This Butcher Shop is included in the category of Grocery store.
Best mix nuts na
Bountiful fresh produce selection, and delicious prepared food.
Hot prepped food excellent, bakery fabulous but grocery store had some bare shelves?
Nice place. The parking was a little high density but overall good place to shop.
Man, I love this place they've got anything you want or need
Love this store, it's beautiful. Most of the staff are really nice to interact with.
Such a beautiful store
Edit: 2021/04/28: Shaylah was great at The Cookie counter! Offered bags for our favorite cookie! THANK YOU! Definitely recommend and will be back! Über friendly staff!
Great selection of freshly made food and poke to go as well as space to eat there. Quality seafood at the counter. Good beer selection.
Awesome people who work here and the products are great. Best thing about it is it is open 24/7 unlike other larger retailers. A little on the pricey side but we'll worth it.
This place is always great.Enough of cashiers, well-stocked and well arranged shelves, available carts and baskets where you would expect them to be, and typically great prices. Best thing about this store is that they almost got everything.
Great selection of fresh and packaged goods, friendly staff. The prosecutor are higher than at some other supermarkets, but you're paying for that but of extra quality. Don't miss the bakery - they have some of the best cookies around.
This place has a great selection of unusual plants, as well as the more tried and true favorites. The plants look very healthy. Reasonable prices and a nice range of containers. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly too! 5/5 would shop again!
Friendly staff, great products, best grocery deli in the city. Needs a larger whisky selection.
This is the lovely market in Kirkland. It's a lot like a Whole Foods only smaller, more intimate and nicer. (Only 4 stars because like WF, it is spendy. Maybe not an every day grocery store for most people.) First off, the store is so visually appealing. Before you walk in the door, they have displays of seasonal fruit and vegetables, and then a lot of flowers! I like that the flowers are placed on multiple levels, in large buckets and arranged by color. Once inside, you'll encounter a rounded counter where they are often giving away wine samples or food to taste. To the right is a fantastic produce section, which in my opinion is better than Whole Foods because it has a lot more options. Again, everything is displayed so nicely, it really makes a difference. Throughout the store you'll find a large cheese section with a cheesemonger, as well as a meat & seafood section with a butcher. They have lots of packaged meats as well, which Metropolitan Market prepares in house, including some meant for one to two people. I think that's hard to find nowadays, it seems everything is packaged for a family of 4. Some of those packaged meats are also unique, such as boneless chicken breast but with the skin still attached. If you're in a hurry, you can grab that ready to roll instead of having to ask the butcher to do it for you. On the far west side of the store, you'll come to my favorite sections: the bakery and prepared foods! (Both of which are far superior to Whole Foods.) Let's start with the prepared foods... They have a salad bar with an amazing amount of choices, as well as your typical hot foods and sandwiches. But what takes it over the top for me are the roasted meats! In particular, their prime roast beef is a thing of beauty. While they can slice off a hunk for you to take home for dinner that night, you can also order up a French dip sandwich on a crusty baguette. They also have a soup bar but be sure to also check out their additional soup bar over near the seafood department, which often features some of the best clam chowder and seafood chowder I've ever had. I love that they have little cups next to each soup tureen for you to sample the soups before purchasing. Classy! On to the bakery... undoubtably the star of the show is the warm chocolate chip cookie display. At any given time there's about 20 of them on a heated platter, so they are always warm and gooey like they just came out of the oven. And these cookies are ginormous! At $2.99 a piece, they are worth every penny. Unfortunately they are also chock-full of walnuts, so if you have a nut allergy or are nut averse like I am, you'll want to skip them. Thankfully, there are plenty of other options. I suggest the Bakewell Tarts, but they also have croissants, huge cakes, and about a thousand other options from local bakeries (Midori Bakery!) and items they make themselves. The Metropolitan Market is just a fun, pleasing place to shop. And a great place to stop for lunch, especially because they have a bunch of tables inside or outside. I believe they also have a kitchen items store on the lower level.
