I was looking for a big (8 lb, 4 bone) prime rib roast. After finding an overly lean one big enough nearby I called Doug’s. He said he had one that was nice and well marbled. He’d get it ready. When I got there it was already wrapped. The price was fair for a good roast (17/lb?) but I was slightly concerned at not being able to see it first. When I saw it at home it was very nicely marbled; after cooking it and serving it to effusive guests I was more than pleased. Excellent meat! The guy who served me said the store had been open just a couple of years. I hope it continues to grow and thrive.

I am so happy to have this local butcher shop open near me. Everything we have tried here is top quality and taste beyond measure. Doug carries some very nice well aged beef that is usually very hard to find. He also makes a killer corned beef brisket. We will not be buying our meat anywhere else!

Been hear twice now . Bacon was Thick and goooood, Ground beef gooood. I was making some Home Made Lasagna and Needed some Sweet Sausage and Ground Beef and knew exactly where I was going to go! On the way out I grabbed a pack of Pepperettes and they were a big hit with my kids. Next time I want to try those delicious looking Hamburgers and steaks. Over All Good Place I didn't even know existed.

First time to this location, I was very impressed with how clean and organized the store is. The meat is awesome. I needed to find a good butcher in StCatharines and this is it. I rather pay a little extra for meat instead of going to the big grocery stores at least I know the quality is there at the smaller store. I would recommend shopping at this store, I will be going back soon.

Went in for skirt steak (tough to find in Canada) and they carry it, though didn’t have any when I went in. Settled for two rib-eye’s and good grief - they were so delicious… Just stellar quality.

Excellent cuts of meat and Doug is a really cool guy. They also support other small businesses by selling their product, one is Everythang Sauce by Canokie Foods of Hamilton. Canokie Foods is raising money to start an addiction program. I recommend you visit Doug, grab some meat, and a bottle of Everythang Sauce.

First time visit but wont be my last. Great location, friendly staff. Wide selection of products. The lean ground & steaks were great flavor. Prices little high but the quality is worth it. Definately pay a visit????

Went into the store today 02/28/2020 to buy some meat with my skeptical wife to show her how nice and clean the store was. We waited for the clerk to finish with the previous customer and after cashing him out he came to the display where we were looking at the product and asked if he could help us. We said we would like some sausage and he reached in touching them with his unwashed hands he had just touched the till and debit machine with the previous customer. We paid for them and left unfortunately never to return again Ray

The meat from Doug's is wonderful, but so is the personal service. He really takes time to help you, and offers you good information which meets your needs. I was in a tight spot when another butcher shop let me down on an order. Doug's took the initiative and time to suggest and discuss an alternative, giving me the instructions I needed. Dinner drop off was rescued! That is customer service. I have shopped here before, but this will be my butcher from now on.

Lots of high quality meats at good prices. They have all of the typical meats and cuts, but nothing specialty or exotic. They have Slurp frozen soups and some other local products for sale. There are frozen prepared meal aids/kits in their freezer as well.
