I was billed for lamb heart and red kidneys at a price of $ 20.99 / Kg while just opposite c $ 14 / Kg same finding for the liver and chops at $ 28 / Kg. In Montreal we are a fairly large Algerian community, many try to get out of it by opening a small grocery store and small butcher shops, I try to encourage the best I can by buying certain products from one and other products at the other. L’une des plus anciennes Épicerie halal à Montréal, le propriétaire Ami Aouchich (El-Hadj) a fait beaucoup pour la labellisation du halal au Québec et on le remercie bcp. Pour les prix c’est exorbitant on passe presque du pareil au double pour le même produit vendu dans deux commerces différents et qui proviennent du même lieu d’approvisionnement. J’ai été facturés pour du cœur d’agneau et des rognons rouge au prix de 20$99/Kg alors que juste en face c 14$/Kg même constat pour le foie et les côtelettes a 28$/Kg. À Montréal nous sommes une communauté Algérienne assez important, beaucoup essaye de s’en sortir en ouvrant de petite épicerie et de petites boucherie,, J’essaye d’encourager du mieux que je peux en achetant certains produits chez l’un et d’autres produits chez l’autre. "Toi Tassili ne change pas la recette de tes merguez" PS: un vieux client des années 2000 ;)

(Translated) The Tassili butchery is a real find right next to Jean-Talon Market. Being a vegetarian myself, I can only appreciate the quality of their lamb by its smell when my wife cooks it. I always throw myself on every opportunity to visit places because there are all kinds of good pastries Maghreb as sweet for the eyes as for the stomach and delicious Berber breads. There is the best merge (according to my children since unfortunately they are only chicken, beef or lamb but not tofu). Butchers are very nice :) (Original) La boucherie Tassili est une vraie trouvaille juste à côté du Marché Jean-Talon. Étant moi-même végétarien, je ne peux apprécier la qualité de leur agneau que par son odeur lorsque mon épouse le cuisine. Je me jette tout de même sur chaque occasion de visiter les lieux puisqu'on y trouve toutes sortes de bonnes pâtisseries maghrébines aussi douces pour les yeux que pour l'estomac et de délicieux pains berbères. On y trouve la meilleure mergez (selon mes enfants puisque malheureusement ils n'en font qu'au poulet, boeuf ou agneau mais pas au tofu). Les bouchers sont des plus sympathiques :)

Not sure I was given the minced lamb I asked; it tasted more like porc, but was charged the price of lamb...it's not like lamb does not have a distinct flavour and fatty texture to it, not to be able to make the difference :(

The products in the butchery at no cost, their minced meat I find it perfect no fat just perfect bcp ... for general food products I like to buy Elmorjan and Bimo products from time to time. The prices I would say it's okay it's correct :) not expensive. I highly recommend (Original) Tjrs contente d'aller acheter chez eux , pour une Algérienne quand je vais chez eux je sens le parfum de mon pays l'Algérie , la Nostalgie (Nostalgérie). Les produits dans la boucherie sans frais , leur viande hachée je la trouve parfaite pas bcp de gras juste parfaite... pour les produits alimentation générale j aime bien de temps à autre acheter les produits Elmorjan et Bimo. Les prix je dirais ça va c'est correcte :) pas cher. Je recommande vivement

I went there 2 weeks ago. The service was very slow, prices were more expensive than other meat stores, plus they were not displayed so I had to ask every time for the price of the meat I was interested in. I bought Merguez, beef meat and a slice of Lamb Liver. To my surprise the Lamb Liver was $25 /Kg, very expensive. I was shocked. When I asked them why the butcher said the prices have gone up. This didn't make sense as the prices have gone up for everything but this doesn't justify this huge change. Sure enough, the following day I went to another Halal Butcher and the price of Lamb Liver was half of what I was charged here. I will not go there again
