You will be able to see the feddbacks of real people who used the services and products of The New Grand Market (Butcher Shop) near Quebec (Canada).
At present this business receives a rating of 4.3 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it reaches an feddbacks average is quite good, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we may say that the score is very credible. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to set opinions when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Butcher Shop corresponds to the category of Produce market.
An indoor market specializing in produce, meats, cheeses and other shopping experiences. There are bakeries, craft brewery, lunch offering all under one roof. You can easily spend a couple hours strolling through the different market areas. It's all open air style and very easy to move about.
Reminded me with St. Lawrence market in Toronto but less busy. Expensive, local, didn't get good vibe. Went there to buy 1608 cheese... what a find at Charlevoix. Eat it at room temperature.
Beau marché avec des produits du coin! Beautiful market with products fr the area! There is a safe and large playground for kids.
Awesome market filled with a huge variety of vendors. Definitely worth the visit.
Really modern market!- great place yup pick up some supplies for your home, mostly local products
Great place to access Quebec made products. Easy parking. Delicious Lebanese restaurant on 2nd floor. Coffee shop at back is relaxing. You can find seafood, microbrews, pastries, meat..some fresh produce. I have only visited on weekdays.
Lovely market featuring local producers and artisans. The space is also beautiful.
I was used to going to the old market and loved the place, the feeling of it and the abundance of local farm fresh vegetables. The new place seems kind of artificial, feels more like a shopping mall than a market. The shops there are still awsome though. Great variety of products! Worth a visiting to fill up on sausage, bread, veggies, cheese, and pasta. It won't feel like family the way the old one did.
Beautiful creative crafts
Nice new market with a nice mix of places to eat and places to buy fresh produce. I should add that if you were planning to go to Ile d'Orleans to buy things, you can simply buy the products from the market instead because all of the major vendors are actually here selling their produce.
Good and beautiful
Beautiful place, wide variety of produce. Almost everything is produced locally. Products are sometimes more expensive than you'd expect in a market.
Great Nice fresh fruits vege and best crossion from Boite a pain bakery
Beautiful and friendly people selling great food !
Really nice and clean place. They have lots of free parking outside. A great place to buy gift to bring back home.
Not the same as the old market but still a nice selection. Like a mall but for local products
Beautiful new market with more to come in the future in fruits and vegetables and great service.
Epic market with great produce
Awesome new market in Quebec city, well stocked with almost every shop you may need for your daily food requirements: several stands with fresh local vegetables, butcher, bakery, fishmonger, pastries, cheese and dairy store, liquor store, and a small grocery store with bulk seeds and spices as well as whatever the other stores don't carry. Light and airy, it is such a pleasure to shop there.
The best place to find great quality Quebec products for good price. There is a maple product store there that sell way more afordable products than in old quebec. Better to buy from the original seller and support locals ♥
Bright and light. And fantastic stands
Fantastic farmers market. People are beautiful the food even better. The produce Fantastic. Support local always.
I can't express enough how much I love to come here, every time I visit my family. This beautiful place offers great experience of shopping ????. Located near the highway, many parking spaces, specious and most importantly, localy made products are sold here. From ice ciders, chocolate, maple syrup, fresh fruit and vegetables, cheese and so much more, you feel like you are in France. Please come by and experience the test of Quebec, when you are passing through or visiting.
Nice market with a lot good products. But a little expensive...
Best experience of Shopping for food in Quebec City. The staff from all the shops are so genuine and nice ... A must if you are a bit Épicurien !
A beautiful bright building with lots of local vendors. Fresh produce, apples, a great boulangerie and a coffee shop. Plus a really nice park outside with a fun playground for kids.
Nice farmer’s market, modern, clean and the parking is free for 2 hours.
Beautiful and foodies paradise
Huge variety, fun place!
Great place to get freshly made products!
Lots of specialty boutiques but not a lot of veggies and fruit stands.
Not that much variety Its better to name it "The New Market"
Nice place to shop local products from Quebec City
Pretty place but lacking in variety. Other markets have unique sellers making it a fun experience with a connection to the sellers. This market is more like a mall. Also it's in the worst location, requiring a bus from old Quebec.
Great place to get fresh vegetables and fruits and other products. We enjoyed the thin crust pizza. Planning to come back again. Recommend!
Good place for fresh farm vege They have a super fresh and nice pasta shop named Pasta Si! . My favorite is their Rose sauce with ail fine herb linguine
Great selection of produce. From fruits and vegetables to meat and cookies. The place itself is very spacious and clean, vendors are friendly and helpful. There are also some places where you can sit and enjoy local food.
We stopped by to check it out last weekend. Had a great time. Stopped into the micro brewery for a drink on the patio and enjoyed the sun and some live music. Inside was alive with almost all the shops/stands open. All the produce looked amazing, and a lot are from Orleans island.... so very local and fresh from the fields. We love the fact that the parking is free so we can spend our money indoors and support the local vendors. Definitely worth going each week!
If I lived in the city I would shop here all the time. Didn't end up buying a lot but there are lots of unique items and fantastic amount of fresh fruit and veggies
Does not exist a fish market. The design is beautiful..
