I love this place because they offer Basterma which I dont think anyone else offers in the city. The butcherie is very clean and well maintained. I visit here once every 2 weeks to stock up on meats for my family, all their chickens are halal grain fed, so you can taste a huge difference compared to other chicken in the city.

I come from Orleans to shop at this Meat Shop and I'm never disappointed. They make the best kafta in the city, and have one the cleanest butcheries in Ottawa. I absolutely love going to this place. Very friendly staff and its got the best kafta I've had anywhere in ottawa. I go here every week to get my meat and bread. I would highly recommend this place to anybody who buys meat. It's also got a great selection on cheeses and spices. You will have no disappointments if you go here to eat. Try the kafta sandwich and also get some to cook at home. You will get hooked.

I don't know what the first 2 morons who left reviews meant but this place is truly a blessing to ottawa and to people who are determined to eat clean, healthy, fresh and most importantly halal meat. I never leave reviews but had to do it this time. We tried the beef and chicken kebabs and kafta from this place for the first time today. Purchased them marinated and grilled at home. These were THE BEST skewers we ever had in Ottawa. And we tried lots of them in this town. Going back for more and recommending to all my friends. Thanks, guys!

Robbie is my guy when it comes to getting the best quality meat. Everything is fresh and delicious. I recommend the kafta and especially the marinated shawarma chicken, by far the most delicious chicken I've ever eaten... Melts in your mouth, just toss some in a pan and fry it up in its own marinade.

I BBQ often in parks and have tried to get meat from various shops. This one definitely stood out. The employee asked me for the preferred cut and recommended the Armenian soujok to try. The meat was fresh and delicious. I recommend this meat shop.

Very clean and organized meat and grocery store. All products, meat included is fresh, well packaged and kept at the correct temperature in storage. The spices, teas, rice, lentils, etc are all fresh and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly and will happily answer any questions you may have. The meat chicken is very fresh here and the owner takes very good care of his meat area. Its very clean and the meat quality is always fresh. The bbq side i feel like they should start it up they use to have great falafel and some of the best poutine in ottawa im sad they are not on top of that too much anymore.

It seems they have good meat but worst experience ever. Ordered lamb meat (thigh) to be prepared and cut into meat cubes for cooking (as every butcher does it). Instead recieved it cut with bones and fat still attached. Zero work done on the leg and only cut using only machine in like a minute. Told the butcher thats not what we ordered and its still with bone, he didnt care and turned his back to us and started doing other work (and there are no customers except us). We just waited and no response. He didnt want to correct this at all. Had to do the work on the lamb myself at home to properly prepare it. Weird and unfriendly experience not to mention creepy. We just paid anyways at the cashier and left (which i regret already). Most expensive lamb meat we bought so far in a very unwelcoming place. No good reason to ever come back.
