Hotdogs burgers and sausages without filler, is amazing. I have spent far more money at this store that I would like to think about and I couldn't be happier. The biltong is delicious as well. I have been going here since I discovered this place a few years back. The cuts are great and the price is reasonable. Their Chi-Chi-Chipotle (did i get that right) burgers are fantastic either BBQ or in the oven. I also get my precious duck fat from them. They have a big selection of BBQ sauces, oils and South African treats! And the biltong is to die for, I prefer the softer stuff they have hanging as opposed to the dried. Amazing place.

My family were frequent shoppers at Florence meats until a couple months ago. I had previously left a 5 star review regarding quality and service. Unfortunately we encountered an issue with one of their products and the response we received was incredibly unpleasant. The co-owner made sure to repeatedly tell us he knew there was nothing wrong with our item without even inspecting it when we arrived at the store to ask for an exchange. We repeatedly requested he open the package to at least take a look at what we were complaining about; we just wanted him to give us the benefit of the doubt as we had never experienced any issues with their meats in the past. We might not be professional butchers, but it’s pretty easy to tell when a cut of meat has turned rancid - especially if it stinks up your entire apartment. After leaving the store feeling incredibly upset, we respectfully expressed our concerns via email, to which we received no response. The entire experience was so unfortunate; telling your customers they don’t know what they’re talking about without even inspecting the item in question is just a complete lack of customer service. Florence Meats has lost an entire dedicated family of customers. Edit: it’s unfortunate the business will respond to my public post, but refuse to email or call me back to speak personally. We have not had “several conversations” which is the reason I posted this review. Carol replied with a generic, template-response to my initial email; I responded to her in hopes of resolving the situation entirely, to which they have never followed up. If they truly cared about customer experience, they would (at the very least) be responsive to customer complaints - which they have not been on this issue.

All were amazing meat products ! Burgers are to die for , especially if you know how to barbecue them ! Didn't know about Boerwors until I discovered them. Glad I did .Great customer service, friendly and willing to go the extra mile .No tricks, no games, no gimmicks , just good consistent, top quality service and products. I have tried other higher end butcher shops in Oakville and none other compare.They offer excellent service and product at a fair price.I would highly recommend .

Went there today for the first time, will never go back. With the current environment I can understand the added precautions they are taking, but when they require you to wear a mask and over charge for one if you don't have one, then the people behind the counter servicing the meat have theirs pulled down not covering their face, they are obviously not taking it seriously so why bother. On top of all this they over charge for what you get . Nothing here is worth it at all I will support another in the future

Great butcher shop with a small grocery section of speciality items related to meats. The one product that is really outstanding is the Biltong dried beef. It’s simply fabulous and tasty. The meat is air died and they slice it fresh in front of you in small thin slices. Not beef jerky but some what similar with better quality meat and outstanding spices.

Have only bought biltong from here. Top quality meats Edited On Jan 11, 2020 - I removed 3 stars due to being mistreated by the young female cashier. You could tell she was not having a good day or just doesn't enjoy working at Florence Meats. I say this because every other employee has a smile on their face, but not this young female. She literally "tossed" my receipt after paying for my biltong and didn't bother to close the open brown paper bags as all the other employees have done in the past. She certainly lacks customer experience. But unfortunately she is one of the faces of Florence Meats and has left a very sour taste in my mouth.

Great selection for such a small store. Lots of premarinaded meat that is all excellent, huge options of spices and rubs. I didn't know what biltong is until I randomly checked this place out driving by. This stuff is cheaper then beef jerky and tastes way WAY better, wish I could get it at every gas station instead of the jack links. Price for meat is a on the upper side, but you definitely get what you pay for. Wish it was open on Sunday

I would like to first start with my experience waiting outside in line because of the 4 customers in store limit. I was accompanied by 10+ patrons all scorching hot , the folks at florence meats recognized this and brought everyone standing outside in line FIJI water to hydrate and comfort us. By the time I got inside, I bought 2 porterhouse steaks and 2 rib eye steaks for fathers day from a recommendation by the staff. To be honest, they were the best steaks I have ever had, comparable to all the great streak houses in toronto. This was my first time visiting Florence and I will be a customer for life. Thank you Florence meats! Fathers day was a big hit because of your steaks!

I have had some products through friends that were very good, so I went this afternoon to purchase some sausages. I bought one pack of the jerk pork sausages and I would highly discourage anyone else to purchase these. There is no jerk seasoning in them, all they are are spicy pork sausages. Very disappointed in their product, they should be able to do a lot better.

We really love this butcher shop. The price range is a bit higher than some of the chain grocery stores, but the quality is on par with organic meat. They clearly have put alot of work into their locally sourced providers. And if great meat selection was not enough... Biltong. If you haven't tried it, try it!
