Usually this place is really good, but last order I didn't go and they pulled a fast one on my mother. When I went to cut the meat for my soup, I quickly found out they sold her last week's leftover trash quickly rolled in some nitrites. Currently debating whether or not to totally avoid this store. Listen you know what you did. My mother isn't smart enough to spot nitrite usage. And you think we won't wonder what's going on when the center 90% of the meat is all purple and blue? You shouldn't sell that to anyone. If it's old, throw it. Is your reputation worth $40?

I love this butcher shop! Everyone is super friendly, polite and helpful. Their meat is top quality. They even have aged steak, Kobe beef... The price is high, but fair. If you sign up for their loyalty program you earn points and get updated when they change their weekly specials every Thursday. The specials are pretty good. I don't use this butcher shop as my regular day-to-day butcher, the price is a little high. But when I'm entertaining guests I only serve meat bought there. I like to stock up on burgers and sausages when they're on sale and freeze them.

We mostly buy frozen meat to feed our dog. We occasionally by Turkey or steak for a treat for ourselves. We wish they had more organic, grass fed beef here. We don't eat meat often but when we do we opt for organic grass fed from local producers. I'm surprised there isn't a whole fridge section devoted to this. I'm sure it would sell well.

A butcher shop with a lot of nice extras. It has the regular raised glass display case with cuts of meat. They also have a great selection of packaged cut that are ready for the kitchen or bbq. Today we bought these jalapeno stuffed pork tenderloin, $14 each. Along with the great quality are high prices which kind of goes with the territory. They also carry a decent selection of other items such as salad dressing, dips, desserts etc. Good if you're running short on time and don't want to make a lot of stops. The Dufflet cake was $14.49, a few dollars cheaper than Metro. Staff is great. Lots of free parking. Full wheelchair / stroller access. We don't shop here all the time but if you want a nice cut of meat for a special dinner it's worth it.

Very good customer service but the free range chicken breasts we bought today and barbcued did not have a good texture, taste, it had a mechanical like texture. We were very disappointed esp after the money spent for free range. I have had chicken from Farm Boy that was a lot better tasting.

It's a treat when we get to shop here! It's not a cheap place, but the quality and service definitely help make up for that. The staff has always been very helpful when making a meat selection and we love the ready-made food. We almost bought a pumpkin pie from here after tasting a sample, and I don't even like pumpkin pie!

I have tried many items from Bruno's and haven't been disappointed yet! Many of the items are large enough that my husband and I can split it. For the quality level of the food, the price is reasonable. I'd rather pay a bit more for great quality than pay less at a grocery store for garbage. Keven and Laurie are great! Went to buy rack of lamb, it was not trimmed of the fat cap and won't pay $29.99 a pound for the fat cap they should have trimmed. It was crowded with no social distancing at all. We normally spend a lot of money there on steaks etc.. but will not be back, not paying $29.99 for fat. Or unsafe overcrowded store

So I went back for a second try. Mistake. Don't know what these other reviewers are smoking but, Expensive, bought kabobs and souvlaki, meat was tough and dry, couldn't eat the marinated meats, too salty. Others were covered in bbq sauce that burned before the meat was cooked. Anything that was wrapped in bacon, the meat was cooked and bacon was raw. Waste of time and money. Not recommended.

Great selection. Deli meat is amazing - not salty and processed. Steaks, roasts are great, albeit pricey. Prepared meals are excellent and well worth it. Peameal is excellent and reasonable. Great butcher. Just wish they had a satellite store in Ajax!

Just an awful experience staff were extremely rude, I went in with my husband and and we were told that we cannot speak to each other and we cannot shop together. As my husband and I were discussing what we needed to purchase, a lady came up to us and said you need to step outside because you are taking 2 spots in the store instead of one and people are waiting in line outside. Both my husband and I left Brunos without shopping, as we stepped outside we noticed there was no line up,,, not a single person We will never go back again thats for sure !!!!

I have been shopping in Bruno's for years and never had a bad experience until today. I showed up with a co-worker that had never been to your store and I can guarantee she will never go back ( we showed up in separate vehicles and both wearing masks ) lined up outside until 2 customers walked out. We both walked into the store and was stopped by a employee at the front cash … She asked if we are shopping together, I said we know each other but shopping separately.. She continued to tell us that she needed to check with the manager to see if we are ok to shop in the store, then came back and said we could only shop separately. I again said we are separately shopping! .. We both stood 6 feet from each other but did talk about the food options. ( Did not see a no talking sign in the store) Apparently this was not okay with the 2 lady staff members because they decided to talk rudely about us out loud!! I could hear everything thing they had to say about us as we walked around the store. We both felt extremely uncomfortable. I always respect all Covid rules in stores and will follow correct protocol but we did nothing wrong and for some reason was attacked from the minute we walked in there. I have to say that the staff was very unprofessional and rude!

I don’t come into Bruno’s often but was told by another customer as I was leaving that the service is generally much better during weekdays when some of the more experienced staff are in. The products I were purchased were really good so it’s a bit of a shame. Guess I’ll make sure to avoid the weekends

Ive only bought meat there and its good quality. Recently I have ventured out into their pre-made meals and salads. They were all so good. The lasagna was excellent. I've had almost all the salads they sell. they are fresh and tasty. They are a bit more expensive but not that bad for quality. Other places that sell high end in Toronto charge a lot more. Happy they are in my neighborhood. Great place for week night foods when your busy, easy for kids to pop in the microwave.

Have gotten some really nice meat from here before, but spent $60 on free run chicken today...it had weird hard pieces when cooked that we couldn't chew, plus a ton of water in the pan while cooking. Feel totally ripped off. I'd also like to see pasture raised meat offered here. 100% grass fed, pastured beef would be a great addition.

This place is great. The meat is always fresh and great quality. The staff is really friendly and helpful. They have a person staffed at the front door to control the number of people going in and out of the store to make sure it is not overcrowded due to COVID. The meat is a bit more expensive than what you would get at a regular grocer or Costco, but the difference in taste is huge.
