Customer service has declined. I grew up on a farm in Huron County and my family has had meat processed there for years. As my family grew I continued to buy half a beef at a time. Now that I'm on my own I have driven from outside the county to frequent your store (instead of paying less in the city)as I have been treated well and extra care has been taken to wrap my meat in single portions Today I was told it could not be done anymore. I'm so disappointed and now when I hear the small communities are losing business I won't be so quick to defend them and I will be sure to convey to my families that farm in Huron County the treatment I received

Little gem tucked away with an AMAZING variety of meats, aged, smoked and everything in between. Small selection of local cheese is also available. Staff friendly, place is immaculate. Worth the drive for sure.

Real European quality goods and meats, and other central European products (sauerkraut, mustards). Service is good, and just the smell of the place is incredible! Call ahead for special requests, and they will be happy to oblige.

I discovered Metzger's from Pine River Cheese where they sell some of their products. The bacon burgers are unbelievable. I smoke them for an hour, then reverse sear to finish them off. Best burgers I've ever had, and I'm proud to cook them. I'd love to drive down and visit the store to discover more of their products . Thanks Metzger's!

Excellent smoked meat products!!!!!! I love how the bacon and back bacon doesn't release a ton of water when you cook it (due to "seasoning"). So, when you cook a pound of bacon you get a pound of bacon. (& surprisingly very little fat, too!) I love the smell of the house & neighborhood when we cook it! Worth every penny!!!!!????

Been buying Metzger's smoked chops, ham and bacon in the grocery store for years. Truly the best and the price is reasonable for the quality. Never been to the store until today. Wow, so much more, lunch meat, salami, fresh meat, stuffed roasts. It's worth the drive. Will be doing it regularly.

These people were super rude. Walked in, just got a glance then they ignored us. Had to ask to be helped. Place was oddly super steamy, fogging up my glasses, commented on it, just got the cold shoulder for a response. But the worst part was I was taking pictures on my phone to ask my mom if she wanted anything else next time I came, and they told me to stop taking pictures! Not of the people or the staff, of the meat in the freezer. They wouldn't even let me snap a cell phone pic of the freezer with the selection and prices to text to my mom. They must be afraid that I'm getting a picture of some kind of food safety violation, and they must be breaking some kind of rules to be that afraid of pictures of the meat. Don't think I'll be coming back.

Have been driving through Hensall for years but never thought to stop at Metzger's. My local Foodland started carrying Metzger's Meat so tried out some ham and was amazed at the taste. This week, stopped at the Hensall store and was blown away by the quality and variety of meat available. Picked up some bacon-wrapped seasoned pork medallions, cooked them on the bbq and they were incredible. Also bought some top sirloin steaks, pork tenderloin, several flavors of pepperettes and some Jerry Rader beans (also delicious). Very, very impressed with the quality and taste of Metzger's meat products. Definitely top quality product here! Oh, and kudos to Metzger's for having touchless hand sanitizer dispensers at the door .. first business I have come across doing this.

We normally only get our bacon from the butcher. Picked this up from foodland in st thomas and I can't believe I didn't try it sooner. It's amazing quality for great price. So good. World apart from the other bacon available at foodland. I'd imagine that's why they put it on opposite side of the store as the other bacon or they wouldn't sell the other stuff. Lol

I buy Metzger's meats at Safeway in Owen Sound. The quality of their product is excellent. The prices are reasonable. I really enjoy the pea meal bacon, pepperoni, bacon and pork chops. I recommend these products to anyone who wants quality products from local business.
