I've never been treated poorly at an M&M store (a place I fell in love with when my in laws owned two stores in Red Deer) but this location changed that history. Rudeness and arrogant air towards a customer aside, the two folks behind the counter sniggered and laughed at me after referring to meatballs in marinara as meatballs in tomatoe sauce, which is what we've adopted given it's what the children call it. There's another location on the other end of St. Albert close to my Superstore. I'll try that before boycotting them for the worst customer service.

They have a really good assortment of frozen foods here. Everything from main courses to side dishes to appetizers to desserts. Most of what I've tried has been pretty good as well. The staff in this location is always very friendly and helpful as well. They are often sampling one or two things as well which is always good.

Love the staff at the Stratford store! So patient over all the years I had to review labels to deal with my son's food allergies. Lots of great sales and all natural products! Parking and access are always available, handicap accessible, with wide aisles. Great products for busy people, inexperienced cooks, at very competitive pricing! Consistent quality and often superior products, like the less than perfect sized Keg steaks, etc.

Not everything is priced [easy to find] at the display. The layout doesn't seem to make sense. If your looking for meat, it certainly won't be fresh; only frozen available. Meat is in a few places scattered in what I recall 1 of 4 freezers. If you want a price, but can't find it look in the other place which you item may also be. I don't know when M&M went from being a meat shop to a upscale frozen TV dinner store but it left me kind of dissatisfied.

After waiting in line for 10 minutes yesterday, they finally took the order. Sold out of Bacon Wrapped Scallops, Oriental Party Pack, Coconut Shrimp etc. You'd think at Christmas Time (busiest time of year) they'd be stocked up, apparently not. Returned today and they still have no popular items and no ETA on when they'll be in. They were busy calling people who did online orders to inform them that "certain items " aren't available. It has definitely increased Costcos shrimp & party platter sales today.

The customer service alone makes this location not worth frequenting. Rude lady who runs it during the day, failed to honour a sale after she told me it would be on when I got there. 24 hours late, I get there and she says "It expired". Didn't welcome us didn't ask if we needed help with anything for several minutes and as we were looking through the books on the counter of burgers wings and desserts just took them away and threw them under the counter. Unimpressed. I haven't been to the store since it changed hands, and going in today, I didn't find the staff helpful or attentive. Looking for haddock, I asked what they had. She 'pointed'. I noticed three different styles of haddock - I asked for the difference in the three. Her simple answer "they're all battered' . Duh - I get it - but what was the difference? Instead of being informative about your product, she put all three packages on the counter and waited until I read the labels. Wow - What a difference in service. - less service, higher price, fancy packaging. Anyhow, my suggestion? Eliminate the counter and make the whole store self-serve. You don't need a counter person to do what I could have done myself.

We just had the Buffalo wings. They are extremely salty. I had to peel off the skin to reduce some of the salt but my mouth burned from the salt overdose. 1 wing is 10%+ of your daily salt. 10 wings is 100% + of your daily reommended salt allowance.

They offer an online shopping option where you can order ahead and pick up in store, making it convenient for grabbing something on the way home from work. They have moved to this new location to have more room for self service. During my first visit to the new location I found the shop to be bright and inviting. They were demonstrating a new cooker that would work well with much of the food they sell. I picked up some "Indian" horses d'oeuvres to use later at a friends place. I have been a customer with M & M's for over 25 years and I like their changes and new location.

I am sad to be in agreement with some of the more recent reviews here. I've been a long time fan of M&Ms, since bacon wrapped chicken medallions were a staple at our BBQs growing up. Throughout university, their chicken strips and strawberry shortcake popsicles made up a majority of my diet. When we went on our honeymoon (a cottage on an island) we lived off of chicken grills and the individual beef wellingtons. Since M&Ms changed all their product lines completely, removing all "artificial flavours and colours", quality has gone down hill while prices have skyrocketed. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for real food and good ingredients, but not if it means the quality is actually worse. They stopped selling the popsicles, the chicken strips have so much gristle in them, and beef wellingtons have nearly doubled in price over 5 years, gotten smaller, and the quality of the beef is nowhere near the same. The last few times we have been here, they haven't had items shown in the flyer (for 6 weeks in a row!), and many of the staff don't really know much about the product lines. I really am saddened, but we've simply stopped shopping here.

Confrontational staff with a feeble minded attitude. Wouldn't shop there again as everything starts from the top down, if the staff is feeble minded than the manager must be as well.

Friendly staff and almost always in stock. Prices are a little higher than groceries stores. If you do shop here, make sure you become you a reward member as any price that you see on sale or discounted, will only apply to members and not the general public. This can be very deceiving on their website and flyers if you don't read the fine print.

Great for those shift workers too tired to cook abut want to stay on a budget, fill your freezer with meals for a week at about $50 ~ $80 depending on what you want. Highly recommend them to anyone who wants good food at a reasonable price.

Great and convenient location fully stocked with all your favorites and new things to try! I love that there's no preservatives, additives or artificial colors added. Last week I picked up Chicken Strips...another failure since they say they changed companies...lots of fat and sinew, the same as with the Chicken Breast Grills and the Breaded Chicken Breasts. They are just white meat "blended" together to "look like" strips and breasts. Check out the new packages of vegetables!! They used to be 4.99 for 750 g of veggies...now they are 4.99 for 300 g of veggies!! We'll be shopping elsewhere. The prices, the quality and now the quantity have ALL DECLINED!!
