I live in Richmond but every time I’m in Burnaby I stop here to pick up sliced meats for hot pot or stir fry. The meat ends are a cheap price and great for soup. Reasonable prices compared to other stores

Great quality of meat at great prices!! Too far to come here every time all the way from north shore but I make it happen once I crave for quality meats! There is usually long line up but if you get there around 2-3pm it will only be ~5min wait. Will return for more as always :)

This place is great if you want BBQ or hot pot meats. They're prices are much better than your regular grocery stores. For hot pot all the meat is sliced perfectly and for BBQ they have pre marinated meats both frozen and fresh. Would definitely recommend.

Quality of the beef and pork is very good. Selection of the cuts cater to Korean style cooking but you can use as you like. The staff was very courteous and allowed me to take my time to choose. They have a selection of frozen meats and beef bones as well for soups. The price of the beef is not cheap and not too expensive. For the quality, the price is very reasonable. The drawback is that the plaza that they are situated in is hard to get into and has really tight parking and a lack of parking.

Word of mouth really works. Got referred here from a friend who said you gotta check this place out specifically if you want to do hot pot or Korean BBQ at home. As other people have noted, lineups can get super crazy. There is a one customer/family limit in the store so that is where the bottle neck occurs. I went at 230 on a sunday and was 5th in line, took 10 minutes. But 5 minutes later, it was 15 families deep. Basically it's safe to say it's generally busy so be prepared to wait. Ordered two marinated meats and they are stored in these pre sealed containers. Korean BBQ ribs and tenderized pork. Both were super good and tender. Very satisfied. No bone shards like you might get once in awhile if you go T&T. Prices are reasonable and competitive with those major stores. The service was good. They were super nice as I had never been there before and explained where everything was. They also threw in some beef bones for free for spending a certain amount. My only beef (pardon the pun) with this places is that the complex can be pretty chaotic during any times and I can't imagine rush hour time being very fun. So parking can be a challenge. Would definitely come back and stock up for future hot pots.

I don’t think other big markets like TNT or save on food can beat their price - Tried to get some hot pot meat from TNT but decided to go HK meat store because they can give you at least x2 the amount for the same price. I see some say this place put bad meat on the bottom but seriously? You try other market because at least they give you “edible” meat at the bottom! I think it’s also depends what meat you get. Hot pot meat is good as well as pork (called Sam gyup sal) and beef (gal beet sal) which can give you the best quality for your money. I do agree they have horrible, horrible parking spaces - limited, narrow parking - I’m just glad I haven’t got into any accident yet haha

They have fresh meat and are reasonable with pricing. Good place for hotpot meat and marinated short ribs .Most of the time employees are great but today in encounter and really unfriendly employee that was really rude and did not want to serve me. I am a regular customer that probably visits Hankook every week if not definitely every other week. Every visit I spend an average of $100-200. My family loves to hotpot and do BBQs in the summer. I recommend all friends and family to Hankook for their meat. I usually bring my puppy along with me to get meat never had a problem. But today employee shouted at me saying "no no no get out" with very limited English trying to tell me I am not welcome. I am not ignorant and totally understand that if animals are not allowed so I asked if I could leash it outside and purchase my needs. Employee did not want to serve me even after leashing my dog outside. As a regular customer for the past 5 years I'm am very disappointed. I then was offered by another customer behind me in line if I wanted them to help me purchase what I needed. Then the worker over heard and told me to come in. I took less than 1 minute to get what I need and paid and left. I usually take less than 5 minutes in the store because I know exactly what they have and what I need. In the 1 minute interaction the employee gave me weird looks and was rushing to get me out of the store . I don't know if I want to come back after the way I was treated today. Would've been a 5 star review if I was treated with respect. But will not be giving a 1 start review as their quality of meat is good. TLDR: products are great , not the friendliest people you will encounter. Don't bring your pets because even leashing them outside you're not welcome.

Great quality with great price for sure! I went with my friend to buy some hotpot sliced beef and pork, and honestly I expected it to be pricey when I saw the great quality of the meat. However, when I looked closer to the price sticker I was stunned by the great price (much lower than I expected and paid previously at other places which the quality is not as high). I tried it when I got home and I am pretty sure that this is going to be the only place I’m getting my meat from from now on!

Really good meat with a decent variety, but note it's not a typical western butcher. They cater mostly to Asian cuisine requirements so everything is pre-sliced for Korean BBQ or hot pot. You won't find steaks or roasts here. Prices are comparable to Superstore if not better, but definitely one worth it because of the higher quality of meat. Go early because the line ups cab be brutal. Some customers buy like $200+ and take 15 mins or more, and between limited occupancy and 1 till, you'll be there waiting for a while.

But THE MANAGER said, "You are just unlucky this time nothing I can do." The way he talked to me was petty rude. Dear owner, teach the MANAGER how customers should be spoken to. Last Saturday I bought meat from kingsway Hancook as usual.When I cooked the sliced pork.there was overwhelming stinky smell which made me sick .I cook a lot and am sensative to food taste .I am pretty sure the special stinky smell belonged to water injected pork... The store might arise the price of meat but should do this...