The products are nice but the place isn't well situated and the place lacks some cachet! It just feels like being in a fancy cosctco
this is a great stop when coming to quebec. came here to get some fresh local strawberries, choucroute and great local pies
Very modern and lacking the old charm. Worth going to die a couple hours. They have lots of food and then a crafty section upstairs. Go in the morning so it's not busy. It was a $12 cab ride from Old City. There were no taxis on the way back so I used Uber to return to my hotel after. It's a 45 minute walk from Old City, along the river.
We found the same merchants as we had at the previous place. And there are some new merchants as well. the big positive, is that there's more space to get around that the previous place. The restaurant on the second floor was excellent. Next time we go, we also want to try the trendy Sno pub. Another benefit, is the small branch of the SAQ the wine and spirits store of the province of Quebec. however, living in the old city, this location is not convenient, as we have to take her car to get to it. We much preferred when the market was located in the old Port, within walking distance to hotels and touristic core.
Great Place!!
Beautiful family stop, I think I could spend a day. The outside arrangements are really well thought of! Winter swings, fire pits, ice rink. The play ground is not accessible at he moment, but it might only be temporary. So, even if we can’t eat in for the moment they have beautiful fire pit with Adirondack chairs waiting for you! Worth stopping and investing in local businesses!
Big space, nice service, pricey
Beautiful architecture inside, mostly food stalls with barely any vegan options so definitely felt out of place. Free shuttle from Old Québec was very convenient and made for a nice mini "tour" of part of the city at least.
A must see in Quebec City. So much fun to see local farm produce, as well as some very interesting displays on sustainable farming. My son loved the family section, which was a perfect way for the whole family to take a breather.
Thought it was huge and amazing, yeah not at all. It's very small but maybe that's because in covid there are no stands outside and only inside shops were open.
A modern and fresh looking market with a decent amount of variety in products.
Very nice place, with amazing strawberries that is a must try.
Fabulous shops and variety. Spotlessly clean. Wonderful.
Great place for Quebec products
Beautifully decorated....presented....And their sausages in a bun with sauerkraut...and a Belle Gueule beer....incredible flavours and tastes in your mouth....
We liked that place very much! There is a lot of farmers and local producers with their original products for fair prices! They are very friendly and happy to explain what they got and why is it unique. They sell everything from hand made clothes, bio products, vegggies and fruits, maple syrup products, to cheese, meat, fish and all that. You can get a lunch in there at few stands, prices are fair and everything is very tasty. We tried some and had no regretti. Bought some souveniers there as well, way better than in casual souvenier shops and definitely more local and quality. It is situated probably at parking lot where new building was built on it. Interior is modern and industrial looking, it kinda misses the vibe of farmers market. Its accesible by bus or very long walk from the city, or of course by a car. Not our case though.
You can find an extense variety of products in this market, everything is very local and almost everything is organic, I recommend it.
The layout is easy to navigate and the place is squeaky clean. There's a good variety of products at great prices. You cannot beat fresh Quebec produce.
Great place of discovery. People there are great and nice to talk with. Lot of dead space though.
Could be so much more, but it seems that the majority of people in Quebec City all want the same thing. The farmer's market is still pretty much a joke. You have a whole side of the place dedicated to farmer's market produce. The unfortunate part is that it's just the same fruits and veg offered over and over and over. There a few artisinal shops scattered about with various offerings of jams, alcohols, sausage etc. There is really nothing here that can't be found elsewhere easily. I find the Ste-Foy market has a bit more variety and is a lot easier to get to and park. In the end, this place is no Jean-Talon market (Montreal).
I miss the location and folksiness of the old market at the train station. This modern building is nicely designed, nicely lit and pretty, but it lacks some character. There seem to be fewer merchants. The former market was more intimate, and the narrow aisles made it feel like more bustle. The new place, in a large parking lot near a stadium requires a bus trip or driving (yuck). Probably more convenient for the vendors, but less so for those visiting from the city center. There were fewer places to get food for eating there, too. I hope it gets busier in the future.
A very pleasant surprise to see a beautiful market with mainly local products. A must when visiting Quebec City
Beautiful place to get Christmas gift
Beautiful space and great produce from Québec! I'm a fan of the apple products from the Bilodeau orchard. Le Pied Bleu cured meats and black pudding are also delicious...
Great market for products from maple syrup products, meats, breads, flowers in the summer, cider products, bubble wines, apple & maple butter, every kinda of cretons you can imagine (pork, chicken, turkey, and many more). Different coffee beans from around the world, pastries & cheese of all kinds. It is well worth a visit gauranteed.
Best Fresh market in town A new place where the atmosphere need some improvement but give it a try for fresh product
Beautiful place. Delicious food
A wonderful place to discover Quebec's local farmers in their big indoor market. Everything is brand new and there is also year round boutique in the New Grand Market.
It's pretty good. Nice place to get fresh and local foods.
Local produce and a lot of new discoveries, really like going to this market.
The market was very nice. I have to recommend it. There are a couple of nice spots to relax with a cup of coffee and a real abundance of shopping. There's also a pretty terrific Lebanese restaurant in the upstairs portion that I highly recommend.
