Hidden deep within Loblaws City Market is one of the most inexpensive breakfast sandwich places on the North Shore. $5.50 gets you a delicious BELT (bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato) AND a medium coffee. I could understand if the BELT was horrible and the coffee sucked, but they are both delicious and made by a friendly City Market employee. Pro tip: have your parking validated at customer service while they make your sandwich.

Usually pretty good. However: Check your OJ to make sure it isnt leaking. Always, always check the expiry dates on food you are buying. I have literally seen expired (as in past date on label) bread and meat left on the shelf for sale. Occasionally they leave rotting produce on the shelf in produce aisle. Excessively bright orange floor looks tacky but whatever. Check your eggs before you buy them as they leave cracked egg cartons on the shelf. Occasionally the older ladies working customer service stand are inexplicably rude. Irritating app you have to manually refresh every week just to collect points on specific grocery items. Price labels often missing from shelf or items stuck in front of wrong price label. Always double check your receipt to make sure you werent ripped off by mislabeled/mispriced products. Some items (but not all) very overpriced. Underground parking frequented by individuals who do not know how to drive. Pharmacy service often slow to help customers in line.

Loblaws is awesome, a couple of days ago, I had one hour to kill. So I decided to pick up dinner for my friend and myself. We decided on something easy and wouldn't take 3 hours to do, so we decided on spaghetti. Well,I bought the spaghetti for $1.00 and picked up some onions and peppers and some ground beef. I should of come to just under $10.00 But it didn't come to that. It came just over $6.00. That is amazing, feeding two people for Just over $6.00. Thank you Loblaws, you make it affordable to eat in this expensive city.

On the slightly expensive side, but great staff and selection. Some gluten free stuff there. They also have Express where you can order online, which is useful. If you go at 10pm, they start restocking the shelves, so it's harder to get around the aisles.

Love the organic options they have as well as the other healthier choices. They have a huge bakery, salad bar, olive station, greens, frozen section. Service is always very good. Super clean. I have some issue with some common item pricing.

Organic produce, especially leafy greens, always soft and past their due date. Always out of yoso unsweetened. I spend the least amount of time in here due to the horribly bright lights and the red yellow orange theme. Not relaxing or helpful staff like whole foods.

I really like this store because it's modern and well laid out. Since it's a small store compared to the big Superstores, it doesn't have the quantity of products but it has a nice selection in most categories. The deli and the hit food areas are great as is the desert counter with cakes and other delectable foods. This store even has an eating area with a lovely view of the mountains and street. The underground parking is free if you get your parking ticket stamped too!

Really delicious breakfast sandwich at the cafe, I get it on a bun, you can choose a bagel instead, combo has a coffee. Also, really good fresh made hot chicken sandwiches at the rotisserie, get a choice of sides with the combo. A Lonsdale gem.

Overall; The store is clean and the products appear to be fresh. It is fairly well organized so that even a new customers can easily maneuver around to find what they need. Deli; The staff will warm up or toast some of the products so that you can eat warm food in a seating area by the food court(?) area within the store. The price seems a little bit high but then again I think that way for many other stores, too. So, please take this opinion of mine with grain of salt. Tables and eating area; I think this are needs to be maintained clean. Both times I ate there, I noticed spillage of soup, bread crumbs and many other unidentifiable mess in around the large tables but also the small tables by the entrance. Would I return in the future? Yes but may not eat there any more. Take out might work better for me.

The location is really convenient, parking is free in a busy area, and their selection is quite good. Smaller specialty selection than somewhere like Whole Foods, but not quite that expensive. More expensive than Superstore. Not the cheapest place to buy groceries, but a decent middle ground balancing price with availability.

Park underground for free - remember to have your parking ticket validated at checkout. Rather confusing to find escalator up. It is a grocery store with a trendy lunch spot. Has a nice, but expensive, bakery counter. Good selection of fresh produce and specialty foods. Pharmacy is well staffed and efficient. Deli counter takes special requests. Overall a positive experience.

