Selections are good. Prices are fair for the quality. Frozen items a touch on the pricier that should be realm. The parking is terrible and the place is a little challenging to get to with traffic. But it is worth the drive and effort when I am in the area. The staff was super friendly and very accommodating to my needs and requests. Wish there was a bit wider selections of bread. It's not a bakery but a choice would be nice and would have saved me another trip to another store on the way home.

We have been shopping at NJS since Frank opened the first shop on Lorne Park Rd. Now firmly established on Mississauga Rd., one block north of Lakeshore Blvd., Frank and his excellent staff continue to provide superior and delicious food. In addition to the finest cuts of beef, veal, pork and chicken, NJS stocks a selection of wild game plus fresh-caught fish such as salmon, always on ice. The hot table, loaded with a variety of home-made dishes from many cultures, is always stocked with hot and delicious complete meals--enough for a party or a quick lunch for two. Don't forget the catering and delivery service--order anything your heart desires, from hot sandwiches to fully-catered meals, and it arrives at your door, steaming hot, delicious and ready to eat. My Dad starting bringing me to this butcher shop back in the 90's, back when they were still on Lorne Park Road. It used to be (back when I was younger, of course) such an interesting place to be. Back then when I was only about 5 or 6, I used to love going and spending time with Frank and his late father (who founded NJS!) for hours with my Dad; I used to organize the jars that were out on the shelves, in terms of colour of the label and made sure the label was facing front (I was a very... different child.) Later on in life, I decided to become a vegetarian, which, I'm not entirely sure why, as I'm not anymore. During that time, my dad still shopped here religiously, every weekend. While he shopped, he developed a great friendship with Frank and his father, to the point where my dad's trips there were often over 2 hours long. Not because he wasn't served promptly; he was and still is! He jut loves hanging around the place, because the vibe is very laid back, the prepared meals smell and ARE amazing, and it's just all around a great place to be. In terms of quality... Not Just Steaks is UNMATCHED. Honestly, what are you doing if you're buying your meats from Metro or Loblaws...? Do you enjoy chewing on tough meat for 16 minutes before swallowing? Do you like bland & mundane flavours? Are you really admitting to being that boring? Yikes. Do yourself a favour of treat yourself to some NJS. Not only do they have a huge extensive collection of readily available cuts of meat, but they have more in the back to get custom cuts (see: The Garry Cut**), if that's what you're after. They have fancy cheeses, dips, spreads, crackers, pasta, and a selection of fresh vegetables, and drinks too. Don't feel like meat? No problem, they have you covered for "pre-made" frozen dinners, like Curry Chicken, Lasagna, Cannelloni... I guarantee that if you stop by Not Just Steaks, it'll be your Not Just One Stop Shopping for the best meat/food in the Port Credit, Clarkson, Lorne Park area. **The Garry Cut: Not for the faint of heart or for someone who gets full after 10 minutes into a meal. Garry, my father, genuinely has a certain specific type of cut dedicated to him. Why? Because no, my father doesn't just get a regular cut... he insists on a cut of steak nearly 4-5 inches thick. I'm not kidding. Stop laughing. Stop not believing me. Go to NJS NOW; and ask for The Garry Cut. They'll know. Only a few people have tried and succeeded, but my god, The Garry Cut is a monster, but is so delicious. The Garry Cut. You heard it here first, folks. 10/10 NJS. Love you guys.

The name says it, Not Just Steaks. They have a great hot table with food cooked (not warmed) on site. They also have a great selection of frozen meals that you can take home, also prepared on site. And speaking of steaks, they have organic meats and dry aged steaks. They also have other quality dry goods. Mike and Jorge are almost always there and they’ll be happy to take care of you.

Decent meat, horrible service. Owner is not pleasant and needs to train the kids that he hires. The young man who served me didn’t wash his hands between taking out trash and touching my steak- didn’t even take out his ear buds while serving me. Also proceeded to wrap steak and fold it over in the paper. When I got home the cap had fallen off my rib steak and meat was ripped off the bone. Not the only time I’ve received unprofessional service from this place. Will shop elsewhere.

I've never had a bad experience here. The butchers are all friendly and knowledgeable. This is the only place in Mississauga I've been able to reliably find skirt, flat iron, flank and brisket and at a fair price. They'll also grind and cut to your heart's desire.

I’m a big steak guy and I purchased the best Tomahawk I’ve ever had at Not Just Steaks. Since then I have discovered a ton of other fantastic cuts and drive from Oakville to visit weekly now. Try the marinated jerk chicken thighs, coconut lime chicken, Korean short ribs and famous burgers. Most importantly, Frank is an honest guy with a ton of experience and a really friendly personality. They got a customer for life in me.

Frank sells the best meat in Mississauga. Every special occasion I pick up the meat from Not Just Steaks. I just celebrated mother's 85th birthday and picked up a small Prime Rib that was incredible. The service and quality of the food here is second to none.

This place has some of the BEST cuts of steak, and the price point is amazing. I went in for burgers and ended up with marinated flank steak, port shops and sausages. The seasoning was spot on, and honestly some of the nicest and most helpful staff. I live a good 25 mins away and will drive down every time, as opposed to any other place because they because you get a terrific product and top notch service. We look forward to coming by soon and picking up more meats and they also have nice cheeses and other staples. By far surpasses any other butcher near or in port credit!!

Absolutely amazing place! Super reasonably priced meat. Very high quality and delicious. They will never sell a bad piece of meat. If you are a meat eater and love meat then go there. They have it all. It's my go-to place for meat. Always delicious! Whole store is kept super clean and well organized. And I have never met such a level of customer service. People working there truly enjoy what they are doing and will go above and beyond to help you. No words can do this store justice, please you owe it to yourself to check this store out. And they don't only sell meat. They also have super rare drinks! I can just ramble on and on about how amazing this store is, but my advice is just to go there for yourself to experience it.

Ironically, we went to get steaks... and then we picked up everything else we needed for dinner as well! And, the steaks were fantastic! The staff was very present and helpful. This was our first visit and we'll definitely be back! Everything in the picture, except the seafood and the Hollandaise sauce, came from that one visit!

Great place owned by great people. The butcher/owner was super helpful picking out tasty rib eyes and offered to season them for us. They were delicious and went back and will keep going back. You don't get this type of service or feel going to Loblaws! :) Tried the already marinated jerk chicken thighs and made some sandwiches. Perfectly marinated. Tasted amazing. Grabbed a burrito to go once too and even that was delicious !

First time I have ordered from Not Just Steaks for a Thanksgiving dinner, I ordered Butternut squash soup, scalloped potatoes Turkey breast in a roll with no stuffing , stuffing on the side harvest vegetables and gravy, I ordered this for 15 people . I was pleasantly surprised it was amazing, the turkey was the tenderest we have ever had the soup everyone kept asking me if they can have the recipe. Will be ordering again for sure. Can't wait for Christmas. It was a nice not having to cook and be exhausted by the time my guest arrived... Thank you so much to Not Just Steaks...

I've stopped supporting the big stores ie. Metro, No Frills etc and started supporting the little mom and pop shops near my area. I'm glad I did. I have never eaten a great steak till I went to this place. All their cuts of meat and poultry are Canadian farm raised . Always fresh. This is a great steak shop for all your needs especially when you have that last minute BBQ you wanna have almost everything you need is at hand. They also carry fruits and vegetables and little treats to please everyone.