Great selection, wonderful produce, delicious deli
I'm mostly reviewing the cafe at this Met which I always grab a caffeinated beverage at before heading down the street to see theatre at the Rep. They always have one staff member working hard but create solid fancy drinks and of course they have their famous THE COOKIE. I don't like sweets but they make those cookies fresh daily and they look so dang delicious displayed in the window that even I have been tempted a time or two ????.
Amazing upscale shopping! Their chocolate chip cookies couldn't be any better... Large, plump, full of chocolate chips and easily the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had
The service at the counter is fats and very professional. The products there in are very fresh and good quality.
This place is fantastic. They have everything you need, the store is super clean.
Well organized, great food quality and excellent service.
My favorite store ever, nicest people, best groceries, love it!
Everything tastes fabulous!
Just your usual grocery store
Starbucks is bottom shelf coffee in Seattle grocery stores.
Amazing store with unique items. Great cheese counter. Excellent hot soup. Beautiful flowers. Fun store!
So many unique products in this location, people working there are so kind and ready to help! Their coffee is the best and doughnuts melt in my mouth!
Visited at the suggestion of a friend as it's advertised as a 24 hour grocery store. Unfortunately, both times I've tried to visit (roughly around 1:00 AM) they've been closed for an "unforeseen staffing incident." I was willing to make the trek out twice but don't think I'll bother again in the near future. Being closed without warning once in a while is fine, obviously, but more than once in such a short time means problems.
They carry duck eggs!
Grocery department is amazing and helpful. Meat department is not very friendly and don’t acknowledge you! Everything else is perfect!
Love shopping for cheese and charcuteries here!
Simply the best quality food and specialty Grocery items available in my area. This is a special occasion trip for me, otherwise I wouldn't be able to keep my grocery bill within budget. But when I want something special, this is the place. Christmas Eve at our house usually involves crab cakes and salad, scallops and white wine, crusty bread, etc. This is where we fill the cart. We haven't quite built up to the Italian tradition of the feast of the seven fishes; I usually manage only four fishes, but his is where we get them. This year the menu was shrimp bisque, shrimp cocktail, crab cakes and scallops. Plus a few Fran's salted caramels as a stocking stuffer. No photos this time. You have to use your imagination.
Good people, very helpful.
Hands down the best grocery store in the area. They serve really good fresh food too.
Great variety of fresh foods, more than most other markets.
Overpriced and cashiers have attitude
Clinically well displayed and elegantly stocked in store ! I operated a 45,000 sq feet grocery retail cum warehouse business for 20 years back in London UK and travel many land and countries in my retirement visiting many grocery establishments around the world. Never have I met my eyes such exquisite management of shop floor with cleanliness, allure of fine products , arrays of seafare and freshly prepared food throughout the store. In particular your team member in the fresh produce department agreed with me how vegetables and fruits are so immaculate line up and neatly shelf to well heeled shoppers. Nice to meet you MetMarket since my married daughter moves recently in the neighbourhood and introduce such a gem to explore !
There's a horrendous screeching in the yogurt area that hurts my ears. It's been here for months - how can they force their workers to tolerate this?
This place is a mix between Whole Foods and your local QVC. They have a lot of local stuff, but they also have normal brands you expect at the grocery store. This could be a bad thing or a good thing - I personally like buying local stuff and have discovered some amazing brands by doing that. So, I give a slight edge to PCC across the street.
They will not allow people with medical conditions to shop their with a face shield on. I know where not to shop after this covid-19 is over.
Too organic for my wallet.Sticker shocked, again and again and again and again.......
Great grocery store, friendly staff, QUALITY produce and fresh food.
Look - my visit here was brief, but I have never wanted so badly to return to a grocery store a second time. The produce was GORGEOUS and much of it was packed in cardboard rather than plastic (berries for instance). I liked that a lot. Got some beautiful rhubarb here, and walked around a tiny bit. Looks like the lower level has kitchen gadgets and there is an espresso bar on the main floor as well. Floral department was not huge but the flowers looked a very nice quality. AND there were tons of non food goodies in end caps and such, which makes it a great place to find a unique gift. I saw lots of cool stuff but couldn't really take a leisurely stroll through the store as i would have liked. I plan to return and will update my review. It is very possible this grocery store is a gateway to heaven....
