This Butcher Shop is included in the category of Grocery store.
Love the selection. Love the hours. They have great sales and usually have sale items in Stock. Though their everyday prices are a bit high. Very clean. Spacious. Well laid out. Signage is good which makes it Easy to find what you are looking for. I've never had to wait in a long line up. Great store.
Awesome place. To eat
Store is clean, recently added self check out seems to have fixed issues with line-ups. Open 24hrs which is convenient. Produce and meat seem over priced.
I love Sobeys. People complain about the higher prices but Sobeys has the best selection of higher quality brands and organic produce and products which I prefer to purchase. Comparing Sobeys to other markets, there is no comparison and despite it being a large franchise, it has a somewhat local charm and appeal that adds to the experience.
Produce is always half rotten. Bought peaches in a bag rotten spoke to produce guy did even egnolge. Today Bought peas in a bag rotten. Really with the cost of product should we except that. Never going back to dobeys Niagara falls.
My experience here overall in the store is independently based however there are the moments that I do ask for service which is at the deli and I want to give that service 2 stars. I have yet to be treated with equality and respect. I am often overlooked and when I have been standing there a whole and an elderly over 55 person comes in, the attendant looks at me as if to say the other person was her first. They often SERVE them first and I sit waiting to it get attitude after. I find the staff highly discrimotory this way. They assume because you are younger you can't buy from the deli or don't know how to order. Today the man actually passed my wait time off to another woman who claimed she was there first when I had been standing behind 2 people patiently. Then he told me the woman would take care of me. He told her what I wanted and I found it odd that what I get exactly everytime came to $5.00 more. When the price is $3.99 per gram I still don't pay close to $20.00 and then she said well it's a little over but she didn't tell me before hand.. I find their deli workers disrespectful to younger women and dismissive. I'll be taking my deli shopping to Commissos. This is after a smile and a how are you? They always seem like you are disturbing them at Sobeys. The only person sweet is the younger student whowork there. The older ones need lessons in non-discriminatory customer service
It's a great store, good prices and variety of products all year long.
Meat and fruit qulity is recommendable.
Not the biggest Sobeys I've ever been in. But was clean, good selection, helpful staff at the deli.
Nice clean and pleasant store to shop. Plenty of selection and staff are always there to help
Like the store generally but the last time i baught barbaqued chicken and a box of cooked fries they were both so dried out it was not a good experience at all.who ever is now in charge of cooking the chicken needs to learn more about cooking the chickens and potatoes.just sayin.
YES SOBEYS YES ! I went in tonight to pick up some late night snacks , when I got to the checkout I was pleasantly surprised to see NO MORE PLASTIC BAGS ! WOOOHOO! THIS MADE MY NIGHT ! I’m SO happy a grocery store as popular as Sobey’s is making the ECO FRIENDLY change and making eco friendly options readily available and accessible to customers! IM SO PROUD ! SOBEYS! SOBEYS! SOBEYS! ????????????????????????????????
Friendly service. But over priced.
Recently : Unfortunately the cakes have been going down hill at this location, I don’t know if it’s because of covid or what the case may be but it’s starting to really disappoint me. I always order Birthday cakes from this location 1st cake this year the name was spelled wrong but it’s okay. Both cakes however did not seem fresh because the next day it started to taste stale. In the past the cake lasted for 5 days, now only 24hrs it seems which is weird. I am paying for fresh cake. I will give one more chance and if it’s the same thing I’m going to have to take my business elsewhere. It’s sad because I’ve been buying Birthday cakes from sobeys for almost a decade. 2 Years Ago : Love the bakery cakes! Both cake and icing always fresh seems light and never feels like I gained 20lbs when I eat it. I travel from other side of Niagara just to get the cakes here ????
We ordered the sandwich platter, fruit platter, and veggie platter. They were ready for pickup when we arrived and put into a cart. The fruit and veggies were are fresh and the staff working in the deli were helpful and made sure everything was low sodium. We will order again from here. A Richard Trus review
The only 24-hour grocery store Niagara Falls so I use it all the time. It's always clean and has friendly staff. Prices are a little high and not everything's always kept in stock.
