We've been coming here for years. From the time you walk in, you are greeted like family by the owners of this amazing little soup and sandwich spot. We don't get to go often, but it is wonderful to return and have your named recalled directly as you walk through the door, as though you never missed a day of visiting with them! To hear Michael boast about the pride he carries in the quality of meat they procure; and to see the amazing Montreal or O'Canada Sandwiches, stacked so high with meat, the first bite will make you cramp your jaw to get your mouth open wide enough. Or the simple roasted red pepper soup, bursting with delicious flavours. Even down to the smallest detail, they make their own pickles, is enough to tell you that they care about your experience when you visit Estrella's. I highly recommend this little sandwich shop, the meal you get will surprise your senses, and have you returning soon for more.

While the restaurant itself is small the flavours packed in the food are big. It is a Montreal style deli, and that means smoked meat. The first thing that hits you as you walk in is the smell of the smoked meat. Try it, you will not be disappointed.

Just a little hole in the wall and my wife and I went in at lunch time. Busy little place, lots of people in and out. We didn't have to wait long for our food. We had the Classic Montréal Smoked meat sandwich and the Reuben and shared fries. Both were excellent. Dijon mustard was hot. You can order lean or marbled meat for your sandwich. Will definitely go back

The coleslaw was authentic Montreal style (I was born and raised in Quebec), and the smoked meat sandwiches are the best I've had since moving to the Lower Mainland. The pickles are great too. It's in a bit of a strange area, mostly industrial and trades. A hidden gem in Langley. A little bit pricey, though, but worth it.

The best smoked meat sandwich anywhere period. Great people too. I go way out of my way to eat there. As a matter of fact, I make a point of timing my trips to Langley so that I can have lunch at Mike's. If I can't time it right, I wait to have lunch until I can get there even if it's four in the afternoon - the smoked meat is worth waiting anytime. Tried somebody else's smoked meat but Estrella's is still the best hands down. They just can't be beat. I only regret not being able to get there more often.

Visiting Schwartz in Montreal was such a highlight of my trip there, (Hotel fridge was constantly stocked with smoked meat) I thought I’d never get to relive it again. Discovering Estrellas was one of the best things to happen so far in 2020! Told everyone I knew, and now we make a point to stop in Langley in the weekends to grab a sandwich or a panini as a treat. Took a second to find the door: the signage is unassuming compared to the surrounding businesses. Very worth the effort though: i really appreciated the choice between lean and marbled and the clarity about the size of a small (6oz) vs a large (10oz). I'll be making a point of stopping in any time I'm in the area.

This is the real deal when it comes to old school deli sandwich. They have the best smoked meat in the Lower Mainland, comparable to the best in Toronto, Montreal and New York City. Their signature Montreal smoked meat is made in house and available in marbled or lean. My family and I always order the marbled in a Reuben with dijon... YUM! Their coleslaw is good too (but not as good as Moishe's...sorry.) This is a bit of a hidden treasure but I'm sure the locals like to keep it that way as it's always busy.

Was told by a co-worker to go there to try the Montreal smoked meat sandwich. I finally went there on Friday and was looking forward to it but honestly I wasn't impressed. The young woman who served me looked miserable and had zero personality. The sandwich was way overpriced for some warm deli meat between two slices of wonder bread. I think I'll stick with a foot long subway when I crave a sandwich. Or better yet, buy a pound of Montreal smoked meat at the deli and a loaf of bread and make my own at a fraction of the price!

I have been on the hunt for the best poutine in the Lower Mainland, and THIS IS IT. By far the best gravy, which is - in my opinion - the hardest thing to get right when it comes to poutine. So good! My uncle gave me a gift certificate back in November. I didn't rush over because I'm rarely in the area, until last week. The staff was very nice as I came in at closing and they still made me a few sandwiches. I get it now... Those two sandwiches were so good, they definitely left a good impression on me. It was just a sandwich, but the ingredients were so good and fresh, other sandwich shops are ruined forever. I'm actually a little disappointed that I hadn't gone sooner now that I know what I'm missing.

Had the Rueben for lunch. Absolutely delicious. If you're a fan of meaty, deli style sandwiches this is the spot for you. Atmosphere is nice and staff are friendly, however it is a small restaurant so it can be a bit tricky to find a seat.

For those living in western Canada - this is the place to go to if you crave for Montreal Smoked Meat. It is not as good as what you get from Montreal and those famous restaurants, but here in Langley you can have a smoked meat sandwich almost as taste, plus the portion is bigger. Nice balance of meat and mustard. Pickle is also good but not very sour.

The food here is great but the service is absolutely terrible. I’ve been here twice and both times the staff was not overly friendly. The back of house staff was arguing with the front of house staff and they were all running around looking so overwhelmed. The second time I came I ordered ahead and was told to arrive at 1230, when I arrive the front cashier asked the back if my order was ready, the female in the back very rudely responded “it’s not even ready yet!” Then “it’ll be at least ten more minutes” I have zero issues with waiting but the way it was communicated and handled was not very welcoming. I doubt I will be back in the future. It has been an uncomfortable experience with the staff both times. It seems as though they have overwhelmed themselves with too many orders and cannot handle the volume. They clearly need some extra staff or to max out the number of orders they can take at once.