I like this market a lot. Clean and well organized. Open 24 hours. Fruit and vegetables here are obviously higher quality. The only thing I have some complain is the price. But you get what you pay.
Really great high end food court. You can never go wrong with their linguine alfredo
Always a clean store and friendly staff.
Cheese old. Salumi old. Whiskey pre-opened....sheesh.
This place is great. The employees hate dealing with rich people and I don't blame them; everything here is super 'spensive
Great coffee, really sweet staff. Bomb pastries.
Nice store, usually have interesting things, but check the freshness of their produce. Generally 20-30% more expensive for general grocery items. Prepared foods very nice. Have found good deals on tahini, vegan protein powder, and other specialty stuff.
Workers are friendly, short lines, easy parking, open 24 hours.
Great place for groceries. Upscale prices, but upscale quality. Their salad bar, deli, lunch counter, and heat able meal selection is not just easily accessible, but really tasty.
Wonderful selection of products. The prices are a bit pricey but the services are incomparable. One of my favorite stores.
CUSTOMERS BEWARE-got some Rainier cherries and the box was less than half full- the box has a high bottom and there were cherries only on the top. I think the presentation is intentionally misleading because at first glance you get the impression that the box is full. PRETTY DISAPPOINTING. I gave a 2 stars review only because the quality of the food in the supermarket seems good.
Incredible selection! Clean and friendly staff.
Best high end grocery store in town in terms of quality and customer service. The seafood and floral are the BEST in town and my must buy there. Seafood are top quality, super satisfied with their Kusshi oyster (super fresh, hard to find except in high end restaurants!). Floral designs are always tasteful with unique flowers. This store always carries nice European cookies and candies as well as fine local flour. If you plan to get high quality grocery, this is absolutely the store to go!
I want to like this place way more than I do. The staff is awesome and I really like their coffee, but that’s about it. It’s very pricey. I’ve been twice to get dinner from the hot deli and twice I’ve been disappointed. I don’t know why but I guess I assumed for the price the food would be high quality, maybe even small batch made. That is not the case. The fried chicken is so dry, the Thai wings are flavorless, the prime rib is tough, the quinoa is bland. The greatest disappointment though was the cake from the deli. I haven’t seen a hummingbird cake West of the Mississippi ever, so I was excited to try it. Well it was just sugary boxed allspice cake, which is NOT hummingbird cake. I’d rather they didn’t sell it all. Anyways I only go for their chocolate chip cookie and coffee. Everything else is such a disappointment.
Great local market. It is a little hirer in price than other markets, but the quality, especially the produce and bakery, balance that out.
This Met Market is in a good location in Kirkland. The shopping center it is in makes it super-convenient. The local mailers with four weeks of big coupons are nice, but overall this market seems a little overpriced to me.
Prices are high for standard groceries, but you can find specialty/gourmet items that other places don't have. I enjoy their bakery highlights most. Try their bake at home garlic bread or "The Cookie" (omg the best and it even comes with its own shopper bag!).
My favorite place to shop. Restaurant quality deli, great vegan options, and decently priced staples.
Its a very good uplift store. the beat part i liked is there are tons of ready to eat options from salads to meals and what not
My favorite prime rib sandwiches are made here.
Pretty classy, pretty Damn, classy.
Super nice high-end grocery with lots of variety and with friendly helpful staff. Prices are high though.
Always fresh ingredients from the deli and great products overall. The kitchen supply section down stairs is also fun to explore.
Bakery is excellent, very fresh and tasty. Deli and cafe is a hit or miss. Most sandwiches and soups are great but other items really depends on the day and the person behind the counter. Other grocery items are much more expensive than QFC or whole foods.
Always quality. Period Great sushi and bakery department. Excellent cheese choices. Kinda spendy but well worth it
Great selections, super helpful people.
Everything is so dang expensive.
