My experience with sobey’s has been pleasant over the years. So far I have noticed that the end of life products have been going from the full 50% off to simply a dollar or two off. I would really appreciate it if the full 50% would come back. Thank you.

I have been going to this store for almost one year. The reason I go to this location is I have to get a cab to and from this Sobeys (because of health issues) and because this is the closest grocery store near me my cab fare isn't so bad. The reason I'm giving it such a poor rating is because there hasn't been one time that I've gone there and could buy all the things I needed. I'm not talking about one or two things from my list, I'm talking half of what I needed. I'm tired of getting rain checks and having to get cabs back and forth there more than I need to. Today I went there for Big 8 4lr Water (because it's buy one get one free) and Arm and Hammer Cat Litter. There wasn't any. I mean they know what specials they are going to have and why do a bogo sale when they don't have the items in stock? I've gone there so many times and was really let down by all the empty shelves. I pay for a cab there and even though I can't get what I need I have to get a cab back home. I think this looks bad for Sobeys. Since I started shopping there I have asked people if they shopped there and I was told by quite a few people that they just gave up going to Ropewalk Lane because they never have the items they have in their fliers. I think if they valued their customers more they would make sure that stuff was there when it's on special and there were no more empty shelves.

I shop here regularly over the past year, and don't have too many complaints. The change in layout recently has been a bit frustrating, and not too many international food/grocery items. Otherwise, very good place to shop. Lots of options, good, competitive prices, they have sales on lots of items regularly, and always clean. Nice, friendly staff as well.

This is a 24 hour grocery store which is awesome. sobeys has been my go to grocery store since i moved out st. john's. Great selection of produce and usually have all food in stock. Great deals and savings every week and is a partner with Air Miles!

I find that all of the Sobeys that I visit, never have enough check outs opened, even if the store is busy, leaving for long line ups resulting in a long wait, especially if there is a problem with an item that someone is purchasing. Not an ideal situation if you are in a rush or for some other reason. For example; if you have some medical disability or some other problem that prevents you from standing for long periods of time and/or for the elderly!!! But one issue that extremely bothers me as someone who has a disability, is the impatience that the person behind me has and shows it by continuing to bump me with their cart just to rush me along to get out of the way so that they get checked out. And the same impatience with the cashier's. You don't have time to put your bank card or money away before they're checking someone else out. I can't tell you how many times that I have had to go back to the store to look for something that was left behind because of this problem and in the mean time, it has disappeared by then and I would have to purchase it again and/or go through the trouble of getting a new bank card and the such. Sorry Sobeys but it is not worth my while even going to those particular Sobeys store's to go through all that I have to unnecessarily because someone else is terrified that they may never get their chocolate chip cookies and because some cashier dislikes their job that much............. And I have shopped at Sobeys for year's......

I Love Shopping at Sobeys on Ropewalk Lane a lot. I just wish they were opened 24 hours again. Its simply missed in the City as with how big St Johns is , its an advantage in all ways especially people who work at "different times" around the City. But the prices of my food is way beyond my budget so no matter where I shop I have to pay astronomical prices.just wish there were more gluten free foods within my price range

The Sobeys on Ropewalk always feels somehow 'less' than most of the other Sobeys in town. They have less stock on the shelves and less selection on general. They are good if I'm in the area anyway and need to pick up a few groceries, but I prefer the one on Topsail for selection and variety.

My wife and I primarily buy our groceries here. Produce is always fresh and the layout is familiar across different locations. We have never had an issue correcting any mistakes on our receipts and they always have the good coffee on sale. Thumbs up.

Too expensive to shop for students or low income families, in my opinion. Sometimes you will get on sale items but it's not often and the deals aren't always great or worth the money. In my past experiences, I've dealt with extremely rude customer service and judgemental looks for once picking up a gift card.
