Here you have the opinions of real people who are purchasing the products and services of Whole Foods Market (Butcher Shop) in North Vancouver territory (Canada).
Right now the firm gets a rating of 4 out of 5 and this rating was based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average score it has is very high, and it is founded on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may think that the evaluation is quite credible. If many people have bothered to rate when they've done well, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write opinions when these are good and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Butcher Shop is included in the category of Grocery store.
Whole foods is overpriced and just mostly a green washed money maker for JB. It’s true what Nathan said about the unfriendliness and being pushed aside in the aisles. The employeees at the TIL are great. The food in the bakery portions are basically becoming smaller and smaller portions while the prices are remaining the same or increasing. The food is all wrapped in plastic ....SO MUCH PLASTIC !!! Vancouver, as far as I know still doesn’t have a recycling situation for all of those “recyclable Plastic ish” containers. What is the footprint? One of the reasons the store is supposed to have higher prices is that they do this work and we pay for it. It’s supposed to be a leader and a role model but has only come down to money and the workers can’t compute YES I would like my product from the unwrapped section and in paper please. I DONT WANT PLASTIC. When asked if they can bring up to management is it’s a conflicting practice with the world today, their eyes just flutter a little and they nod slightly. It is nice to go into this store with its cleanliness and wide aisles in comparison to many places nearby. Just because it says whole foods doesn’t mean it is. It looks nice, seems green and has some good choices all in the same place. But if you visit around a little to the small businesses they are offering pretty similar options for far less. The food at the NV one is far less superior than the offerings at the Westvan. Same recipes, how can that be? Sorry but for the prices that are being charged this experience can only be improved upon in great leaps.
The items are great quality, however can be quite pricey.
As of today April 9 2018, just called customer Service & confirmed still not open yet.
What an amazing place this is, I have been attending for more than 12 years and I always have an amazing time when I go. Is a tradition to go there for a Muffin and Coffee deal in the weekends and to buy a Carmelita to go. I totally recommend having anything from their bakery.
the hot food self serve section isn't as fresh as other WF's, it looks as if it's been sitting for hours, over cooked, mushy and little variety
love this store, amazing staff
The cashier's are slow here, and there's never enough of them open. It's not a place to go if you're inna rush. Also everything is more expensive there, as is expected with Whole Foods. My review WAS 3 stars but I had to change it because the cashier took over 10minutes to figure out how to ring through an avocado
This location seems to cater to a expensive organic crowd, not as much appeal as other locations
Will open April 26, assuming no last-second delays.
Great store lots of local product.????
Discriminatory toward ESA dogs. Refused entry. Yes, as a company you do have a choice to allow ESA dogs in. You just our families $250 a week customer spend for life. Disgraceful.
it sure is a whole foods. expensive 'organic' stuff sold for the rich folks who want it. a safeway used to be here. it was more affordable. i might have some bias, in the form of salt.
This is a brand new, beautiful store. It has a wonderful selection of high quality products and amazing food bars for anyone's taste and food needs. With a nice sitting area to enjoy the meal and the sunshine, it sure is easy to spend some time here.
Whole foods north vancouver is a great grocery shop with a super high quality organic products. I specially love their meats for steak :) they are awesome, just look at the photo ????
I like to shop in the North Vancouver location because it is conveniently located enroute to my other grocery shopping locations. We only buy some specific items here, like organic dairy, eggs, some pastries and rare items we love but can’t find anywhere else. Some of the 365 products are nice too. Other things that are available for less elsewhere, we get in other stores. The staff is always friendly and overall it’s great experience.
Truly the best grocery store ❤️
Glass of wine and salad bar, what do I need more?
You get fresh high quality foods but little expensive
Before the pandemic, I used to come here all the time and order a vegan pizza. Now, everytime, I try and order one, I have to first fight with them to even understand what vegan is (at wholefoods of all places). Then they say they don't have the cheese which the very much so cause it's in the fridges; when I tell them that, they have the audacity to make me fetch instead of getting it themselves. Finally, for the life of them, they can't seem to wear their masks properly and keep their noses above it.
