Winkler Farmer Sausage leaves my taste buds dancing. The box of Idahoan Au Gratin Potatoes has a recipe where I include the sausage. I call it my "special" meal and only make it occasionally so it's always a treat. To my surprise, one day I purchased a package and it was a new flavour; Spicy. Although it's not bad, the taste caught me off guard and I'm really not a fan of that flavour. I've had a string of extremely bad luck the last couple of weeks so today I decided I needed my comfort Winkler Farmer Sausage casserole. People were standing right in front of the cooler at Safeway where the sausage is displayed. Not wanting to disturb them I just reached down and picked up a package. As soon as I brought them into the kitchen from the BBQ I could smell the aroma - I picked up the spicy ones. I was so upset, my first reaction was to just throw them in the garbage but I can't afford to buy another package and don't have the time to go back to Safeway and then cook them. PLEASE change your packaging so we can tell at a glance which one is which.

One of the best farmer sausages in western canada. Steam in shallow water till cooked then wait till all water is gone, roll sausages in juice.

I have been buying the Mini Farmer Sausage for a few years and love the flavor. I would like to know if there is anyone out there who is finding small pieces of bone in them. I broke a tooth from biting on a piece of bone in one of the sausages. I have found small pieces of bone in the mini sausages a number of times.

The people could definitely be more friendly and prices are a little high. Good products though.
