Antipastos is amazing. Their food is really good, the store has a great selection, you can order ahead and pickup, catering options, a hall you can rent for events and receptions, staff are friendly and know what they sell, and you can get takeout. I love the bakery items they have too, but they taste a little generic, but the hot food is definitely well done.

Went in today to get information on pricing for party trays of food, staff was very helpful and explained things to us. We recently moved to the Falls from Mississauga and we needed a catering company for my daughters outdoor bday bash. I was referred to Antipastos by another catering company who was too booked to accommodate me. I called and spoke with Ali (who is a sweetheart, btw) and I hesitantly placed my order of penne a la vodka, the steaks, veggie medley and Parisienne potatoes!! Let me tell you…the service, food and quality is BEYOND exceptional. The penne a la vodka was the talk of the party. I’ve never tried a pasta so delicious. The servings were so massive that we ended up with so much food leftover and my family begged to take some penne a la vodka home. What a hit! I highly HIGHLY recommend Antipastos. We’ve decided to place a monthly order of the penne just for my kids cause that’s how much they loved it!! You will not regret ordering from them. They have a forever customer here!! ☺️☺️

I purchased their cabbage rolls. Absolutely horrible! NOT AT ALL EDIBLE! They should remove these from their store! I purchased 2 large trays and had to throw them in the garbage. Even the raccoons from the ravine would not eat them (I live on a large ravine with a lot of critters who come for food regularly...????) I placed 2 on my back deck before tossing them in the food recycle bin and they were not eaten by any critters during the evening. Their lasagna is ok. Even though is says meat, there is NO MEAT. It is tasty anyways. One more thing, they do not have homemade garlic bread. It is the type that is brought in from somewhere else in a bag. Not good for an Italian place. I moved from Oakville where there is an excellent place where everything is homemade. Overall, I am quite disappointed. I only come here for lasagna in an emergency situation or on a lazy day.

Mamamia, the quality of the meat here is underrated, the variants of ready to go meals are also underated! You will enjoy a ready-to-go meal here far more than you would at a fast food joint. The selection of cheese, the deli meats and fine cured meats, they even have Wagyu here, do yourself and your family a favor and stop by - check it out! This establishment is wonderful!

Expensive but worth it. They really need to think more of a way to incentivize new customers through means of samples since their product is so premium priced. It really is a shot in the dark without having any experience as a new customer. I'd recommend coming here after getting recommendations from friends or family so you can see what they like before you buy $8 pizza sauce. As per the actual food items everything so far I've tasted was great and super flavorful like the pizza sauce, sausages, chicken noodle soup, and pulled pork. Surprisingly since it is an italian store, I would avoid the pizza they make their at all costs. It tastes like it came out of a Delissio box.

I used to love their sandwichs. I do enjoy them still but you can totally tell the difference from the original owner ro the new owner. My favourite sandwich is the eggplant panini. The original one was stacked with delicious eggplant a good amount of cheese and sauce, now it's a minimal amount of eggplant a giant slab of cheese and minimal sauce. If you are craving a good Italian sandwich they have what you are looking for.

There is a grocery dept with" homemade" frozen from fresh pastas sausage, meatballs, lasagna etc. A bakery and deli. Antipasto is wonderful wood, served by wonderful people. Hard to find fault with anything here unless you went it trying too. They do catering which I've heard from countless people that it is cheap in price and delicious. They also have a deli witheats cheeses and so on. A grocery type section with Italian style cuisine and cooking prep. And a large area for banquets.

Antipastos recently catered my wedding in August and we LOVED them! We placed our order over the phone and the staff was very polite and extremely helpful in advising us how many platters we needed based on how many people we had coming. Great selection of ready cooked food and Italian dishes. On Sunday at lunch time they weren’t too busy, which was nice. I ordered the chicken stir fry with rice and veg. The chicken is honey garlic and delicious and the veg were relatively good. My partner had penne in pasta sauce with meatballs. The meatballs were ok but the pasta was old and dried out. It has likely been standing for too long after cooking and wasn’t fresh any longer. The choc mousse dessert tart tasted like plastic, but once I chucked the crust and just ate the filling it was okay. All in a bit of a disappointment after everything I’ve heard about the place.