I literally cannot rave enough about this place. As a transplant from the east coast I've really missed my poutine and Montreal smoked meat sandwiches, they're just not the same here, even if you can find them. This place though, the owner is from Montreal herself and imports the stuff directly from her contacts there. Real cheese curds with the best gravy. Kosher pickles and real Montreal smoked meat. I can honestly say out of all the places I've been for deli and poutine, this is top five easy. Every time I'm in Langley, I try to make it out here. It is a little pricey, but don't let that turn you off, it is totally worth it!!! I'm hungry now....

Delicious Smoked Montreal style beef brisket. Normally, I don't like Montreal beef sandwiches, however this is one is a winner. They use Angus beef to create this mouthwatering beef sandwich. The meat was tender, melt in your mouth and you could the beef with a spoon. The flavour is not overpowering like other Montreal style sandwiches I have tried. The one I had was the large sandwich called the Montreal at $15. You can order smaller size sandwiches such as the Petite at $7.50 and the Classic at $10.50. And there is a humongous one called the Canadian at $19. For the sandwich they use a very thin rye bread which I didn't like that much since every bite, the bread would stick to my teeth. It was also layered with some delicious Dijon Mustard. It paired very well with the meat. There was so much meat that I took some home and made myself another sandwich. You can also order some sauerkraut and make it into a Reuben sandwich. Service is prompt and friendly. They are a bit pricey, but once in a while is worth the 15 minute drive from work.

I give them a FIVE star for the food for sure !!! but sometimes , like sometimes the lady behind the counter is not very nice to us , not sure if its my cologne or my smile but i find her, like not happy that I'm giving her my hard earned money , so I try to be extra nice just to make sure its not me, thats not working, so I chalk it up to maybe we dated years ago and she's still mad, I meant to call. obviously i'm kidding everyone has a bad day. the sandwiches rock and i love it there. If you are into Montreal smoked meat ( very similar to corned beef) you are going to love this place! The six ounce sandwich with sauerkraut and a full pickle is more than enough for the average adult. However, if you are starving, try the 10 ounce! I warn you...you probably won't finish it! Wonderful!

Their smoked meat IS delicious, but everything at the shop is way overpriced. If you want to factor cost into the equation, you're better off grabbing some deli meat from your local superstore or safeway and making your own sandwich that will be almost as delicious. If factoring taste alone then it obviously comes above something you can buy from a supermarket and put together.

Delicious, homemade quality food. Unbelievable Roast Beef made in house! Any roast beef sandwich is to die for. The Montreal Smoked Meat is also done in house, and they cut the meat to your liking, ie: lean or fatty. The best Reuben I have ever had in my 50 years of life. The Homemade soups excite the taste buds, are made with hearty basic ingredients, and leaves you completely satisfied. As an alternate to the soup you have to try the unique homemade chili. It is not overly spicy, which is great, because it has the perfect balance of chili spice and smoke. Plus it is loaded with their delicious Montreal Smoked Meat, which might strike you as an odd inclusion, but it works! I could eat it every day. There is a complexity to the flavour profile while simultaneously being simple and comforting. On top of the great food, they have reasonable prices, generous and filling portions, and let's not forget the fantastic friendly customer service. You can not lose by eating at/from Estrella's.

Still delicious we all love roast beef sandwichs , but I wouldn't go until pandemic's over, facial mask is obviously not mandatory here, both staffs and customers. I was waiting for my order while the cashier boy cleand up one table, after two customers has finished their dining, And he didn't use any disinfection at all????, which really upsetting me.

This used to be the place to go for smoked meat sandwiches, but now it seems they have raised their prices while lowering quality, more like deli meat. I honestly felt pretty ripped off paying almost $17 for a sandwich that would have been so much better if I had just made it at home. I think it might be under new management, unfortunately not all corners cut pay off in the end! Won't be returning. Edit: trying to tell me the experience I had was somehow incorrect is pretty sad customer service. I have been coming to this establishment for years, you can say whatever you want, it still sucked, and that's not due to an inflated cost of labour, attacking my review doesn't change that.

We drove to Langley just to try the famous Montreal smoked meat. We ordered the large one and it did not disappoint. Lots of meat and the sandwich is so much for 1 person. Give it a try and you will like it. The only problem here is the parking as there isn't much. You will have to go around the area to find a spot.

Wow. I'm not one to stray from ordering classic foods as its usually disappointing. I tried the Montreal Smoked Meat Chili and it was awesome. Excellent staff ! Customers coming and going were mostly regulars. I'll upgrade them to a 5 if its consistent on my second visit.