I have always had the most pleasant interactions with everyone working here, from the friendly security personnel maintaining safe capacity limits, the people keeping the shelves full who are wonderful at finding items, to the cashiers who are extremely careful with sanitation, and keeping the lines moving while ensuring social distancing. Before the pandemic, and now during, this store continues to be a safe, inviting place to pick up necessities.

This is my favorite grocery store. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable although it is sometimes a bit of a challenge to find someone. There is a great selection of food at different price levels. They carry a lot of the President's Choice options as expected as well as some pricier ones. The store is bright and colourful and it makes the shopping experience very pleasant. The parking lot situation is still a bit iffy but it is a lot better than it used to be. Before there were tight spots and awkward corners but it is better now. It is centrally located so near to a Starbucks, medical clinic and my favorite Esso gas station. My favourite thing about the store is the free samples. Especially around the deli they are happy to help you sample meats and cheese. Some stores just do not get it so after doing at this store you are spoiled for other stores. Don't forget to ask the cashier to validate your parking ticket! When you shop at this store and use the Optimum card the points really add up. Take advantage of the Optimum deals, let your points build over the year and take advantage of it at Christmas!

Nice up-scale grocery with ample parking below that is free often and if not you can get your ticket validated. Very clean store with a very nice patisserie, produce, butcher, practically everything you could need. Loblaws is part of the SuperStore chain but this is a large step up from SuperStore, higher prices but better service.

Produce is pricier than independant options nearby. Packaged goods such as bread and milk are priced on par with other grocers. Store is pleasant and clean looking. Decent covid protocols and big aisles, but it gets busy. No one follows the aisle directions so it's a bit of a free for all. I use this store for my packaged staples: milk, eggs, flour, etc.

Everything they sell is spoiled, just bought avocados; was pure black on the inside. The meat 2 days after I bought it and also looked and smelled horrible even though the expiration date is completely far along the weeks. I took pictures of it to post it with the reviews but for some reason it doesn’t allow it. So much money wasted on spoiled food.

Since they open few years back, I have enjoyed grocery shopping. Huge selection and space to room around. It's very stimulating the way they arrange their store. My first effort is to resist the goodies at the beginning of the store and try to remain focus of my reasons to visit the store. I succeed sometimes and end up with my purchases, no extra. I do not win all the time. Still happy to shop in that location

Non-existent customer service desk. Customer service is being used as a Till so when you do a flashfoods order you have to line up not once but twice as they continue to help other customers buying items while you quickly pick up. Instead of being a dedicated customer service desk which would take each transaction till the end to resolve the issue or transaction requiring assistance they just keep ringing people in like any other till.

They serve the best breakfast sandwiches around! 5 bucks for a fantastic egg and cheese deluxe blt is a steal in my opinion, but I get 3 of them because they're so darn good. The store is well layed out, and the staff have been friendly and kind in my encounters with them. It's almost always the same lady at the coffee bar and she is very polite and highly efficient with food production. I am overall extremely pleased with this store. Maybe you'll consider stopping in and getting a deluxe BLT too ????

Super convenient location, overall friendly staff, somewhat good selection of various products, super awesome selection of cheeses. They sell some things I can't find anywhere else other than specialty stores. Parking is free with any purchase. Usually it does get quite busy, especially during evenings and weekends but they open all tills plus self serve ones so the wait time isn't insane. But there is always a down side - they are quite overpriced. What you get for what you pay doesn't give you much value, and you can save money going few blocks up to Persian market instead.

This place is great for finding sorta specialty items. It has a really good hot food section as well with deli sandwhichs and fancy salads. Huuuuge cheese selection in a fancy special cheese fridge. The butchers counter has great selection and a very knowledge butcher to help you.

The bakery people are so incredibly rude. They never smile. You have to demand service. Sort of dirty in dairy as well. They are hard to get a hold of with concerns. Otherwise good.

This place sucks, The quality of the produce is often not very good and really overpriced. They often run out of common produce and poultry. The amount of pre packaged stuff too is ridiculous and totally wasteful. Pretty sure things like green beans don't need to be pre weighed and packaged. 1 star for the pharmacy and pharmacists. They are helpful, friendly and have fast service.