I like supporting Seattle's local business.
A special level of psychosis exists in this store. You must own multiple cats to enter along with a glove and masks. Overpriced food and alecture? Sign me up!
Nice clean market with a HUGE selection of yumminess!!
Metropolitan Market has quality goods when you need them. I do prefer to do most of my grocery shopping elsewhere. But, whenever we are cooking dinner for company we come here for what we need.
They have great selection, pretty pricey. Their poke is great.
Lovely store. Excellent produce seafood and meats. Very polite and nice employees
Love the coupons that are sent out every month. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Great market with everything. Nice prepared foods. A little pricey.
Easily one of my favorite grocery stores. Check out the basement store for some great culinary tool gems. …
High-end market with friendly staff and an awesome bakery! I recommend the toffee, the giant cookie!!!
The seafood department is not good there fish is over priced and smells fishy there staff are not friendly I would rather go to the PCC across the street
This market is lovely. The produce outside looks fresh. The bakery and meat/seafood butcher have high quality selections and items from local areas. The rest of the store has unique supermarket items for any food you can imagine and caters to vegan/veggie friendly diets. The staff is super friendly and helpful and the wine manager describes wine in excellent fashion.
Very good produce! Interesting types of meat, great yogurts
A lovely pace to grab a bite, a good latte, or some healthy groceries.
Got enchiladas and fajitas for lunch. Both dishes were over-salted so ended up throwing away my lunch. I don’t know what happened but for the past 2-3 months the quality of prepared food is getting worse. Very sad, it used to be my favorite place to grab a lunch.
Upscale supermarket, local chain, favorite neighborhood grocer, variety foodstuffs and prepared meals, kitchen store and gift shop. A fun place to shop, clean, inviting, nicely decorated. Fresh fruits and vegetables, good quality meats and seafood, lots of excellent cheeses. Fresh mozzarella made daily, parmigiano reggiano, iberico cheese, Swiss cheese, manchego, the best charcuterie with very good salami, molinari dry salami, Black Forest ham, peppered turkey, mortadella with pistachios, German bologna, pork pistachio pate, duck mousse pate, prosciutto, porcheta, pancetta cotta, jambon and so much more. Great bakery, very good cakes, cheese cake, chocolate ganache, macarons, the cookie, famous chocolate and walnut cookie made fresh and served warm all day, bakewell tart and many other great options. I like the selection of prepared foods, signature soups, minestrone, beans and barley, rotisserie chicken, poke bar. Large selection of olives and pickled vegetables, bruschetta, giant marinated beans, pickled cauliflower. Excellent freshly squeezed orange juice, Washington apple cider, kombucha, whidbey pies, apple and blueberry and seasonal. A good selection of wines and champagne, domestic and imported. I enjoy shopping in the downstairs kitchen and gift shop store. So many great things for the kitchen and candles, diffusers, soaps, lotions, birthday cards, seasonal table decorations, and so much more. Fellow Stagg Pour Over Kettle, Smeg retro style electric kettle, and other gadgets for the kitchen. And let’s not forget the beautiful flower shop, the most beautiful fresh seasonal flowers and flower arrangements and decorations in town! A pricy upscale grocery store with lots of options and high quality products that you will enjoy and come back for over and over again. My favorite spot in the neighborhood.
Nice place
I'm not impressed, they don't have caviar lol
Beautiful store with very nice people. It's dead at night, but the employees are still nice even then. The cheese and deli and bakery are great. I love the downstairs gift shop with housewares and kitchenware.
Lots of local goods, hard-to-find gourmet ingredients, and a wonderful bakery! Great for finding gifts for your favorite foodie!
Great bakery, deli and seafood departments. A little bit pricey.
Fantastic bakery and hot food secti ok n. Really great wine selection. A bit pricey
Nice place with good produce and good people. Prices are still a bit high, but what isn't up here...
They are very bad people they don’t know how to talk with costumer no customer service they are not for there to help people so “Don’t buy from them” because they don’t deserve that. Thanks
Love the uniqueness love the workers. They make any business
Expensive but the produce and meat are high quality.