Terrible experience. Went on December/02 to get my groceries and I had milk from nov/18 and nov/28. My bad that I did not check the date. Also dips that were expiring within a few days. First she denied the dip was from her store which was insulting. Then I showed her exactly the shelf where I picked it up. If I am getting dip, I expect it to last at least a week to 10 days. Today I went to the store To return the stuff and customer service thought they were doing me a favour. No apologies or anything. I did get replacement for milk and one dip which was unopened ... the other one she flat refused as I had opened it . one would expect a store like sobeys to provide their customers with better experiences. And do a better job of managing FIFO and shelf life. I thought that is what I was paying the mark ups for. The lady was rude and lacked professionalism. I guess she expected me to drink up 12 litres of milk the minute I got home in Sunday along with the dips. Sobeys you can do better...
Fruit trays are always awful. Go to zehrs if you want good fruit. A few times i brought home things that have been almost 6 months expired (from the freezer section). Check your dates.
One of the last few 24 hour locations, very convenient. Breads & Buns are usually extremely close or at the best before dates.
I was in the plaza on a work related visit and stopped in to grab a few things. Good store, friendly staff but the selection I found was very small. Still great - considering the location.
As someone who works late, it’s nice to have a store that’s open later than most, however they are not 24 hours as their sign still reads, they close at midnight. I was a bit disappointed on my latest visit however on a Wednesday night, after hurrying from work, I only had about twenty minutes to grab the few items I came for. While picking those up I noticed what appeared to be some good sales, so I grabbed some of these items as well, however at the checkout I was informed that those sales didn’t start till the following day. It would be nice if they didn’t put the sales stickers up before the sales actually started and confuse late night shoppers such as myself. They also remove the sales stickers from the items that are currently on sale till midnight, so if you shop there late such as myself you don’t know what is currently on sale. I understand if they were still 24 hours, but since they close at midnight it would be nice if they changed the sales stickers after the store closed.
Uhhh I've never been to Sobeys it's quiet and definitely odd music but it's nice! It's really fancy to ???? peeps who like expensive fancy should def go there, it's nice
Overpriced but great selection of fresh produce. One of the few places that are open 24/7. Decent baked goods, but hit up a bakery. Place is always clean and organized.
Typical grocery store. They have sales like everyone. Sometimes they are great. Other times not so great. The best thing is they are open 24 hours which is great for those who have different hours than the norm. Also the night staff is pretty friendly.
Always great food and service. I love the sushi.
I love the cleanliness, staff and convenience. I dislike the self serve checkouts! I have found over the past year a decrease in selections which has prompted me to go elsewhere.
Chicken was great ! Samon not that great. Crem brulte was delicious. Great views of the falls. I would go again for sure. Waitress was a pleasure to have.
Good selection and friendly staff
Everything we needed was there. The check-out person was extremely helpful, even catching a problem with a particular piece of fruit.
Called to see if they had ravioli, they told me they had 2 kinds, so I went to the location that I called and sobeys basically argued with me that they never carried it...
Sobey's is a nice place to shop for groceries and their prices are comparable to Commisso's around the corner... although, their selection of organic and health foods is not nearly comparable to Commisso's. It's open 24-hours, so it's a great place to go anytime!
Absolutely spotless. A lot associate was cleaning carts and heading them out as soon as we walked in the door. It was nice to see people following the rules and wearing their masks and paying attention to the lines on the ground. I feel sorry for the cashiers when people are nasty to them for absolutely no reason. I try and make them smile because I know their jobs are miserable. Everybody there was in a good mood today, the store is always a joy to be in.
Convient and close to work. Fresh food and some great deals sometimes. Prices are a bit high for my liking and organic food is mixed in with "normal" food so watch what you grab.
Great place for food, always friendly staff
Disappointed that Sobey's no longer sells Krispy Kreme donuts :) Staff are every helpful and safety/distance measures in place in the covid-19 era.
Sobey's is one of my favorite grocery stores. They have a bakery, a deli & a seafood section. There is always fresh fruit and produce. I love the bakery, it has a wide variety of pastries, pie's and cake's. They also have a decent organic/gluten-free/health food section. They also have ready made meals to-go and sushi. Whole cooked chickens and wedges at the Hot Food Counter & I believe pizza too.