Fabulously great experience with Antipastos!! This food was delish and tasted like Mom spent hours in the kitchen .... which I didn't!! I had my family in from across the country and wanted to enjoy my time with them instead of cooking, so decided to have our early Thanksgiving catered by Antipastos. EVERYONE was impressed, had happy full bellies and I had time with my guests that I normally wouldn't have had. Of course, and you would expect the food arrived on time, warm and ready to serve. We ordered their Turkey meal (real pieces of turkey in gravy, not sliced processed meat), mashed potatoes (to die for) and roasted potatoes, garden salad with lots of chunks of tomatoes, cucumber, onion slices, etc. (came with their own branded bottle of salad dressing), stuffing both bread and sausage, fire roasted veggies (asparagus, full mushrooms, zucchini chunks, red and yellow peppers) and an amazing dessert tray with assorted squares of treats. Needless to say, I will DEFINITELY be ordering from Antipastos again .... and again .... and again!!

Home made pasta need I say more. We love their subs, penne and meatballs, even their Italian wedding soup..great variety of food. Call ahead for pick up is great for work lunches. We have even had them cater. Yes they have made mistakes but when they have I have called and they have corrected/compensated, unfortunately this occasion there was a problem, we received a wrong item but I will definitely return back, everything else was great

I'm actually quite amazed at the good reviews. My past two visits have been dismal. They served the driest veal sandwich I've ever tasted. When I asked to make it extra saucy the gave me cold sauce on the side. The other than bread was toasted the veal cutlet was cold and tasteless. On a second visit, my daughter got gnocchi, which were acutally quite good but the portions were far smaller than what I've got in the past but still great flavor in the sauce though. What really cemented that I won't ever go back was the mold on the creme brulee. Calling it a creme brulee was a bit of a stretch to begin with but I could not over come the mold that was growing on it. Albeit, we should have looked at it more closely before we left but it does make me wonder how fresh their food is, if they are willing to let a creme brulee sit long enough to develop mold. Definitely not the pride of Italy.

Used to be amazing when Dom owned it. Since the portion sizes have become much smaller, the prices have increased, the quality has gone down and we've now been sick twice after eating here. They claim focaccia is fresh every day but we've had sandwiches that could be used to fill pot holes in the road.

We are from Pennsylvania and had the had been invited to Antipastos in St. Catharines for a family and friends reunion. I was very pleased with the great food, and service at Antipastos. The sauces were homemade, the workers were very pleasant, and the owner, came around to make sure everything was excellent, and it was. They also made their own pastries for desert, which were wonderful. I talked with the owner a bit and found out that they also make items for those people who are diabetic and gluten free, which could be very helpful if you are planning and event in which some of your guests have these food restrictions. The dinning hall itself was very nice. I would guess that it can comfortably fit 175 people, though we had much less. Also, their were many window around the dinning hall, with curtains, so if you are having a photographer at you event, it could possibly help with the lighting to get better photographs. I know I may never get back to Antipastos, because of the distance, but we had a great time, and they did a great job. Outstanding!

Dropped by here to grab some lunch today, Aug 25 2020, while staying at Nokara Farm cottages. Good selection of freshly prepared meals. I am a vegetarian and enjoyed eggplant parmesan and the Buffalo style cauliflower. Seems like a popular place judging by the lineup. Has a small grocery section with frozen ready to eat meals and also Italian condiments. Bakery is separate with desserts and breads.

It is both a grocery store with Italian products and frozen lasagna, cannelloni, cabbage rolls, etc. and a fresh food area where you can buy dinners, paninis, pizza, vegetables, etc. and eat it there or take out. There is gluten free food and desserts. And catering. Free parking, handicapped washroom. Definitely worth a visit.

