My secondary grocery location. Generally speaking I like the vibe, layout and upkeep of this location more than my primary grocery location, but the prices are typically higher and it's farther out of my way to go here. However it's location to the Canadian Tire, Car Wash, Gas Station, Food establishments make it a semi-regular trip.

So I was in sobeys tonight. All good up until I got to the cash. The young guy at cash rung us through and we were left packing our own groceries. Still all good. I thought it was a new covid measure. Until he started sending other people through, ringing up there items. So now there's food items on our food items. The other customers are now shoulder to shoulder. So we ask the guy "are you not helping because of Covid?" He says "no I thought you were just going to do it yourself" not the first run in with this kid. Do better...

One of our small town supermarket. Sobeys in Oromocto is staying true to their brand and is just like any other Sobeys. But you are in New Brunswick therefore you are sure to encounter courteous people and the isles risk of being less busy than you are used to.

I will say that I went here initially because of its location and I needed a Sunday cut. It may be a bit more expensive for a cut than some of the other spots in town, but I'm sure it is quite comparable for more detailed cuts. As for my barber, great guy. Very personable and really enjoyed chatting with him. I didn't mind paying a few extra dollars for the conveniences and the service. I'll be back. Thanks.

Sobeys in atlantic Canada are trying really hard to improve their experience. It still feel like a big chain: the produce and meat quality is low; the cheese selection is poor and expensive; and there is way too much unhealthy edibles, but this particular Sobeys has the best layout/ shopping experience of the ones I visited in Atlantic Canada exept for the few along the Quebec border.

Seems a little expensive and their selection isn't very great. If you need the basics it's okay but there's not much more than that. Seems that they're often out of stock of simple things as well. I couldn't get tuna steaks, paneer or mango. There's been a couple times where I've gone there then had to stop at a different grocery store because they didn't have what I needed.
