I love this place! My only issue is that because the meat isn't vacuum sealed and is more natural (ie, not pumped full of saline solution) the microbes get to it a lot quicker, so make sure you use it or marinate it that night or freeze it! I have been 3 days + a couple times and lost my great food. :( That being said, it is 100% worth it, the chicken tastes like chicken and has texture and substance, the beef... it's so good. They are also the only place in town that sells pork belly, so if you want to make homemade bacon this is your place. I don't mind paying a little extra for something of this quality. Try the bison summer sausage. Do it. They also have a great dry goods section here they sell fresh pasta, spice mixes and all kinds of neat stuff!

Saturday of Thanksgiving weekend, and in search of turkey parts. The place was not crowded, parking convenient right out front. There is much more than just meat products here, and I was able to pick up a few other items, so that was a plus. They had a good choice of turkey parts that I was looking for, and the price was reasonable. Service was quick and friendly. A very good experience, and pandemic measures seemed appropriate.

Customer service seems to be alright. Products. I’ve only tried the rib eye a few times. Not a fan. Won’t be getting it anymore after tonight. I like the Costco rib eyes much better. The price is also about $7 per steak cheaper. And in my opinion Costco steaks are much better. Heritage is also expensive. I get it over head yada yada. But if you go there and buy everything you need for dinner for 4, you’re spending about $40+ more than if you go to a grocer. I really don’t see what’s so great about this place. They carry some stuff you can’t get at the super market. But it’s crazy prices. I’m single with no kids, and I make good money, but no way am I shopping here regularly. I’ll go broke.

Firmly disappointed in the quality of flavor in the meats from my last purchase. I used to stop in an pay the extra buck, but for flavor-less meat I can just stop in at Walmart. I'm disheartened and will have to drive up to Hopcott Farms instead, hopefully they still keep it up.

You get what you pay for, while Heritage Meats is not inexpensive, I have never been disappointed with a purchase. Their staff has always been friendly and helpful. They are my go-to store for special occasion meat or out of the ordinary ingredient purchases but they are unfortunately just too pricey for my day-to-day needs. They do offer a loyalty program and have monthly specials.

When you need that meat raised happy and free from Antibiotics and hormones. Lets also add the grass fed beef...and perhaps some wild meat like Elk, water buffalo ect...or a Kangaroo sausage. This is one of those still cherished butchers. You will also find many other unique deli items. Also some high quality soups or meals in the freezers. Some Gluten free including stocks and gravies. One of "musts" when I am blessed with surprise company!

Everything you want from a meat shop, even exotic meats. The butchers are excellent & have always been accommodating when I have made specific requests. There Deli section is top notch, the in house chef makes dishes that one can purchase frozen come home, pop in the oven & it's dinner time. Best of all, at Christmas, I ordered a 2.5 white/dark Turkey Roast, a tray of fresh stuffing & a container of gravy. Picked it up on the 24th and made myself a perfect Christmas dinner. I won't even talk about all the products in the shop to make eating a flavour feast.

You can't beat their quality or service. Their butchers know their stuff and will cut to order whatever you would want. Great selection of spices, sauces, cheese for the foodie. Their prepared food and specialty is WAAAY beyond most places. Downside ...it's pricey BUT I keep coming back and if you're looking for fantastic quality, selection and service...well priced is way back in consideration ????

Haven't been here since it opened. I was not impressed years ago but thought I'd go inside again..... And I'm ecstatic that I did! Each and every employee said hello when they saw me. I was asked 'do you need help finding anything' by more than one person and it was so nice to hear the employees laughing and talking to each other and the customers! The stock in the store is out of this world! I was so impressed with the quality and selection of the dry goods.... When I saw the meat and deli selections I was stunned! I can hardly wait to go again. The tenderloin I purchased was exquisite and my husband loved the bison salami and ground bison. Looking forward to returning. Thank you so much!

