These are genuine honest people who know what they do but also care about what they do! We have had three cows sent here and they did a great job butchering and prepping them. Melvin’s easy to deal with and always treats you well. Some of the best smoked pork chops were by these folks also. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants quality good old fashioned local meats.

We will not have a Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter or any other special event unless we source our meat from J-Mar. We have never been disappointed, prime quality meat giving a mouthwatering effect. Our city friends will drive 2 hours to visit me with the promise of a j-mar meal. The staff is super friendly and will take time to advise you and help you with any question you have. I even find huge smoked bones for my 150 lbs dog, a bone will last for a long time as it tastes yummy even after 2 weeks. People might think that j-mar prices are higher than No-frills, Oceans, Costco or Walmart, but, there is no comparison between the big box factory meats and a farm raised animal. Also, if you buy a pound of meat, you'll get a pound in your plate, you will not end up with scraps, fat, sinews and other not edible leftovers.

I bought four of their cream schnitzels. One for me, the wife and two kids. I fried them up, topped them with a nice tomato sauce, mozzarella, parmesan on a toasted garlic bun. I ate mine and one of the kids AND didn't even feel guilty. Right now I am smoking some of their foot long hot dogs ( I am not telling them) Side note: a certain establishment has been selling their hamburgers, and have been voted the best of the best hamburger 2 or 3 years running!
