Today I called asking for a delivery and not only they delivered the same day but they brought it all separated is different packages and all I had to do was put it in my freezer! THANK YOU! Everytime that i come to this store i never get welcomed properly there meat quality is not nearly as good as Westerns meats plus everytime i go to Western meats im always welcomed with smiles never at Kohns meats i will never ever go back to Kohns meats ever again bad service bad quality i already had over 2 dozen people going to Western meats and they all love the place and the quality and i see now why Westerns meats has been best meat market for what like 3 or 4 straight rows in London so yeah that says alot goodbye Kohns meats goodbye

Last month will be the last time we ever order from here , we used to have a friend pick up for us all the way from windsor. The meat is quality but the business is shady. We ordered there 250 dollar package because it's well worth it , it used to be 225 but with all thats happened and in today's economy we can understand prices going up. What we can't understand however , is being told our full total was i believe some where in the 260-270 range with taxes. Then, when our friend arrived to pick up our order she was then told i was 290 !? Because it doesn't count as a package order anymore everything was price individually. They failed to tell us this when we ordered. The order was still paid in full , and we had to of course pay back our friend . We didnt inconvenience them by cancelling then and there, but we will not be back. If they'd been honest from the beginning this would be an entirely different review. It's just disappointing.

so happy Kohns moved to Fairmont Plaza. This is a long standing community butcher with staff that really know their cuts of meat and go out of their way to make sure you get what you want. their hamburger is lean and freshly ground. i have bought and been very satisfied with the steaks and chicken, back ribs and roasts and while they are a bit more money than the supermarket, I like that I am supporting a local business. I always feel welcome and appreciated here, not to mention the meat is local and excellent! try the pepperettes- reasonably priced and a favorite of mine.

Been going to kohn's since I was a kid the meat is always quality but the price is usually high I always go here for prime rib roast for holidays their meat packages are pretty good too if you have a lot of freezer space too (I don't :( ) New location is very key especially since Egerton and Trafalgar was always ripped up for the past few years. It's bigger and better.

Generally a fan of this butcher... has good selection of cuts from pork, chicken and beef. I really like the pepperettes they have as well. One item however has caused my wife and I some consternation is the bacon they have lately sold. Approx 1 month ago, my wife purchased 2 packages of their bacon, froze one pack and kept the 2nd for more immediate use. We used some of the bacon for the next day, and found that once it started cooking it had a **VERY** unpleasant smell of pig urine which nearly drove us out of the kitchen (go to wikipedia and search on "boar taint" for some background on the smell) .. My wife called the butchers and they were very pleasant about the issue, - the person on the phone noted we were not the first who have had this complaint, and would be more than happy to replace it with a new order which they did without complaint. Again, however, our next breakfast cooking was met with the same smell and my wife called asap and was again offered a refund if she desired. We have no complaints about the service, but I would think twice about buying bacon here until they sort out the supplier on this as it seems there is an issue there.

the meat may not be organic, grass fed or free of hormones, and antiobiotics, and maybe a few such choices might be added. but the owners here do everything they can to satisfy their customers. very knowledgeable and willing to share information, a rarity among butchers these days. if you have international tastes and are looking for hard to find cuts, try them: they probably know much more than you would expect.

The New York Strip was very nice but our T Bones were difficult to cut even with Henckel steak knives. My wife just attempted to cook some chicken thighs an failed to do so because so much water come out that they became submerged. Not going back there anytime soon.

Arrived at 5:20 after making sure they were open until 6. Had driven from Westmount area. Was told that they could not cut the pork chops I wanted as they start cleaning at 5 and will not be using any equipment after this time. Employee stated that they would be there til 8 if they didn't start then. I had also planned to buy steaks but bought nothing due to this service. Perhaps they should state this on their website or close at 5.

I bought two t-bone steaks to celebrate my birthday on Dec. 31 (76 today). 36 dollars. I broiled them on our gas bar-b-que to medium rare, 5 min one side, 3 on the other side. Sat down to enjoy our meal only to discover our steaks were like trying to chew on shoe leather. Very dissapointed.