Good place, in general. It amazes me at how big a difference in price Loblaws has between their stores. I know these are privately owned, but according to several private owners, they don't set the prices in store. We have shopped at a few different City Markets, near concept, but unfortunately nothing special. Maybe something unique will pop up in the future.

This for the pharmacy first thing I like to say is thank you and thank you and thank you so much to the people that work at the pharmacy I don't have the words to describe the kindness the knowledge that those people have especially management Joanne Ben thanks for going above and beyond way above and beyond what your job calls for I am truly sorry for having to leave your pharmacy because I moved way out and nowhere Surrey I've been commuting for months now and I can't do it anymore unfortunately to come to your pharmacy to pick up my monthly prescriptions thank you thank you and thank you some more now if anybody out there who needs a pharmacist that has knowledge compassion and overall I'm looking for a word here I can't find a word right now but people you need a good pharmacy to go to a place where they'll call you by your first name or the people that work there are happy you best be gone to this place easy to change over your prescriptions what they've done for me is more than what I'm sure any other pharmacies would have done anyways thank you very much Jo Anne and all the other people involved there thanks again and I hope to be back soon I really want to move back to North Van someday jude

When this first opened i loved it. I don't know who's running it now but it's dreadful, limited fresh produce every time especially organic, I can never get organic Kale, I end up having to go elsewhere for veggies. It appears that stuff is randomly put on shelves and not together, I used to buy organic good chocolate and lots of other organic items beans, grains, flours but just gave up as I couldn't find them anymore. Today arrived no carts to be found upstairs so went to the car park to go and get one, went to the pharmacy section to purchase band aids and found the organic chocolate next to band aids. It makes no sense it takes me twice as long to shop as I can never find anything. Why are things not put together, mexican food had a row of salmon and tins of tuna today. I like specific higher end products but there never together. I give up shopping here. Why can you not set up your supermarket like European stores, all cheeses together all fours, grains etc together so you can make an informed choice on brands and products. Its literally all over the shop. Please get organized it's a beautiful store with a wonderful view from the check out.

First off this review is over due late! ( November 17th 2021) I had bought some wreaths last year ( 2020) at the City Market and I was looking for the same ones this year for my family. The cashier put me through to Randy the manager that handles this dept and he knew exactly what wreaths I was asking for from the previous year. WOW! I was impressed as they do get lots of greenery in around Christmas time. He told me he had some wreaths in but I wanted the ones very similar to what I had last year. With deliveries being late this year he said they might be in within the week. I got a text from him ( 3 days later) telling me they just came in!! I drove there just before they closed and grabbed a bunch for the resting family at Christmas time. He was my Christmas Angel and the cashier was very friendly and lovely too. She was WOW, WOW when I told her how Randy helped me out. Such amazing helpful staff, I love the store. It's not close by but I go there because the staff is friendly , helpful and I like the variety of foods there too. Thank you again Randy!!!

Good location on Lonsdale. Parking is normally free for customers. Good range of Loblaw products. Pleasant coffee/ice cream counter with seating and view of North Shore mountains. Customer service can be a bit hit and miss depending who is there.

About 2-3 years ago, I tried the macaroni and cheese from the deli type thing. I kid you not, I fell in love with this macaroni. I could eat it every day with no complaints whatsoever. I recently got braces and although it was soft enough to eat, my mouth wasn’t cooperating so well so I couldn’t eat it. I was completely heartbroken. But anyways, get the macaroni and cheese from Loblaws. 10/10, delicious.

it makes me frustrated to see when such a nice store during 8 years got this much dirty floor, full of flies, none of its staff can't speak or understand English , customer service has her own attitude she is so loud, their price is much higher than Superstore, I was there last night at 8:30 and looking to find a person in produce for over 15 minutes to ask my question nobody was over there, won't suggest to anybody anymore, will prefer to buy my grocery shopping from Whole food or superstore. staff are not familiar with their stuff. if you like to loose your money and respect go there. and not enjoy your grocery shopping after work hour.
