Pricey, but the meat I have bought from them has been mostly good. Except recently I bought a wagyu steak for 60$ and it tasted...off, sort of...rancid. I'm not saying it was unfit to eat because I didnt get sick, it was just...off and I couldn't finish it. I think it was the fat, which is the whole point of a Wagyu steak. I had never tasted Wagyu before (this was Autralian not Japanese A5) but I always imagined it would taste more buttery, and less like old bacon fat. Now before you say I messed it up in cooking I did it sous vide and after pulling it from the bath seared it both sides for only a minute each. After resting the outer edges only had a slight hint of grey and the rest was perfectly pink, so it wasn't overdone. Wagyu shouldn't taste like that...should it?