This is our go-to Italian grocery store in the Niagara area. Great selection of Italian food products along with prepared meals and a fabulous deli. They have a take-out service featuring fantastic sandwiches & pizza slices. The desserts are magnificent and worth the extra calories. A visit is time well-spent!

Egg plant amazing. The gnocchi frozen in sauce not so much. It just turned out to mushy. Next time, will buy the gnocchi frozen without sauce. Meatballs are pretty good. House salad dressing amazing. We also bought cabbage rolls, haven't sampled yet.

This place was once great. However now than Dom is no longer running it, it is going downhill. We had a celebration of life for my grandfather on Saturday, my mom place her order ahead of time for it to be delivered to the hall. The first problem was their delivery service, the guy came in and said he would need a cart to bring the stuff in so we got him 2 carts and brought them outside, he opened his car doors and trunk and had me and my sister unload it ourselves when we should have been visiting with family. Fantastic delivery service, they do not have. Second problem, my mom asked the guy for the total it was $387 so she handed him $400 and he pocketed it without saying oh let me get you change. So my mom said to him, oh there is $13 left out of that and then handed him some extra for a tip. Third problem was we ordered a FULL tray of meatballs and a tray of meatballs mixed with sausages, when we opened the food to put it out it was 2 trays of meatballs and sausages mixed together. This was very unfortunate as some people attending the celebration of life do not eat pork, including myself. My mom called through to make the complaint about the driver and that her order wasn't how she had ordered it. The lady on the phone was very rude, and said well we use a courier service to deliver and that she would call them to let them know the problem with the driver. The lady who my mom was speaking with asked my mom if she got her whole order, my mom replied yes but not the way it was ordered and the employees response was "well you got your order". When we put out the food everyone asked where it came from and we said antipastos and then told them about the problems with the driver and the order and they said they would not order from there. The hall that we had the celebration at said they would tell people having functions there not to order from antipastos due to the issues we had. Very very crappy service on a $400 order, your staff was ignorant and your business should look into another courier service for deliveries as the one you are using is not very professional

Call to see if they had squid ink pasta. First time I got the answering machine. 2nd time young lady didn't know what it was and was transfer to someone else .Lady puts me on hold and said they have 6 packages and the order coming tomorrow I asked for a case and was told that would not leave 6 package the ones that were on the shelf. Horrible customer service I was there at the counter rang the bell 3 times and no on came The sign said riing bell. 7 staff on the floor and they were stocking shelves. NOT customer service, The woman at the till was ignorant to this all and did not call anyone to help me with pastries. A young girl walked byand said 1 minute ,,, she never came back. I had Antipastos cater for a dinner meeting for the Port Colborne Optimist club. I will absolutely have them again! The level of service was incredible from start to finish. Sara and Cindy were wonderful to deal with in choosing the menu. They were professional, very helpful and friendly. The gentleman who delivered the food was very courteous and it was delivered on time. Our meal was delicious! We received many compliments on it. Thank you to all involved! Take pride in what you do, cause you all are amazing when it comes to customer service!!

Saved our event with DELICIOUS food!! We unfortunately had a chef cancel last minute for my parents' anniversary party. I called Antipasto's at 3pm on a Saturday afternoon and told them the situation and that we were supposed to be having dinner between 5-6pm that day. Whoever I talked to on the phone (I forget her name) was amazing, and gave me a list of things she could prepare for us in the 2 hour time slot that I was giving her. We ended up with fresh bread, 2 salads, penne and tomato sauce, meatballs, chicken parmesan, and a delicious selection of desserts. Thank you for being so reliable and accommodating!! Highly recommend Antipastos.

After going to Antipastos for many years I have recently been very disappointed with my overall experience lately. The last 4 times I have been there, they have been out of cheese lasagne 2 hours before closing time. But even more than that the prices have increased significantly. They have priced themselves out of the market for an inexpensive alternative to cooking. For these reasons we will most likely not be going back.