Excellent selection but not cheap. Probably the worst piped-in music of any grocery store ever.
What Whole Foods used to be.
Great selection, although a bit pricey.
Excellent fish dept.
Great lunch selection in the deli. Staff is always helpful with a smile on their face.
Great products high prices
Not sure what is great about this place. Rarely finding organic products and everything is super expensive. I recommend PCC right across the street.
I love the upmarket goods, presentation and service. Unfortunately shopping here is a "treat" as the prices are so much higher than elsewhere. They do stock Isernio's British Bangers, which is definitely worth an extra star and the gelato …
They have some stinky cheese. Also, would highly recommend the well placed vegetables.
Really great place for fresh groceries, booze, treats, deli stuff, you name it. Open 24 hours, too!
These are some of my very favorite stores to shop, for sure! Great selection, friendly employees, so fresh and so clean!
Good Prime Rib sandwich!
They always have that one random ingredient that I need.
Excellent quality... a bit pricey.
Hood food good parking. Just be ready to pay for it.
The number one choice of local and premiere food and produce of all the stores. Plus they pay their staff livable wages and fair benefits. They once had an actual Pink ???? pineapple. Those are like $60 online from Dole farms in Costa Rica.
High-end market with friendly staff and an awesome bakery! I recommend the toffee, the giant cookie (grab a bottle of milk from the grocery store to go with it), and the strawberry croissant. There is a seating area where you can enjoy your spoils
Best cookie ever
One of the best deli selection around. No EV charging though :(
love this little grocery store
Generally have Fresh veggies,
Excellent variety! Great produce ☺️
It has everything! Wonderful staff, amazing products. The wine staff is particularly knowledgeable!
Everyone is always friendly and great selections
My favorite supermarket in Kirkland. Yes you pay more for everything...but in return you get a more diverse selection of high quality products. The fruits and vegetables are fantastic and the butcher can do nearly any kind of cut with almost any kind of meat. The also have a great selection of local salmon, halibut and crab as well as other fish. My favorite part of the store is the prepared food section. They have soups, sandwiches, and entrees. They also have an impressive salad bar and poke bar and much more. It is a very impressive store.
Great product choice an service but expensive.
This is a very nice store. Everything looked good.
Terrific bakery and meat counter. Lots of specialty items in the aisles.
When this place was Munson's Thriftway I was a courtesy clerk, then helper clerk (I was 16-19...). LONG time ago. Must say, it certainly has come a long way. GREAT products, great service.
Lots of variety and gorgeous foods. Staff are friendly and accommodating too. Little pricey.
Great place to shop and awesome staff and food selection.
Service and good quality are superior... staff is always friendly and helpful
This place is good lots of yum goods yes
Ever since it opened we practically live there. It was a huge upgrade for the neighborhood. They often have holiday food sampling with tons of vendors showing up. Great soups, gelato and bakery.
great choice of greens, fruits and vegetables
They have pretty great food for the most part. Yes, it is expensive, but it's hard not to go here for lunch. Lots of options. Their produce, meat and other groceries are good quality, but yes you will spend more money. I work close by and it's hard to go elsewhere because if you want a good quality sandwich, a pretty extensive salad bar, sushi, soups, etc., it's all here.
A small bastion of awesome products and high quality produce hiding in Houghton. The Checkers and staff are always friendly and helpful; it's worth the trip.
Enjoy these stores, brought my mom who enjoyed all the prepared food options. I had to get the fries in a paper cone, like in the Netherlands and their big cookie.....DELICIOUS! Only issue here....the prices are outrageous.
Great products, rude staff, especially the seafood and butcher counters
Staff was super friendly and helful
Very amazing products!!
Great selection, giant cookie and always open!
Salad bar is ok but no comparison to whole foods. Service is friendly and great. A nice selection of wines.
Too cluttered, not design very well for shopping. Employees are always stocking items during business hours, the Hot Bar seems to be only Asian or Latino themed dishes (I love Italian food). Overpriced too Not my go-to shopping place.