Great place to buy local products! The layout is a little disorganized and you will find yourself seeing the same stations several times.
Spent the day in Quebec City and stumbled upon this. I was pleasantly surprised! Lots of variety from coffee shops to micro-breweries and bakeries. The building itself looks really nice and it was very clean even though it was busy at the time I went. All the different smells coming from the shops made me hungry and it made me wish that we had something similar in Montreal! I would be there every day if I lived closer!
Great fresh produce, patisseries, charcuteries. Beware of the deceptive produce boxes, raspberries and blueberries come in small containers even though it seems like they are in large containers, not worth the 22$ but that’s on me.
Local products, great service, nice people, love going to this place to prep for dinner
Great place for all things local. They have local meats, cheeses, beer, coder, foie gras and chocolate. We got some great local beer and cheese. We even got some boudin noir. The space is new very well organised and sparkling clean.
Fresh beautiful produce! Pricey compared to Montreal but totally understandable and worth it cause the quality is miles ahead of what I buy here!
You need to stop here for at least an hour when visiting QC......and go hungry when you go! So many local farmers, bakeries, vintners, and food artisans. A great taste of Quebec, and a must for first time visitors.
Great farmers market as well as local products.
Great Place To Take a Tour Bus Group of any age
Great place to shop and eat. There are so many vendors to visit. It’s a bright open space offering fresh fruits and vegetables, wine, cheese, delicious pates, sausages, pasta, seafood and more. There are places to sit and enjoy your food or just to people watch. There are even water stations to clean your hands after food handling or post dining. We picked up some delicious mussels, jarred in brine) from Délices de la Mer, canard a l’orange from So-cho, and excellent bread from La Boite a Pain. Enjoyed everything!!! Had a donut from beignes d’antan. It’s a different type of donut. Chewy and doughy, but still good. So many things to look, buy and enjoy. A great place to shop and spend time with friends and family.
So many great food spots - bought delicious blueberry jelly and honey
Unsure if it was worth the taxi there and back, BUT the fresh pasta stand is a MUST.
Local produce, local producers and people who care about the food and method of production. Bus 3 takes you from the Theatre just outside the old City to the inside hall location. Plenty to taste and see. Eat in the restaurants there or buy cheese, meats stunning bread and wine and sit at one of the trestle tables. English spoken French preferred. A gastronomic delight and adventure. Try something new, it's well worth it.
Nice place ever in Quebec
This place is awesome!!! There are many different types of items (food, plants, artisan work, etc). Many of the items are very unique and gourmet which you won't find in most supermarkets. The price is usually not super cheap, but you're paying for quality! I definitely recommend visiting this market!
Light. Airy. Fun flavors and variety all in one place
Amazing place, looks and feels brand new. Variety of vendors , convenient parking.
Exceptional place full of great good
A real fun place to get a quick crash course on all things Quebecois food. Season options and Greta choices. Bonus- amazing playground outside where we took the food we ate.
Very nice surprise to find this gem. Great selection of local fare.
Loved every part of it. Clean, priced well, many options available (food products). Brilliant place to get ingredients or get breakfast.
Nice new market with plenty of seating outside. Would be great if there were more food options to eat there. Some really great vendors showcasing lots of Quebec's best!
Fresh Pasta....fresh vegetables.... Seafood.....Sausages....Bakery.... Sweets.....
Lots of gift opportunities. Local traditional food stalls and small food franchise stalls
A wonderful combination of farmer market and artisan food products.
Lovely market with fresh food, coffee, produce and great ambiance. The green slide park outside is great for kids.
Plus - very clean, spacious, tons of free parking, easy to get to, great amount of inventory and vendors Minus- because it looks like a hospital. Lost its personality and charm, looks to corporate... If you looking for the local produce and items this is the place to be... If you after experience looks somewhere else
What an amazing place! There are so many interesting/delicious products to discover and try there that any amateur of food/alcohol will be in heaven. Also, the vendors are incredibly kind and knowledgeable, and it's a pleasure to talk them.
Local food and artisans mix with local famers in a grand hall open air style. Fun for shopping and eating. Free WiFi and services
This public market is quite new, very bright and Airy. It contains some gorgeous produce including probably the biggest and most delicious raspberries I've ever eaten. There is an impressive selection of good quality regional specialty items along with some interesting places to eat. The grounds and parkland around it are very inviting.
This market is modern bright and clean, with local artisinal food and beverage bendors, as well as local artisan jewellers. Alao, cooking classes for.all ahes are offered in a modern and well equipped training kitchen. A very pleasant visiting experience.
Lovely market. Sunday in winter is not the best day to go but still very nice.
Has a great selection
High end market with quality items. Very clean and friendly service
Ok market. Quite empty on Monday. Excellent beer store though.
Many great local products and friendly vendors. Would benefit from a few more restaurant stalls/pret a manger options, but their absence may be due to covid.
Not really a farmer's market. That being said there is some great products available here
I loved it here! Everything was so eye catching and appealing, unfortunately I’m not a local, although I wish I were so I could shop here weekly and take advantage of all the great local food choices
Nice selection of food,