Omega expensive! - found some 22 dollar for 1kg granola and 14.99 for a jar of pasta sauce... with the Amazon owned in house brand providing drastically cheaper options - feels like they're trying to present themselves as the only real option...
Great location, best quality products. Plenty parking.
Headed to the media opening tonight! They carry great products and often have amazing sales. My fav grocery store.
Good location, nice big store. Went for lunch. Hot food bar was disappointing. Veggies were either burnt or looked very old. Need to switch out the food that has sat too long. Went up Lonsdale for Sushi instead.
The best thing ever happened on lonsdale
They always have good produce if you know how to buy it. It's the only one I've been to, so I can't compare selection to WV location. The odd time I picked up some hot bar dinners, they aren't bad. Its buffet food, not sure what most people expect from food sitting under hot lamps. Don't buy the in-house seasoned fish. Twice I've picked it up and both times felt sick before finishing it, should have known from the strong smell while baking or frying. It kinda turned me off their fresh fish too. I don't know much about sourcing fish, but I do know it's all pretty unregulated and it's more $/lb for fresh wild fish here... no more WF fish for me.
Best place to buy fruits and vegetables. Maybe a bit more expensive but the last longer and you'll have less waste
It was nice to see lots of organic products that weren't ridiculously overpriced. Shame there's no beer and wine section. Do remember to use our local independent shops on Lonsdale as well. Would hate to see them being killed off by these big names.
Went for a few pick ups and stayed for happy hours.
I like the layout of the store... great open concept. I have ordered a protein smoothie bowl about 5 times from the coffee/juice bar. Each time it’s different even though I order the same bowl. Today’s PNW bowl was too runny. I think the almond butter was not added. It would be nice to see consistency with the orders. I am also surprised that you charge for a glass of water
Food was great, shopping experience was better
EXPENSIVE good food but they use canola oil in their store made food products
Great selection. But overpriced.
I don't see the point of having the hot bar here. Always mac and cheese and weird fried rice, dried out meat dishes- cut in chunks. And what's up with having 3-4 kinds of mac and cheese? I'd rather have more variety.. if that's not possible, less variety but good food. They don't have neither. very disappointing.
Good place for buying organic fruit , vegetables and healthy foods.
Neat, clean and fitting every taste.
Definitely missing the buzz of West Vancouver Whole Foods Market. Staff are often not familiar with what's on their advertising and online flyer. Today I wanted to try the bohemian sandwich and it was a featured sale item. Not only they did not have any made (at 11am), the staff person didn't look too enthused to look for the veggie Pattie its made with. This has happened before too ... I think the main reason is the lack of traffic and customers coming to this location. It's quiet most of the time. I purchased some items from the hot bar and it was ok. Again not the variety you see at the West Vancouver branch. Also visited the Floral Dept and decided to go to West Vancouver branch as they didn't look fresh and not enough little bouquet variations were made.
Super tidy, not too busy at time I had gone (midday wednesday). Really satisfying displays of produce and grocery. Enjoyed my shop there :)
There's always a very good selection, and they have a few things I enjoy that I can't find anywhere else. The prices, however, are a few cents to a few dollars more than any other store, so I don't recommend doing your regular shopping here.
Thank you Fabiola in the seafood section for being so exceptionally helpful and even chasing through the store to find me when I forgot one of my items. Fabulous service by a committed employee!!!
I limited supply, but good options of what they carry. Do Not carry Canadian Organic products
Sometimes I go there to pickup some fresh veggies, it is the best place for big selection of organic produce and other organic items. The price is more than the conventional items, but it is more reasonable than the non organic items at City-market on Lonsdale, so if you are a regular customer at City-market I encourage you to try the Whole-food on 13th which is just three blocks a way, you will find fresh organic food for the same price you pay for conventional food at City-market.
I like whole foods I just cant afford to shop there very often. I needed whole nutmeg and so I went to Whole Foods and ended up picking more things up. Some items were too pricey for me, likley because they are of higher quality than what I am ok with.
