I would give this place 6 out of 5 stars if it weren't for Alex the grandson that is very disrespectful . All my experiences with Doug have been exceptional. Has been very understanding in tough times. Unfortunately Alex has made me feel very uncomfortable which makes me want to not go there anymore.

This is an old fashioned real butcher shop , the way it used to be. Where staff can answers questions on what to buy, The steaks looked so good but I was staying an a hotel on my visit . Next time I'm bringing a cooler. P.S. Beware the Steer on the roof.

This is a real Gem of a butcher shop. From properly aged beef, fresh chicken to straight from the lake- trout & walleye..it's all good! Every thing is preservative free, fresh and tastes great. Try the free range eggs,steaks and bacon! This is not your chain store!

Love this butcher shop!! Meats that are not full of hormones and antibiotics are important to me, for my family. Also if you want something that Doug doesn't have he will get it for you, always going above and beyond. Thank you Doug!!

Deli section was disappointing. No salads out, yet was told over the phone they had a variety. The only dill pickles they had were bottled dills. The bread was the same as you get at any grocery store deli. The European packaged rye. Nothing out of the ordinary. I could buy just the same, if not better at any local grocery store. To bad. It has potential.

Owner was very rude and Kurt, especially when asking for advice on what size of prime rib and portions I need for a special dinner was planning for my father. What was also weird he had his dog walking around inside the butcher shop which was unusual, stick to Foodland or Loblaws the quality of meat is a lot better

I bought tomahawk steaks and striploins. All were more than reasonably priced & the tomahawks may have been the best steaks I’ve ever had! The owner was friendly and went out of his way to be very helpful. I’ll be back for sure

Old fashioned family butcher - and I mean that in a very good way. Whenever I want something for entertaining and I want to be certain it will be good I go here. Doug will order exactly what you need if you plan ahead, really knows his craft and provides excellent advice.