I love Sobey's, except for this one employee that works there. I turned him down for a relationship and he turned psycho, he once followed me to my house. I never go there alone just in case.
The produce section is pretty small but they had exotic fruits like starfruit. Good cheese selection too! Clean, a bit pricey in comparison to nearby stores. But a better verity of foods.
Great place little pricey at times but worth the money....
eh, it's a Sobeys. A clean one with good variety.
Not the greatest grocery store but not the worst. Produce is ok. I find Zehrs has better fruits and veggies for the same or a lower price. I do like that they still use Air Miles.
This is one of my regular grocery stores to shop in. I like how brightly lit and clean the store always is. The checkout staff is also quick. I like knowing the lanes all move fast enough that I don't really feel like I'm waiting all that long even when the lanes are large. It's located in a plaza with so much other convenient shopping too.
Had what I wanted to buy. However, two employees by the name of Anna and Sheryl were at the cash talking to each other about their weekend plans, and didnt say anything to me, or the woman in front of me. Didnt say hello, tell me how much my purchase came to, just nothing. The service at this location has been lacking for a while, but I just found this particular instance disrespectful.
I liked Sobey's! They had nice customer service and a good selection for my needs, and yummy fresh produce.
Fast, friendly, great services. The store always nice clean and organised. Have a lot of parking spot available.
Sobeys is a great supermarket. Too bad it's not open 24 hours a day anymore due to the pandemic.
The best Sobeys l have been in. Very clean, well stock and rolls are clear. Most of the staff were great. Keep up the great work. Thanks : From Rick Stasiuk, Wetaskiwin Alberta , Canada T9A 3R2
If I need to get in and out quickly, this is where I shop. Very seldom do they not have everything I need. The store is always very clean and the staff is very friendly. My shopping today was a delight as usual.
Run like a family style grocery store well stocked good prices easy to get to
Always a great store with great selection. 24 hr convenience. Produce is usually top quality here. Prices are reasonable but more expensive than some of the other stores in the area but again, many products seem more premium to compensate, especially freshly made and produce.
Not the Sobeys I am used to very small and not the selection of foods I would expect for store with the high prices. Sobeys seems to have dropped the quality but surely haven't dropped the prices.
Can get cheap prices and staff absolutely amazing!!!
You will find mostly anything
Open 24 hours. Has underground parking. You can get fresh hot table options here. Sushi, fresh sandwiches, salads, chicken, and pizza. Wide variety of grocery selections you can't find elsewhere. My usual grocery store and all staff has always been kind and helpful. They offer the price scanner code of practice. Aisles are wide and roomy. Store is always clean.
Great bakery. Very clean
Reliable for late night grocery shopping. My experiences has been here or there, overall I'd say it's relatively swell.
Picked up a floral arrangement. Nicely put together. On top of social distancing. When a lineup of customers grew, a call for "all available register clerks" was given. Well run store, bright and clean.
It would be five star if they still had plastic bags
Today my mom went to Sobeys to get some grapefruit juice for me as I’m sick and didn’t want to go out, however they were out of juice. While she was their she had picked up some chips. The cashier (Melody was her name) said “this is essentials?” My mom explained that she came for juice but there was none. The cashier then rudely said “don’t forget to stop at the liquor store” this appalling behavior is definitely not called for. I hope this cashier learns better manners and people skills.
Great place to shop after 8 pm
Nice clean place. I did not have lunch there but I will go back. Nice atmosphere. Good service.
Great if you like line ups for cashier in the morning...
Well lit, well stocked store, and friendly staff
I used to love this store...not anymore. First of all, the line up is always way too long. No other store in the city holds people up this long. Secondly, the one employee who is young guy that stands at the door sometimes is completely rude and disrespectful. The attitude he was giving people the one day I was there was out of line. I then told the manager who was completely useless and just said that they would talk to him. I don’t believe that for a second. Why don’t you deal with bad employees and hire some people worth the job.
Good location, good supplies, friendly staff, reasonably priced.