Like always great, you can buy all of your home supplements here, near to public transit systems like bus, easy access for people with disabilities who using wheelchair and you can enjoy shopping with your family and children, fresh fruits and vegetables with good quality are available here
Very organized store. Lots of vegan choices. They have free parking for customers who spend more than ten dollars.
Super choices for veggies and other greens. Ideal for vegetarians and vegans, limited choices for carnivores. But no airmiles, no nothing...
It would be nice to see some real chefs create meals at this location, unfortunately they need more variety when it comes to choice of hot meals. Thank you.
Got sold expensive pork chops that went bad before the due date. They were in a very cold fridge. They smelled like ammonia or fish when taken out to be marinated. It was disgusting. Called the store and customer service manager basically shrugged and said nothing they can do since they aren’t processing returns right now. Of course they could offer a store credit easily. I don’t think people have a lot of money to flush down the toilet right now. This is not expected for a supposedly higher end store with products they claim are superior. Very disappointed, don’t plan on ever going back.
Sale on healthy frozen pizzas! Clean and easy!! Great staff!
Love the Big Yummy smoothie with blueberries from smoothie bar. Love their freshly made sandwiches but unfortunately many days they will only have one or two types of sandwiches to choose from so it’s always hit or miss. They took away the “build your own sandwich” option and most of the food at the hot food buffet, so I rarely come here for lunch anymore and I work across the street.
Validated my parking which is a very nice gesture for shopping at the store while in the neighbourhood running errands.
Love this place, its new and the best Whole Foods in Van
Overpriced, but definitely a nice grocery store to stop at, with very good and healthy produce and fairly average products that look good :)
Best service, and generous aisle space for shopping. 4 stars because after all, Whole Foods is not known for being a budget shopping destination. Would prefer to see less deli sandwich choices slapped together with mayo, or perhaps some with mayo and some sandwiches without high fat mayo. Then again, just a personal preference. The pizza is okay. Have yet to try the sushi. What stands out is the wonderful salad bar, bakery and cheese selections. Try the almond cheese. Pricey yet very good !
Over priced and over packaged but very good quality.
Quality of fish and produce has gone down significantly in past couple of years. Prices high, quality low.
Quite expensive, and not really a whole lot of selection. Every time I go there, and need something specific they dont have. Ex.canned corn. Please Check expiry dates !! Bought juice brought it home.It was expired and sour looking. Also brought a cake to take to friends house, cake was hard and not fresh. I was embarrassed to have brought such a gift!Had to dump it considering the fact that this is a organic store, I'm very disappointed with what I found here, I expect higher quality .In fish and meats as well. But didnt find that here. Only higher prices.
Its expensive but many things are available that you may not find anywhere else
I love the wide variety of the food they have here. Almost anything you want in several different brands so you could choose exactly what you want. Very disappointed at their bakery. I could almost never find a good selection at this branch. Downtown branch has much larger and better selection
Pricey
Pretty much no vegan options throughout the store which seems to go against what Whole Foods is. The US locations are way better.
I like the selection of vegetables. I am shopping only there and at West Vancouver location. Today I came home depressed from shopping. The man at customer service ( maybe manager was very unfriendly, rude). He came to me after I took the mask and said that I was touching the masks ( I was not , they were in the paper ) and trashed at least 4 of them. He said that , if I already have my mask from home , I should not take any. He looked angry. He said nothing to a man who was there before me and who was touching a mask and put it back without paper. I feel, he was rude to me because I am woman and was afraid to say anything to a man. I think from today , I will shop only in West Vancouver location. They are more friendly.
Whole foods really needs to think about their brand. It’s all about the people... and you don’t have the right people. Deli counter service seems inconvenienced by clientele. Meat and seafood has routinely given me grief about ordering 2 types of sausages. Then packaging them in the same wrapping... I would encourage ownership/management to take a hard look at what you have at your location. You’re in the perfect location on Lonsdale and are turning business away with your teammate selection.
Really good prepared food and salad bar. Delicious! Coffee from cafe was also high quality. Some things are on the high side price wise, and some things are decently priced, so be aware to comparison shop. Nice collection of specialty/local products that are hard to find at other stores. I would shop here all the time if the prices were just a little lower! A welcome addition to North Vancouver's grocery game.