Best market to get all fresh and excellent quality.
The best grocery store I have ever been to in my entire life (as of this time). The customer service, the extensive selection of goods, and the quality of goods...wow! In the produce section, you literally have employees that are shucking vegetables to ensure none of the vegetables/fruits are spoiled or browned. Everything is super fresh here! All the products are neatly lined on the shelves like someone has grocery-OCD. They literally have EVERYTHING; it's not limited like Whole Foods. They have products at every single price points. They have coffee brewing tools, a huge variety of spices, etc. They even have a kitchen tools section selling really expensive Japanese knives, Peugeot pepper grinders, and Le Creusets. The prices aren't all bad either; I think Whole Foods is more expensive. Everything is clean here as well! All they need is offer a delivery service and I will give my first-born to them. Also, the cookie. THE COOKIE. You can't stop by this place without getting this. Visit this place for all your grocery needs. Best ever!
Great food options available 24/7
Excellent Customer Service and a wide variety of products
Metropolitan is a great high-end grocery. Lovely produce, excellent bakery, lots of specialty ingredients, wonderful cheese and deli, and first class butcher.
Best market ever!
I stopped in to grab some food from the deli and it was delicious. I got the sesame noodles and pasta salad that were both delicious. Then I got one of their "the cookie" and see gelato which were both great! I usually prefer a milk chocolate cookie without nuts, but this was still good. The gelato was decent- nothing to write home about. Depending on what you get this place can be pretty pricey. I remember getting 3 peaches from here and paying like $7 for them which is ridiculous. I mean, granted they we're perfectly ripe and amazing g bit still. That's highway robbery! This time it wasn't too bad I think all together it ended up being like $12 so I didn't feel ripped off. Really really delicious food and treats!
Good produce selection. Good food for lunch. I wish they had more hot vegetarian options though. Coffee and espresso drinks are good. Their desserts look beautiful, I gotta try them next time. Their bakery seems to change items seasonally. Workers are always nice there.
High quality. MANY options for vegans!
This is the best grocery store in Kirkland for specialty items. I don’t live in this neighborhood but will go out of my way for the baking section alone; it’s fabulous. Check out the kitchen store below the bakery. Yes the cookie is worth it. Share with a friend or loved one. And make sure you have something to drink!
I always to go the Kirkland Met Market for my shopping. I can grab something for delicious and healthy for lunch from the deli and then grab what I need for dinner for the rest of the week in under 20 minutes. I love to cook and I try things often and I come here because I know that they will always have that hard-to-find ingredient that need!
As a treat for my husband tonight, I bought the classic chicken pot pie in the glass ramiken for dinner. We’ve had them before, but not for over a year or more. What a disappointment! They are not at all the same as we had enjoyed in the past. They were 1/2 full, the crust was super hard and encrusted with thick salt. The small amount of chicken included lots of gristle. There were many chunks of potato but no other veggies at all. For $7.99, this is not a cheap pot pie and makes us wonder what has happened to metro market standards?
I love this market! I come here for Poke and the cafe/bakery. Try "The Cookie" and you won't be disappointed! Unless you don't like cookies, then you might be.
A great place for a quick lunch and to pick up essential groceries. It does get packed at certain times.
Metro Market is amazing. Great selection of deli, sushi and other foods. Injoy the ambiance as well.
A friendly, good atmosphere place to shop with lots of great options in the deli and bakery! A bit overpriced for like-products found in other grocery stores.. but I suppose this goes into the great options they have. Love the cookies!
The price was not so expensive. It was great.
A beautiful store with a very helpful staff!
Little on the pricey side, but has a fabulous salad/deli/soup bar. Always lots of variety.
This is my go-to market. Great customer service, friendly staff, good product selection. They do run out of specials, but only for a day. Not closest to the house, but always worth the extra mile.
Well laid out market with friendly employees.
Terrible baklava! So hard I couldn't put a fork thru it. Threw it away! This is my last purchase at met market.
The place is clean, very good customer service. Fruits were very fresh and real organic.
