I had high hopes for this butcher shop based on reviews I had found and how long they had been in London. Although the quality of meat was fine the butcher was unable/refused to cut the meats. I was unable to purchase the quantities I need. Ex. I was hoping to get around 250g of Flank steak and they were only willing to sell me almost 2 pounds ($15).... I will not be returning

The owner is blantantly RUDE and lacks business ethics. Shouldn't be in business. Not recommending and definitely NOT coming back. Avoid this meat shop at Covent Garden! No stars if I could. What a shame!

Disappointed with the service. Used to be my go-to meat shop downtown. However, the owner refused to butcher the chicken for me, saying his SAW was dirty with pork and he would have to clean it, then cut chicken and then clean it again! Who butchers chicken with a SAW! And moreover he adds "You are on your own". Saying a straight no to a customer on a Saturday morning... not the smartest. If it was closing time or so, I still understand! The kids who work there have always given me great service, but thanks to the owner, I am debating over if I should continue going there!

Excellent sausages! I love this place. The people are very polite and helpful. I do wish they would take credit cards, but understand that the fees can make that difficult for a small business. Be sure to bring cash or your debit card if you plan to shop there!

People in the review section have left bad reviews based on chris’ personality and it’s clear that those people have never met somebody So sarcastically humorous. Great guy. Great humour. vendors were wearing NO MASKS (seen on October 1st). Given this is an indoor market and the bylaw is in place and they are handling food I find this extremely problematic.

Meat is good, But customer service is lacking. Read another review also had the same problem I go to a asian butcher and would ask him to cut the pork ribs I cut because they come from a culture where certain dishes require the ribs to be cut a certain way. Not just thrown on the rack like the north American way. And was given a dismissive look and said go home and cut them your self. Also was the owner who told me this. If people are paying your rent you should treat then a little better. It's not like they are the only show in town.

New to London last year, we've found a fantastic butcher in Chris' Country Cuts. Absolutely perfect pork tenderloin roast at Christmas, and an excellent sirloin party steak this past weekend. Both times, we ordered a few weeks in advance. Chris and the staff are extremely knowledgable and helpful -- and also fun to work with. We'll be back.

A long standing business in the convent Garden market. A nice location and friendly staff. I was able to find harder than normal to find cuts of meat that were inexpensive. Definately a place to check out and see what they have to offer

A great shopping experience from the best voice in the butcher business. Chris consistently provides high quality products to satisfy any need. Hit him up early for custom orders and definitely try the sausages he prepares in-house. If you want to throw an excellent barbecue this summer for family and friends, meat from CCC is a lock. An aside: Chris is a heckuva teacher, instructing at the the culinary school at Fanshawe.

Very Disappointed!!!! Early November, I went to Chris' County Cuts (meat shop in Covenant Gardens) & placed an order for pig tails. The clerk, who I believe to be the owner, took my order. I also asked that most visible fat be trimmed off. His comment back to me was "that's the best part". Laughing I said maybe for you but not for me. He wrote the order up with my name & phone number with the comment "TRIM". The clerk then said to me that I would not hear from him again unless there was a problem getting the tails in. So a full month went by & hearing nothing from the shop, I went down today (Dec. 14, 2018) to pick up my order. I was told that there was no order in. He commented that "she" mentioned an order but it never was processed. I said "she", no it was you I ordered from. His comment back was "Then I must have lost the order". Very disappointing!! My guests who are coming for dinner will be disappointed as well as I had talked up this menu for over a month. Well Chris's County Cuts - you failed your mandate & I won't be back. One major goof & I don't forget.

I've been a customer of Chris's for over 10 years now, and this is definitely the best place to buy meat in London. His dry-aged steaks are significantly better than what you can buy elsewhere! Chris and his team are also great at accommodating special requests, and offering advice on cooking and sizing. Their sausages (made in house) are also excellent and very reasonably priced. I would recommend this shop to anyone, be they a novice home cook or an experienced professional chef.
