Out of this world vegan ice-cream. “Dark matter” is the winner for me, but they have a wonderful selection of flavours to satisfy any palate. The interior of the store is a nice hangout when the weather isn’t flash and the owners are beyond welcoming!

The best waffles ever! All GF and vegan (and I do not need to eat either! just overall, amazing waffles). the ice cream was delicious, and the flavour choices are out of this world, but to really top off the experience, the owner was so kind! We had amazing customer service. all around 10/10, would (and have already) recommend to everyone!! :)

Awesome place. The owner is a cool dude, the place has an awesome vibe. Everything on the menu is gluten free and vegan. The waffles were crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, the toppings were not too much and not too little. Highly recommend this place.

Such a great addition to Nelson ???? the owner is so friendly and all their creations delicious - we've had the apple pie and pumpkin pie and both were home made sensations that will make your day better ❤️ can't wait to try everything else ????

A little gem in Nelson - just off Baker st, the main street for little shops. There are many good vegan dessert options here, like the waffles, sundaes, and smoothies. I got a waffle with cacao nibs and coconut milk whipped cream that was refreshing and just sweet enough.

This ice cream is delicious (no wonder you can get it in stores in the region!) and made with a coconut base so suits vegans/plant based diets as well. They also have hot drinks like coffee and smoothies. The owners were very friendly and let us sample ice cream flavours to help us choose. Calm, lovely atmosphere with plants and small seating area. Go and enjoy!

Best ice cream in the Kootenays!! For all vegans, this is an absolute must. The team is awesome and the ice cream is delicious!! Highly recommend the tasty toasted coconut???? You can stay cool and sit inside, or enjoy the sun on the patio - both are adorable. We love these local beauties! ????????Local tip - there’s almost always parking on the street near the Oso so it’s a sweet stop before or after shopping and/or the beach ☀️Definitely recommend this special spot to all ice cream lovers!!

So much scrumptious goodness, I don’t know where to begin! Big Dee’s small batch ice-cream is deliciously rich and creamy!! They always seem to be coming up with exciting new flavours, too! And they make ice-cream cakes, too!! I’ve also tried the salted caramels, toasted marshmallows, and macarons! Sooo good! The macarons are “a little taste of heaven” and beautifully packaged for gift giving! Lots of great choices if your bringing the family in for lunch, too! Loaded hotdogs and smokies with lots of yummy sides!! You’ve gotta try this place ... START THE CAR!!!

I LOVE BIG DEE'S. Such a staple in my life/the life of the neighbourhood. Whatever your dietary consideration or restriction may be, there is something for you there. Everything is homemade too! I am never not impressed by the artistry the staff put into their work- it seems there is something new and handmade there everyday. Just a creative, funky, deelightful little spot to take yourself and your friends to :)

Artisan ice cream. At first I was like whaa, $8 ice cream sandwhich? But then soon entered an alternate universe where everything in life became better with each individual bite. Its like that scene in pulp fiction regarding the $5 shake (which was actually expensive at the time, because inflation). My Travolta moment was when I realized that this was obviously made in-house with top notch ingredients. Pistachio ice cream between 2 spectacular cookies? Yes please. Oh and my girlfriend likes it cause it works with her nutritional sensitivies. No this aint your Beyers made in a giant factory 5000 km away and upheld by unpronounceable ingredients. If that's what you're after than might not be for you.

Really wasn't a fan of this place. The ice cream was watery, everyone in my group felt the same, and the hot dogs were nothing special, especially for the price.

Was recommended the strawberry funfetti ice cream sandwich and it was not good. Weird after taste and too sweet. Cookie part had that frost taste to it. Was probably stuck in the freeze for a while. Tried other flavours like the original and mint chocolate. They were okay. Original is probably your best bet if you want a GF and vegan ice cream sandwich. Please remove the strawberry funfetti from your menu. Service was nice though and decor is very cute.

Celestial Scoop is a supernova of a cafe with a great ambience. Where else in a small town can you have a gluten free waffle made to order and topped with vegan ice cream also made in house. An assortment of space themed flavours, fruits and other toppings are available. Our favourites include the maple meteorite and chocolate dark matter…but I hear mango lassi may be coming. Go check it out, your tastebuds and friends will thank you. It's truly out of this world!