They even have french butter, which is the best. Great variety of vegetables and other goods.
Hot bar food was good. Disappointed they didn't have real plates and flatware. Too much waste.
Don't go there hungry, you'll buy the store! Amazing, wonderful stuff!
Great selection of hard-to-find items, if a little spendy. Produce is always top-notch.
Hot deli line is always empty. Third time I’ve tried eating and all the food is empty. Lack of staff awareness.
Clean, helpful and friendly.
ALWAYS Love being there.
Wonderful selection meat, produce, friendly staff
The "always open" express lanes are closed half of the times I visit. Expensive.
Not only is Metropolitan Market a great place to shop, but the Kirkland store also gives back to their community. Thank you so much for your in-kind donation to the Interlake High School Theatre program! With gratitude, Interlake Theater Boosters
always a nice atmosphere with quality food and friendly staff
Met Market is a high end grocery store - excellent quality with prices to match. It's unlikely you will find a deal unless it's a super sale item of the week. People come for the reliable food quality, service, hot, cold food bars. They have an eating area and a kitchen goods area downstairs. Go get a "The Cookie" when you desire a treat. It's possibly their most famous item. I also order my Thanksgiving turkey from them. Hey, it's only once a year, right? Might as well as make it count. Plenty of parking in a strip mall like area.
Awesome food/salad bar for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Fresh meats and produce are always top notch. But it is a little on the pricey side for being a grocery store
Staff here is always really friendly and willing to help. They do a great job of keeping the aisles clean and organized. I tend to come here to grab a small soup and one of the premade sandwiches. If the line is long in the deli you can usually jump over to the espresso bar or go to the main check out and get out of there much faster.
Very good place to shop and staff is very helpfully and friendly.
Always fun to wander and add things to our cart. Got beauty this for a gift.
Really good food in the bakery but highly over priced. You can get the same food else where cheaper
Right idea on the free range - corn free beef but it's way overpriced; even more than Whole Foods. Prices in general are higher here than PCC, Whole Foods, and New Seasons market. My wine for example was $7 higher at Metropolitan Market than Fred Meyer. Seems like the store caters to the elite. Didn't even have Hemplers or Welshire Farms whole Bacon, only center cut. Some of us Paleo and low carb folk like the fat on the bacon! At least have options. The salmon they were sampling was farm raised. The poke bar sounded good but all of the protein options were seasoned. I prefer to control the flavors and sodium level in my Poke bowl. The paneer makhani from the hot bar was delicious and actually hot. My husband swears by 'The Cookie'. Decent options in Halo Top styles but not a lot of flavors. I was happy to find full fat ice cream most stores only cary the low fat no sugar added...yuk. Talk about taking all the joy out of it. Store was clean and everything looked fresh.
Best gourmet grocery store on west coast!
Tons of baked goods. Salad bar was so so. Great kitchen ware selection.
Ran in for a quick dinner to go. Got the sushi and some ready to eat berries. It reminded me of a small Whole Foods. It was clean and organized. The food was good. It was expensive.
A little pricey, but it's Kirkland so that's expected.
Fresh fruit...but it's all about The Cookie
Fresh produce, gourmet food choices, amazing cookies made fresh daily at their bakery, what's not to love?
Great selection and awesome staff!
Rude employees. They don't even know where is something at their store is located.
Awesome market everything is fresh. Try the cookies at the bakery you won't be disappointed!
I love the selection of items here. It is more expensive generally than a store such as qfc and Fred Meyer or Safeway. They have the most amazing chocolate pie that I highly recommend.
Cleanest kitchens in the industry and friendliest staff. I should know as I worked there for years. Ask yourself that last time you saw someone who works at safeway buying fresh food from safeway? Odds are that when you come in to Met Kirkland you will see employees buying fresh meat, produce, and deli food. This is a testament to unrelenting quality standards from source to consumer. I buy fresh produce, meat/seafood, and deli items there regularly and always will.