Bought 3 Cove kombucha for 10 $ and all three have squirted immediately after i twisted off... I want my money back pls someone contact me !!!
We don't shop here often, but have had really fantastic luck finding some of our harder to locate pantry items! The deli is fantastic! Really wonderful selection of specialty foods, such as gluten free.
Usually get my prosciutto from them but I will be going else where from now on. It’s always a huff and puff when I ask for it like it’s a huge issue to do it. Also 2 times I’ve found hair in my meats and I’ve kept trying to give it a chance but it happened again today and I’m done. Hire people who actually like what they do and can keep the work area sanitary with proper hair nets and maybe customers would come back.
Normally good but waiting in line for 25 min for 1 checkout other people same item level pulled ahead No organization at all No staff help wanted to leave and walk out, staff wouldn't even acknowledge when trying to get attention about issues
Always clean staff very friendly helpful Sobeys has everything you need you don't have to shop around like other grocery stores they don't have everything you need the prices are very good especially sale items and you receive air miles a Shell gas coupons also sobeys is open 24 hrs a day 7 days a week
Fresh and good value for beef and seafood when on sale. Clean and ample parking. Open till midnight.
I recently moved from Toronto to Niagara it's very close to my house I was so excited to visit. yesterday I visited this place and it was very bad experience because there is no halal options not even one halal product. No Asian product nothing.and price is so high 3 times more then other stores. Walmart is best with all the products and prices.
Sobeys is my go to store I live close and I know a few of the staff from going there and there very nice all the time,
I had dropped some sour cream and an employee walked over it as 2 seen it happened/me trying to clean it up as well as I could. The employee at the hot food section was also rude and didnt know what the menu was, i asked for a number 4 and she says"what is that"? ???? are kidding me ?? Then as i was checking out the cashier has zero personable skills nor any manners. Do their employees go through any kind of training ??
excellant they had everything I was looking for staff is very helpful best bakery department you it's so good.
This is store is poor. Not only is the parking lot dangerous but Sobeys is generally expensive and this is a small store so doesn't stock many items. I live round the corner and I hardly ever shop there. Some of the staff are a little surly, too.
Sobeys is clean and bright , slightly higher in price compare to other places , it's ok I guese
As usual Sobeys is a clean store.
Now they make you buy a paper bag for your groceries. Let's get this straight, I spend money shopping there but if I want to take my purchase home, then that will cost extra. At least when I shop in the USA I am not asked if I need a dam bag I just get one at no charge. Lost our business and I wonder how many more people will di the same.
Pretty good today they have some decent sales great deli with hot foods and take out awesome
I like to wear a mask when shopping but would feel much more comfortable doing so if the staff did. I was there yesterday and a number of customers wore masks but only one cashier did. Please make masks manditory. I applause the workers and this is for their safety too.
LOVE THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!! the staff are insanely friendly, and they are ALWAYS OPEN! The shelves are ALWAYS fully stocked which is amazing since I'm a super spontaneous person Haha
The lack of customer service is just so bad. That I just left the groceries in the cart without paying, for your staff to put away! And charging 15 cents for a paper bag? I went to Zehrs instead and paid 5 cents for a plastic bag!!
A week before Xmas I was shopping in Sobeys and a staff member was very rude. The man in front of me heard and said a staff member had been even ruder to him. I wrote to the manager and complained and he didnt even care enough to reply. I have not been back. I now shop at Walmart instead.
Picked up flowers for a special occasion. Firstly I shouldnt have to count to see if there is a dozen roses, little embarrassing when I find out there's only 10. In addition to that, expensive for not even a dozen roses. Lastly 10$ for a card? Seems a little much. Wont be going here again for last minute flowers.
Need to have more gluten free options and more organic non gmo foods also they said they sell beer and wine on search and sadly found out its non alcoholic.
Great place for late night snacks, just wish they were still 24hrs
Always fantastic they seem to have a good grasp on covid protection and i feel very safe when i shop
Very friendly staff, lots of options. My biggest complaint, they dont carry enough local or Canadian fruits and veggies. At least 6 types of apples from US only 3 from Ontario