Great new location in north Vancouver. You walk in and see amazon storage lockers which is really cool. Always fresh items at the deli. You can make fresh peanut butter and grind your coffee. Everyone is so helpful and officially the only whole foods location that you can sit down in peace and enjoy a cold beer. prices are obviously higher but again you get what you pay for.
The staff are great here I love them all; I only shop here for hard to finds. Independent grocers all up and down Lonsdale have great produce and cool options.
Great. A bit pricey. Open atmosphere with good lighting. Excellent muffins.
For the umpteenth time, the fruits I had bought were still rotten, and although it is very difficult for me to travel all the way to West Vancouver at an advanced age, I will not buy from you anymore.
Largest whole foods I have seen... Anywhere. .
It's a nice story but let's face it the prices are out of control
It's a Whole Foods, but a welcome addition to the area. I'm used to the Park Royal one, so this location is downright spacious by comparison. Much larger selection too.
Good selection kinda pricey not my kinda place parking is in the building $$$$
The best place to find quality products and ingredients
Great place to get some snacks and groceries lol
Excellent store sumthing for everyone here????
Cooked food isn't as good as downtown or park Royal
Great collection of organic food and a great place to shop and maybe to hang out.
Holiday season is coming. Highly recommend for visiting Whole food market to buy Christmas cake and treats. I love its Strawberry cake and Fruit cheese cake. Just order a day before you visit.
Very recently opened Whole Foods. Probably a bit smaller than some, but not surprising for Lonsdale Ave. Food here can be expensive, but generally of good quality.
This whole foods on Lonsdale has way too much space and not a lot of product. It seems as if they were aiming for an "open concept" design for this store. I believe that customers would rather have more product to choose from in at a grocery store rather than empty space. That's why I prefer the Whole Foods in West Vancouver, there is a larger variety, more to choose from. Even the hot food bar is pathetic comparing to the west van location. Always pay attention when the cashier is ringing up your groceries because they often make mistakes, especially with weighed produce. All the staff there are new and they seem very clueless. My least favourite part of this whole foods on Lonsdale is that the items in the Burrito bar are never fresh. The tomatoes (if there are any) are soggy, all the ingredients are always low, and they don’t top it up with fresh ones. Yes, I’m paying $10 for my burrito bowl, but at least make it fresh, not with half day old soggy ingredients.
Good selection and great staff. Not as big as some other WF stores but this makes it a good spot for a quick pick up. Nice coffee, juice and smoothie bar upfront.
Great selection and very caring staff. Prices are very high.
Friendly people and really clean place.
Love the selection. Hate the price. I can go anywhere else in is sale and get better quality fresher fruits and veg at a fraction of the price. But I'm addicted to PC points so I just buy snacks and dried goods and frozen stuff there. It's pretty good over all.
Whole foods has very nice products. However, I get the impression when I shop there that I still don't get my moneys worth despite these fancier products. With respect to this location in particular, I find the concrete decor to be cold and quite noisy inside. They do have a nice bar and the hot food is nice and it's a reasonable way to get a quick dinner.
Organized, efficient store. Always enjoy visiting
Is your store selling GM ( Geneticaly Modified) atlantic salmon? If so are you labeling this product as farmed and GM salmon? Your store and all other Whole Foods stores are on the list of the supplier of these Frankenstein socalled Fish....
the pizza is ok but the burrito bowl is terrible. The meat looks rotten and stinky and the onions are not even cooked properly. Made me almost throw up eating it. Just dont go here go to chipotle
Good, organic food but VERY expensive one lunch was $50 CAD
I love the cheezies there, but the food is very expensive
A new location and very small. As usual, great produce. Underground parking. Centrally located.
Diversity is fine. however the same products in Loblaws 3 blocks ahead are cheaper. Also, the food is average to bad, which you'd never expect for that price.
