bowl of soup and you pay less than $13.00. Never disappointed when I come here. This should have been Al Dented Bistro. For some reason my phone reverted to Prairie Meats.

When in looking something for dinner. Salespeople suggested the '2 Can Dine' option. Went with the New York steaks / stuffed potatoes / stuffed mushrooms & two Shrimp skewers. $32.00. Seasoned & oiled the steaks was the only prep. Tossed the steaks on, reheated the stuffed potatoes, baked the mushrooms, tossed the shrimp on the barbie...... Everything turned out incredibly delicious. Fantastic deal in my opinion, will definitely be back to try out other options in the '2 Can Dine' menu. 'Tip of the Hat' to Prairie Meats.

Typically top quality stuff. But, we bought a pack of kabobs that we took to a family gathering. They were like pieces of rubber on a stick. Awful stuff. When I brought it up to them when I was in there last, I got “Sorry, we have no control over what is in the box”.....what? Not impressed.

Very expensive for what you get, their beef jerkey is way too thin, tasteless and tough, and the staff is frankly rude. Went in for my first time this week, and while I was greeted by a friendly older lady, I asked another girl for some pork schnitzel, and she told another guy (the one who had to prepare it) and he rolled his eyes and shook his head. GREAT customer service. I won’t be returning and I will be telling everyone I know to go to Boryskis.

Three strikes for Prairie Meats. They’ve lost my business for good. In the past I’ve had two bad experiences purchasing steaks at Prairie Meats. The quality of the steaks did not match the price, nor what I would expect from a butcher. Today I tried to buy pork back ribs. They only had cryovac package ribs. The racks were sad looking, with “shiners” (exposed bone). This happens when they are cut too close to the bone. Ribs should be meaty all over - these were not. I talked to the meat cutter who basically shrugged and said “that’s how we bring them in.” A meat shop should provide a product that is better than the average grocery store. Prairie Meats has failed repeatedly to achieve this minimum standard.

Prairie Meats was serving unmasked customers on Sept 23rd at 4:00pm. This is against public current public health orders. I asked the customer to put on a mask; the customer ignored me. I also commented to the workers that they should not serve this customer. The staff was polite but did not act. I called the office to notify the managers; left a message, but no managers returned my call. I have been a loyal customer to Prairie Meats for 10 years. But if I have another experience where they serve people that don’t follow health guidelines; I will be taking my business to other butcher shops.

We were buying our summer barbecue meats last summer & noticed at that time they had dog bones, Cooked & raw dog food. I was really impressed, so I started buying their dog bones & then I tried their dog food for our 3 dogs & they loved it. When I first bought the dog food I asked if this was a special item or a regular one & was told it was a regular item they had. So I changed their food to the cooked dog food. And then at the beginning of April they didn’t have any. By the middle of April I was told to put in an order, which I did, I checked on it a week later & was told that dog food wasn’t a priority & it will be the end of May possibly beginning of June before they make dog food. Anyone who has dogs knows you can’t keep changing their food on them, it’s not good for their digestion. I’m really disappointed that this is obviously not a regularly stocked item & placing the order for it didn’t make any difference. I’m sure I’m not the only customer who is disappointed, it was obviously popular.