My go to place for all meats, ham, frozen entrées, without sulphate and preservatives. They also sell home made salads, dressings, and fixings. You might find it a bit more expensive but their quality is great and they carry lots of specialty items.

Came in for beef and the butcher was extremely helpful all the staff was friendly. Walked out with pork belly, buffalo jerky and a ton of intention to buy here again. Dealing with Heritage Meats was interesting. I am grateful I can afford them. Make sure you are clear on what you will get. I got 90 lbs of hamburger, 4 rib steaks, 2 prime rib 3 lb roast, 2 brisket, and soup bones for $1080.00. That really is over 10.00lb for hamburger. Note to mention, be clear on your communication. They understand what they think you mean, not on what you mean. And then will tell you it is your fault. Expect to pay TOP Dollar. Inspect the product before you pay for it. They wanted me out the door so that I would not see what I actually got. Get everything in writing because you may not get what you expect. In the end they tried to make this right and made it worse. Lesson learned.

This place is amazing. If they had produce available, it would be what a real grocery store would look like if we all ate healthy food sourced from local farms all the time. Not only that, the staff are amazing at customer service. I’ve been there twice since moving to the area 3 weeks ago, and the first person also gave me other options to find high quality meat in the area. Lots of stores don’t offer alternatives because they have a scarcity mindset, and this woman was more than happy to serve me on that level, and I didn’t even ask her about other places because I was excited to have found this one. These guys will earn my money when it comes to my buying meat as I live in this area

Just bought a a dry aged meat over 5lbs today. And this lady from the meat dept. kept on yelling like I dont understand what she’s saying. I told her which side of the meat i want. That meat cost like close to $40 a pound and she yelling and doesn’t want me to choose which part or side I like. Lots of hatred came from that fat lady not deserved to be there. Heritage Meats is the best butcher store I have found in the area. They actually cut their own meat in the store, some from whole animals delivered every week, instead of from vacuum-packed primal cuts or from an off-site factory butcher. The quality is excellen, definitely a cut above good grocery store meat. If you want a large cut or something unusual, you only have to speak to the butcher ahead of time, no problem. They make their own value-added products, and they have a great freezer section full of more exotic stuff. The centre aisles are full of gourmet specialty items, as well. The customer service is excellent and the store is very kid-friendly too, with mini shopping carts and ladybug-shaped chocolates offered by the cashier to good little kids. Heritage Meats is my first-choice meat market in the Surrey/Langley/Abbotsford area.

Heritage Meats hits the mark on quality and earns a 5 star review. I grew up in a farming family that raises grass fed, happy and healthy animals so I know what good quality meat is. Most stores sell meat that is unethically factory farmed and highly processed (particularly with chicken, it almost always contains injected additives to plump it up and add weight so that you pay more for fillers and water). Not at Heritage Meats! The selection is vast and everything is very fresh. There’s also pantry staples and spices available so that you can fulfill many of your kitchen needs in one go.

It's the staff that makes this place good. If you know what you want you can talk to someone knowledgeable behind the counter and get something cut to your liking. I prefer my ribeye cut from the chuck end. When I ask for that at some other places you get the deer in a headlight look. You pay alittle more but at the end of the day a good cut of beef isn't cheap and a cheap cut of beef isn't good. If your going to whine about prices go buy hotdogs from nofrills, if you don't mind spending alittle more for quality go here.

Bought 3 rib eye steaks from this location. The cuts were uneven and the quality of the meat was not at all what I expected for almost $30/steak. I called and spoke with a rep who kindly apologized but I wouldn’t recommend buying the rib eye at this location.

Staff is always super nice, helpful and attentive. Love their selection of sauces that my wife and I have never seen in regular stores, not to mention their meat. I made their back ribs and even despite being my first time making ribs the meat quality is so good it was impossible to make them anything but delicious. The double smoked bacon is my favorite, and I'd much rather spend an extra dollar for the high quality meats they have where I know it's from, havent been disappointed and looking forward to getting more ribs!