I pre-ordered a vegan chocolate cake for a surprise 60th birthday several days in advance and called back the day before our event to confirm the order. When we showed up to pick up the cake half hour before the event, it was NOT the vegan cake despite the order slip stating it should be. The location did not offer ANYTHING. They charged us for the non-vegan cake (which only half of our group could eat) and offered a free slice of vegan cake as a remedy.... what a joke. Do not order from this bakery, what a huge disappointment for our special event.
Its canadian whole foods.... nothing exciting
Great selection of ready to eat foods.
North Van Whole Foods Market seems to be missing something in comparison to the West Van one. Pizza looks overdried. A couple weeks ago I had to return the blueberry pie because because the blueberry filling was sticking to my teeth. It looked like a glue. I returned the pie and asked the customer service what it was. She could not answer my question. I think somebody put too much gelatin. For the price they charge for the pie they should do a better job. Do not love the underground parking.
Whole foods are great. Excellent staff. All doing the best they can under these circumstances keeping a safe environment for their customers.
This location is smaller compared to the west van and Cambie locations, but still similarly stocked. There are a few products in prepared foods that are different/I miss. They are never terribly busy like those other locations, which is good as a shopper.
They provide masks and reimbursement for parking
Poor management, complained about mislabeling on Vegetarian meals that actually contained meat in the pre-prepared food section and was given a shoulder shrug answer. Went back several weeks later, same issue.
Excellent produce, fish, meat and carry out ready to eat meals of the foremost quality
typical whole foods location. i think all the locals shop here for all their groceries. very convenient location directly on lonsdale and close to the hospital and shops. very large location with all the amenities. integrated with amazon too with their large storage lockers you can go to pick your loot after you order online. their hot prepared food section is decimated since COVID, but they pivoted and have individually wrapped prepared items in the fridge you can cook or heat up yourself. there is a Nandos attached to the outside as well as a taqueria if you feel munchy. ample parking underground as well. typical of whole foods you have to pay for parking tho. value for dollar is typical of whole foods; which is not very good. otherwise though, would recommend.
The Deli department is a joke. You stand and wait and wait for someone to come and help you. You can see in the back 5 or more workers in the back talking to each other and no help ????. I don't think they have their food safe certificate either. I find them rude most times and their rotisserie chicken are not cooked properly. My friends agree. The North Vancouver store needs a a wakeup call ????
Love this store. Quiet, clean, easy shopping
I love whole foods
It’s a fine whole foods, except for the fish counter. 2 separate times I have bought prawns from behind the counter instead of frozen, and they smelled absolutely horrendous when I got home. I’m shocked someone could pick them up and wrap them without noticing that. The first time it happened I thought it was just a mistake, as things like that can happen. But 2 times, definitely not buying seafood here again
Pricey, but healthy organic foods and chef made sides
A little expensive, but very good quality whole foods.
Great for organic and fresh food, especially to pick up a quick hot lunch. This location doesn’t seem to have as much selection as the West Vancouver one though...
An update on another topic since google maps doesn’t let you post twice. I’m forced to downgrade them from 4 stars to 2. I went to buy 2 bouquets flowers today, since they’re free trade. They were completely out of stock other than a couple of really sad, wilted bunches. (See picture.) How does a corporate behemoth like Whole Foods, owned by Amazon, a trillion dollar company with a worldwide distribution network have stock outs??? You need to get it together, WF! Susan in the Whole Body department is exceptional! She’s knowledgeable, takes your needs seriously to ensure you get the right supplement to suit your needs. One star off coz if she’s not working that day, the other reps have little knowledge or experience to help guide you.
Only really use the underground parking which is expensive but convenient.
Well, not my 1st experience with their meal deal, the nett weight supposed to be 0.45kg but everytime being given less. Wonder of they do it on purpose....
Although somewhat pricey, they have good specials. The coffee bar is great, muffin and coffee for 4 bucks.
No way. Never again will I go there. $5. For parking the prices are out of this world.
The produce selection is terrible everything is either mushy and bruised or not even close to ripe. The cafe is so chaotic and they don't even carry the beverages the shop sells. Plus, a lot of products dont seem to be available at this branch..?
