This place used to be decent. Not anymore. Since the new owners have taken over, the decline has been really noticeable. On March 4th 2020, even though I was in Loblaws across the street, I made a point of not buying meat there so I could try and support small, local business. I went in to Blue Ridge looking for back ribs. "I'm sorry, we don't have any", was the answer I received. Like what kind of butcher doesn't have back ribs ?? So on Friday March 13th, I figured I'd give them a second chance. AGAIN, I didn't purchase my meat when I was in Loblaws, I went over to Blue Ridge instead to give them a chance to redeem themselves. This time all wanted was some pork tenderloin. Their response "oh we don't have any, we SHOULD be getting some later today". Well, that was it for me. I tried my best to support these guys, and they don't seem to care enough to have in stock what their customers want. Next time I hear a small independent business whining about how they can't survive, I will always think of Blue Ridge meats. I can't see them surviving much longer in their current state. I for one, highly doubt I'll even bother to return. I've given them 2 chances, and they disappointed on both occasions. From now on, I'll just get my meat when I'm Loblaws. If Blue Ridge can't make the effort to properly stock their products, then I won't make the effort to try and support them.

Nice meat shop. Good selection of meat. Favourite ham in town I find here. The sausages are definitely not my style and not made properly in my opinion, haven’t had luck when buying them here. Other then that decent little local meat stand.

This company is a shyster. Buyer beware. I was in there the other day and the were selling dry age meat that was not dry age, it was dry age price. Dry age looks of blackened meat on the outside and yellowed fat. The meat they were selling was ruby red and white fat. My wife went in and bought andouille sausage for my recipe. I unwrapped them.. got regular pork sausage. She also asked for butterfly loin chops, and got the most uneatable fatty meat I have ever seen. Looked like pork butt. If you know your meat you would agree. Absolute rip off

Stopped in when I was on vacation in the area , Delicious array of quality meats. Definitely has the look of an old style butcher shop. I know I used to work in a couple. Wanted to buy some product but had no where to store it. Friendly staff. Watch out for the big cow outside.

Wonderful staff, chatty, funny and knowledgeable! Tremendous meat! We bought two ribeyes and their in house bacon cheeseburger sausages. While their product is pricey, their product is worth every penny of the cost!

We have been shopping at Blue Ridge Meats for years and the quality of the meats and the service has always been excellent! (The chicken is superb!). They are going above and beyond to provide excellent service during the pandemic. Especially with new Covid variants appearing, I don't feel comfortable with in-person shopping, even though masks are required. At Blue Ridge Meats it's easy to place my order online. The staff contact me for clarifications or suggestions should they be needed. I placed a fairly large order just last week and per my request it was packaged in meal sizes, ready for the freezer. I paid by credit card, chose a pickup time, and my order was in the cooler curbside, ready to go! It couldn't have been easier. I truly appreciate their efforts to keep us all safe!

This place is starting to slide. Had some great steaks in the past, but the quality and service has been totally down the tubes for the past month. Hopefully they wake up. The younger guy has a major attitude problem. It’s like your interrupting his busy day.

I started shopping at this butcher store recently when I learned they now source their products directly from local farmers and sell organic grass fed beef & pasture raised pork that they butcher themselves. Everything I have purchased has been so delicious! It's great to have a store like this in our area. I love their chicken too, but it sells out very quickly.

Purchased steak & sausage here on Thurday September 16th 2021 with my friends for a bbq. The steak purchased was ribeye. Very tasty. The sausage on other hand was contaminated and we all got sick from it.
