Tried the lasgna. Let's start by saying instructions on package are way off to cook thawed. More like 1hr-1h20 @325. My guess is their oven temp is off. The sauce was spicy. Not kid friendly. Also lot of mushrooms which might be a pro or con depending on your taste.

tl;dr Go somewhere else - or be very critical of your order before paying. --- I had been to this butcher a number of times in the past without issue, however I was attempting to get a cut for a hotpot recipe and as such knew it may be more difficult. So my FIRST question when ordering was if they could do the thickness (2mm) that I needed, as this was crucial. They indicated that typically other cuts of meat are used but did not indicate that they would be unable to do this for this cut. I returned a few days later to pick up my order and question the size, they indicate that its super thin. Upon looking at it later I return indicating that I had asked for paper thin/2mm cuts and not 1cm that they provided. Their response was that with this cut of meat they couldn't do the size I had requested, they did not offer a refund or an alternate cut of meat, they instead only suggested I use the meat in another dish. Given I was dealing with the owner, I fail to understand how they accept an order they know they cannot fulfill without being explicitly clear to the customer that they CANNOT do what you are asking. Had they demonstrated any amount of uncertainty in how they could do this, I would have been able to tell them how. In this case I guess the customer just loses $60 to a cut of meat they didn't ask for. It took another butcher 15s to understand what I was trying to make and assess whether they had the tools to do it.

My wife and I have been going there for two years, and have yet to have a bad experience; the staff are very warm, and friendly. The meat is relatively cheap, fresh, and delicious; the frozen, or fresh meals are amazing, and still cheaper than eating out. Their bacon, sausages, pickles, pork chops, shepherds pie, lasagna, and anything baked are to die for.

Quality meat for sure, bought the steak omg to die for, cooked very nice and was tender, I also buy the liver, i love it, they take the time to remove the excess skin around the edges, now that's customer service, my husband buys their smoked fish all the time he loves it. And the meat pie is to die for excellent. Always friendly when we go there, well worth the money for quality food.

A good friend of mine and myself have been moose hunting together for many years. We’ve had the pleasure of harvesting many moose together with which we take great pride in feeding to our families. Unfortunately last year our long time butchers retired. Left to Find a new butcher we were led in the direction of B and D meats. We’ve always taken great pride in how we field dress and clean our wild game. Unfortunately to our own regret we are extremely disappointed with the service provided. We were misled in the amount of time we should’ve hung the quarters and when they received the moose they were very hasty and unthourough with their processing of the animal. There was a lot of meat left on the bones. Poorly cut , packaged and the labelling is almost unidentifiable. If he understood what it takes to harvest a wild animal that is considered a delicacy maybe he would’ve taken more care. Extremely disappointed... Never again. I wouldn’t even trust him with certified meat.

Just had a moose cut and wrapped. Asked for 7 equal boxes all of approximately 1.5 lbs packages. Got a 7 boxes varied from 20 lbs to 30 lbs. Wrapped pieces were fromade 2 to 4 lbs. Everything was shoulder roasts or burger. Weighed 400 lbs going in got back about 200 lbs. Hmm. Heaviest bones ever I guess. Never again.

Found this gem a few years ago and I have been going ever since. Quality products and excellent service. Love the bear sausage and smokies best place to get your wild game cut and processed. So glad I found these guys.