7pm close on Monday? Closing earlier on other days...thanks for making me drive to west van store more often. Y'all have caught the north van disease...the dark night is scary! Shut down asap.
The pizza they have after 5/6pm seems to have been sitting around for a few hours and vegetarian/vegan/whatever type that no one wants.
Arrived at the Deli meats counter to order some sliced turkey. I was the only person at the counter. The clerk took the turkey roll and was about to slice it when another deli clerk approached her. The first clerk asked if I could come back in 5 minutes. I indicated that I did not want to wait 5 minutes as this was the last thing I needed to finish my shopping The clerk ignored me and began slicing up some ham which, I assume, was needed by the other deli clerk. So servicing the deli was more important than servicing a customer at the counter. They will service you in their own good time. Unbelievable
Lots of choices but pricey.
One of shopping center where you can find high-quality products, nice packaging, clean, organic foods and more is Whole Foods. It is really good we have a Whole Foods in North Vancouver since Apr 2018. What is happening in North Vancouver Whole Foods regardless of the products their customer service is not only poor but you can’t call it even customer service! Their supervisors act really strange when they see a customer. Once you get there, you shouldn’t expect for any greeting or welcoming and when their managers see you they are starring at your eyes and waiting until you greet them. They are passing by customers arrogantly. If they are loading the shelves, they are not going to open a way for you, you the only one should t pass! Surprisingly, the cashiers and labors are helpful but the store supervisors not at all. The store manager should think bout it their behavior and asking for change. For many months this branch has been opened and they are becoming increasingly rude. I have the name of each one of them, and if there is no change, I will continue to keep aware people who live in our neighborhood.
Please check your purchase bill, yesterday accidentally I checked my bill and noticed I was charged for the bouquet which the next person after me had in his hand.
I went to north vancouver whole foods today afternoon and had 4 little kids with me, it was raining so hard and I ended up parking in the underground parking lot and paid for parking as well. Kids had fun there and after we finished shopping, I ordered pizza for them and they enjoyed it a lot. Unfortunately when we went back to parking lot to leave, I found a ticket close to $90.00 and got so upset. I was too busy taking care of kids and feeding them that I slightly passed the parking time limit(about 10min) and this ruined my whole day. I hope store can help me with that.
West van location is much better. Too much concrete industrial feeling, same as cambie location. Disappointed. Don’t mind paying more money for better experience.
If I could give this location zero stars, I would. I live in the area, and prior to Covid frequently relied on both the hot bar and the smoothie/Coffee bar for breakfast and dinner. I am extremely busy for my job which makes it difficult to cook at home, and the convince of the hot bar was a necessity. Since re- opening after covid, it feels like you are cuttung corners. Ive had to wait half an hour for my coffee or smoothie because there is only 1 staff member working at peak times, or if there are 2 the second one seems to not know what they are doing. When i go to the hot bar there’s NOTHING after 6 pm, and before hand theres maybe a selection of 3 things. This is a horrible way to run a company i will now go out of my way to avoid this location.
Not busy yet. It's a very nice shop.
Great experience in the store so far, happy to have them in central Lonsdale!
Love it????
I really love Wholefoods. We just moved from Portland to North Vancouver and I was so happy to see there was a WF just close to my house! The only difference I see is the customer service. I’m used to VERY FRIENDLY staff always and here I didn’t find the staff to care much about how they treat customers. I’m happy to provide more details of my specific experience there.
An excellent selection great customer service at every single store. Consistencies is what keeps us coming back.
Great as long as you know where to find anything because asking someone doesn’t really work out. You might wanna stick with Safeway I don’t mind the price ms for better quality but I do need at least a little bit of customer service
Very disappointed with this location, I spend alot of money with this store and today I had the worst experience. I stood in line for coffee while 3 workers ignored me for almost 5 minutes, at which point I had to ask for help. They were very rude to myself and other customer's. I will be going back to the West Van store even though this location is closer. The level of customer service is not the same.
They have yet to reopen the lovely popular beer and wine bar.
Not too crowded usually
What a great store to go to, so much to choose from, friendly staff, clean, service was great and fast.
