Had lunch here today. Had been before but this time staff appeared unhappy and experienced a feeling of my friend and I bothering them. Maybe they were exhausted or yelled at. I for sure felt the tension. It was after 2pm so rush over. Food was okay Has gone up in price as every thing has. Not sure if I would return.

Amazing value for the Pork Schnitzel sandwiches or foot long hot dogs if you're craving a savory bite for lunch. Deli meat is also fresh and well priced. Variety of bbq meats readily available. Great place overall!

First time I went I got some packages of meat, salami, beef jerky etc. All very very good. This time had a sandwich too. Also had some fries. Roast beef sandwich was delicious and the fries where very good. We also got some sausage for the BBQ. Can't wait to try them. The prices can't be beat. This will be a regular thing from now on.

A hidden gem that has been our go-to for hot and delicious Montreal smoked meat sandwiches for years. Their new location is absolutely beautiful and the layout is accessibility friendly. But don’t just buy sandwiches, be sure to stock up on pepperoni sticks and sausages, too. Craving a vendor sausage? Look no further, because these sausages are far above your average sausage cart. We boil ours briefly and then BBQ the remaining time. They even sell the yellow buns there, too, so it’s a one stop shop. You won’t regret it, this place offers quality food and exceptional service.

Love coming here for lunch! They have great sandwiches. Gotta have it with the pickle on the side though. They also have great chilli too. Honestly, everything here is good. And cheap too. I highly recommend coming to The Great Canadian Meat Company for anything. It's all good stuff!

Where to start.... We bought sausages from here to BBQ and they were the best sausages I have ever had aside from street meat carts. My wife, kids and I sat in for lunch and the sandwiches and fries we got were amazing. The fries deserve an extra mention as they are worth the trip alone. Staff was friendly, prices were more then reasonable. If your in the area treat yourself and go for lunch.

First time back since the renovations, Wow!! Big space, with place to sit and enjoy a delicious sandwich, schnitzel or Fries. Much bigger space with beautiful atmosphere. A few things you can buy here : A wide variety of Deli Meats, cheese,pickles, breads,hotdogs,sausages,jerky,soups and a ‘From the Kitchen’ section. Fantastic Renovation with more options, and great food... Great prices too.

Great place for lunch and by the lines here most people in Whitby would agree with me. They have recently renovated and there's lots of seating to stay in and eat. Lots of deli sandwich options and you can get a Iunch combo with soup or fries and a drink. I'm a repeat visitor.

Appt for 11. 7 skids. Lineup.... Took almost two hours. Staff was quite friendly but it's a very small space and to have two 53's was not very forward thinking. (Even if one was only a day cab) Appt scheduled need to be maintained and ALL deliveries need to be kept to that schedule.

They sell sandwiches there and these sandwiches beat any other subs restaurant I have ever been to. Huge amounts of freshly cut meat, out-of-the-oven bread. Tastes delicious. Service is good and quick too. Last weekend we had tried their burger patties. I am not a burger person, but they were gorgeous!

This is a hidden gem. I went on refferal from a colleague and I was not disappointed. I do not give out the coveted 5 star rating very often but you people should be proud of yourselves. Quick service above average food ample parking for your vehicle outside and butt inside. With the amount of staff that works behind the counter you'd assume that it would be chaos but that couldn't be farther from the truth. They operated like a well oiled machine consistently executing their individual tasks with precision accuracy. Bravo ????????????

Delicious lunch meat sandwich combos. Both hot and cold sandwiches. Regularly order the corned beef on rye. Lots of room to eat since the renovations. Still expect a wait to eat as they are always busy. They offer meat for sale as well, and also have a rotation of soups depending on the day of the week. The fries are nice too if you're craving carbs.

Found this place while cruising the Net for Delis near Oshawa. Read the reviews on Trip Adviser and decided to give it a shot. After an hour and a half drive leaving Fenelon Falls, pulled into the lot with ample parking (1:30 pm) and entered the Deli, which is a well laid out sandwich shop. I understand it gets quite busy around lunch and I can see why. My meal was 1 large smoked meat on rye and I'll admit it was so good I had 2. My wife had the schnitzel on a bun, which left drool marks on her chin. We used to go to a well know deli in Oshawa, but no more. This will be our new go-to place. There is limited seating, a large number of efficient staff, very clean decor and washrooms, and yes it is laid out like a real deli, steamers, slicers, variety of bread and unbelievable prices. When we told our table buddies where we were from they freaked, but they agreed it was worth the drive. Find them on Facebook, there is an extensive menu. Highly recommend.

This truly is a great Canadian meat company! They make awesome sandwiches with a good selection to choose from. Good service! Come here for the lunch special - small or large sandwich with soup or fries and a drink. Get the fries - perfectly cooked and seasoned fresh-cut Yukon Gold fries! I normally get the Montreal smoked meat or corned beef on a white Italian bun with butter. For toppings, add their homemade coleslaw! My favourite coleslaw ever! The meats are quite lean so the sandwiches don’t feel heavy. It’s just too bad that this place closes at 6pm on weekdays and is closed on Sundays.

The food here is so good. The staff are very friendly and greet you with a smile. Even though they are very busy they always seem happy and attentive. The only drawback is that at lunch it's very busy and the lineup for food is long. It moves fairly quickly though because they seem to be very efficient. These guys know what they're doing!

I have been working across the street from the GCMC for almost 9 years and have been eating there just as long. They recently moved to a larger unit in the same strip and the new location is GREAT! There is seating available now and they also offer some fried goods such as schnitzel or sausage and french fries. They also serve a variety of deli meats offering them both as cold cuts or on a sandwich, standalone or in a combo with soup or salad and pop or water for a very affordable price. The portion sizes are excellent and the meat is always fresh and of great quality. I absolutely love this place and I always have. If you stop by sometime during lunch you will see that I am not the only one! The staff are friendly and efficient, the food is great, they offer take home goods such as frozen burgers, sausages, steaks, fresh buns, condiments and preserves. I cannot say enough good things about the Great Canadian Meat Company. I hope they never leave our street and I'm sure that is the general consensus. Don't just take my word for it, head over for a sandwich and you will not be disappointed!

This place is amazing! Can get really busy at certain times throughout the day but worth the wait. Fresh sandwiches with meat cut fresh to your order. Good amount of options for sides...their mac and cheese on Thursdays is to die for! Decent prices for all the food you get. My go to spot for sandwiches when in the area. Nice assortment of cured meats as well as sauces and frozen section too! You will not be disappointed.

A friend of mine took me here for lunch. Got a Montreal smoked meat sandwich, fries and a drink for about 10 bucks. It was excellent. I will be going back to try some other menu items. The fast food joints should be ashamed charging what they do for a combo when a place like this exists. Delicious! I'm so happy that I know about this place now.

Terrific value! Can get a hefty lunch for $10, and when I mean hefty, I mean hefty. The picture doesn't do it justice, and the burger is bigger in real life. Service was quick, and the burger was high quality. Salad was alright, I feel like you might as well get another burger since it's better value. Definitely would think about going to this place weekly! Oh, and atmosphere was clean, and modern, but yet rustic in some parts.

Above and beyond service. Food is always delicious, and reasonably priced. I suggest trying the frozen perogies to make at home, cause they also taste great. Packaging is always simplistic and recyclable. Staff are super kind and friendly. Its the most perfect deli joint in Whitby.