We had antipasto a cater our "50" th wedding anniversary last weekend.Lasagne,penne,and meatballs were good. However,complaints on the sausage. Casing was tough and meat had gristle. Seemed cheaply put together.

Have gotten food from here for years. Our last experience was not so good. My daughter ordered a piece of veal, which they forgot, and while eating a rice ball I found a short piece if hair. Needless to say my meal was done. I spoke to the manager, who wanted a picture and Was going to look into the matter for "quality control". That What's a month and a 1/2 ago when I've never heard back. I understand things happen but its more the lack of resone, and no real apology. Also found prices high on some of the food. Won't be buying from here anymore!

The evolution of this business in the last few years has been outstanding. The previous owners laid a foundation of great food at affordable prices. The current mgmt group has done an amazing job beautifying the space giving it a clean modern look. They have also introduced different non traditional food ideas. Normally I would give Antipastos 5 stars but today they get 2.5. I have been using their services for many years for luncheons and events for my doctors and I shop there personally for my family. In late December I bought the 2L Wedding Soup $18.99 which I love, and it wasn’t to expire until February. Last week I opened it and right away knew it had turned, possibly it wasn’t sealed properly so I had to dump it all. Today I mentioned this to the cashier, she checked with her manager who said there was nothing they can do if I didn’t have the jar. Who keeps the jar! It went into recycling. I get that people will try to scam businesses but at the very least they could have offered a loaf of bread or a store credit as a show of good faith, they clearly do not value repeat or loyal customers, it would have been nothing for them to replace a $20 jar of soup or some equivalent. This is not Pusateri’s Fine Food in Toronto, this is our local community grocer who normally has very good food, but today bad customer service. The cashier by the way was sweet and apologetic.

Shockingly bad customer service. It took about two weeks to get a hold of somebody to talk about catering an event. I tried to call on multiple days at different times, no one picked up the phone ever, so I left a voicemail. I still wasn't hearing back so I called again, got to speak with a real person from catering and was hung up on mid sentence. I called back a minute later and there was no answer. Finally a few days later, after I had given up, I got a call back in the middle of the day, I answered and was told that information would be sent to me via email. A couple days and 3 phone calls later she got my email correct finally to send me the catering menu. I am fed little bits of information at a time about their menu options, costs and hidden fees - I give up. The lady running the catering portion of the business doesn't seem to be all that interested in any business at all... I think I would rather pull out my own teeth than continue to try to place an order here.

Awesome catering service for our wedding. Food was great and the portions were huge-we had lots of leftovers. Pricing could not be beat either! Was the best price and high quality. Servers were absolutely incredible the night of the wedding and made our clean up so easy. All we had to do was load the boxes up! They set up,served and cleaned everything up. They were friendly and professional. Definitely relieved a lot of the stress and made the event effortless for us. Would recommend to anyone catering an event.

Bought the meat and ricotta cheese lasagna. It was so bad, no taste, the only meat in it was grissel . I actually gagged on the dinner. My mil took 2 bites and pushed her plate away, my husband kept looking for the meat. We won't go back. What happened to the great food ? You use to serve wonderful food.

i've used Antipasto's for years (family functions. catering for work and personal shopping). For some reason, I can no longer get service at the meat counter, take-out counter or dessert counter. Staff will look directly at me and then proceed with other jobs for as long as fifteen minutes without even acknowledging that I'm there. The meat counter has several people working who will be busy wrapping products and other jobs, but don't offer to help me. Last week, I waited 10 minutes, went and did some other shopping, came back and the staff looked at me and walked away. I shower regularly, brush my teeth, and smile through my mask and, when I returned home, I even looked in the mirror to make sure that I wasn't 'invisible' - it all seems like such a senseless way to lose a loyal patron who really enjoyed your food.