Great service, thank you WF NV!
The deli section has been very empty lately but otherwise a standard whole foods.
For three years I have been asking for more vegan options in their salad and hot bar section. Now that the hot bar is closed for COVID, the only to-go options are pre-made salads and not ONE of them is vegan. A vegan can't eat a SALAD at Whole Foods. News flash, not every salad needs cheese or salmon or chicken on it to be edible. I have to walk to City Market on 17th for a lovely salad of mixed greens, walnuts, mandarins and berries. Like, it's not complicated. I really expect more from a chain that prides itself on healthy whole foods. I miss the Bellingham location because they have amazing hot bar and pizza options for vegans. I've given up which is a shame because I'm a block away.
Went to this location to purchase a select few groceries needed for a birthday dinner. Looked for whole wheat linguine or fettuccine to no avail. Empty spaces on shelf where would normally be. Then looked for sundried tomatoes in oil. Only a few very small jars on shelf at a ridiculous price. Needed larger size and not willing to pay $30 for 236 ml x 3. Went to ask customer service to double check on pasta and sundried in a different location. No luck. He was pleasant enough, but still very frustrating for a high end grocery store to not have what you need. Also could not locate any fresh basil in produce. Put my spinach back on shelf and walked out so disappointed. This location seems to be missing a lot of product that others have. Not sure why...
Helpful pleasant staff. Some good deals. Natural herbal supplement Dept. Very well stocked & great staff!☺️On the"whole"way too????!! Bakery disappointing????need more alternative flour, vegan & gluten-free!
Whole foods' quality has really gone done in this past year. The produce is often not fresh and lots of product that's 1 day away from expiring. Bought some shrimp there twice that smelled like it had gone bad and the first time we ate it we got sick and decided to give Whole foods another shot only to have the same foul smell and throw out the entire thing. Also, bought a cauliflower recently infested with aphids and for the price you pay absolutely no quality control.
The girl Dina at the cafe is the absolute worst for customer service. She's about as welcomings a wet rag. I ordered a coffee with my muffins and was standing at the bar waiting for my coffee for 10 mins and no one even bothered asking what I was waiting for finally I asked where my coffee was and she just looked at me and said "huh? I never changed you for that" and I'm mad because now there is a line up and I'm late for work and no one even attempted to accommodate me. I chose to go there I can go to any other coffee shop.
Great place to shop for every day items
I have been really disappointed with the hot food bar. There is no hot meat protein. In West van they have hot turkey, chicken and curried fish and yams. North van has lots of Mac and cheese, salad and dried out pizza that always looks burnt or over heated. Also if you go at 9:30 at night there is barely anything left on the hot bar, no soup, or protein. Just dried out pizza that looks like cardboard. Haven’t eaten a single meal there yet, I typically use to go to West van 3-5 times a week. Weird choices for the Food features given Street traffic for lunches and dinners, gym upstairs, and lots of single people coming into eat. What is the chef doing about this? A couple of staff have commented the chef is cooking what he wants. I want yams, roasted chicken legs, roasted turkey and curry fish. Less greasy Asian food please!
frustrating experience...paying for parking to shop...then had to spend min 10 to be reimbursed...just bought a sandwich....would have bought more if i knew...sandwich just okay.
Pathetic customer service and no common sense discretion whatsoever during returns. Expensive and over marked up Cosmetic products that are kept beyond the shelf life and then discounted.
The atmosphere of the store was nice, location was bright and clean, and the staff were friendly. However, I would not recommend ordering pizza if you plan on getting a cheese pizza. The cheese was highly processed (orange) cheddar, which was extremely oily and unpleasant on a pizza. It was not the typical mozzarella or white cheese you would expect, too bad, since the crust was great! Not ideal if you're paying $18 for a pizza...
They sell collard greens so they are good in my book
Love whole foods. This location in North Vancouver is honestly not as good as West Van in terms of hot bar, prepared options but still solid for groceries.
Best part is you don't need to worry about the parking.
Very limited selection compared to the other whole foods in town in terms of their food. Need more of a selection.