I like this store alot. Always clean great selection
Smallish grocery it seems in size but strangely has a very good selection of everything with many options available. Large and growing selection of pre-made meals that are very delicious and much appreciated!
High quality foods for reasonable prices.
Best Salmon I have ever eaten. Very buttery and went down easily.
I typically come here for coffee and baked goodies. The last time I was here, I was in search of a house warming gift, I asked an employee if they had any candles in the store. I was pleasantly surprised when he suggested heading downstairs to the home store. There was a good selection of great scented candles. I picked one out and went to pay for it, i asked the associate if she could wrap it up. What took a bit of time, I was even more surprised to be handed a neatly wrapped present with a huge bow on it! I wasn't expecting much in a way of gift wrapping and thought it would be in tissue paper and placed into a paper bag. This really gave me all the feels and I was even more excited to give it to my friend! Thank you Emily for your beautiful wrapping! It was very much appreciated! <3
People are nice. Food is great! Love the variety
Best Prime Rib sandwiches in town. Go to the back of the Deli section and as for the Prime Rib. It is not cheap but is the best in town.
Besides them having the heaters on full blast cooking everyone this place is awesome. Please turn the heaters off it’s summer
You’re my local store. You’re a store I want to shop at yet every time I go there I have a bad experience with your employees. Last night I stopped to get two sandwiches at the deli counter. The guy behind the counter was horrible. The food was horrible. It was expensive and horrible. You’re convenient but the combination of a bad attitude from an employee and bad food will stop me from ever coming back.
Quality, Quality, Quality! Great market, amazing customer service, always! I ALWAYS shop there!
Quality of food and displays are both outstanding.
I love this market. Being a daily shopper I'm there twice a day most days! There deli area is fabulous and the best produce!
Always a great experience. Excellent staff, support local suppliers. They still wipe down and spray grocery carts for customers' health and safety!
Very upscale with many great local offerings. Price is not bad at all for the setting and quality. Awesome deli and foodservice bar. Great service and beautiful people everywhere!
Metropolitan Market is an upscale market in Kirkland. Lovely bakery, produce displays, flowers. Deli area with prepared foods. Enjoyable to browse and have a coffee in their kitchen store one level down from the main market. Enjoy!
Long term staffing issues with this market are causing a sore lack of service and reliability. On multiple occasions I have gone into this store for a certain item and have been told that they don't have that today because of being short staffed. On this occasion I was goin in to get some bakery items to celebrate turning 40 with my coworkers. I was relying on them as they make some great items but this time the bakery was in total disarray and I was told that no bakery items were available for the day because of staffing. Sadly because I was relying on their service it put a big dent in that plan. It is beyond me how a supposedly high end grocery store could be so poorly managed as to need to shut down an entire department because of staffing. I am no longer going to depend on the reliability of this store and I would suggest the same to anyone going there.
Check your receipt before leaving the store! My fish was rung up twice yesterday and I was charged for an extra soup. I caught the $20 error by watching the items rung up. This is not an isolated instance -- it happens often at this store. I always verify the price of each item, including the weight per pound of produce. I don't think the mistakes are intentional, but checkers aren't concentrating. I gave the store 4 stars because I like the products and I've trained myself to check the receipt.
GREAT market - everyone is so friendly and helpful, and the store is always spotless. The curry chicken soup is delicious - our favorite. The produce is so fresh as is the wonderful seafood section where Elliott is such a delight when I'm deciding what to have for dinner. And oh, that prime rib sandwich - YUM!! It is simply a wonderful place to shop.
one of the best supermarkets around! prices are slightly higher than average, but completely worth it. Fantastic deli, salad bar, and soup bar. I come here even when i want just a quick bite, not only to grocery shop. Highly recommend!
poor service with highest prices and inaccurate billing and when i ponted - ignored by cashier which costs 10$ extra - my last time shopping there
Great market. We go there for " The Cookie ". Unbelievable chocolate chip cookie. $5 a pop be so worth it. Great selection of cheeses and bakery items.
Awesome produce, cheeses, meats, and other specialtyfoods. A bit expensive for some other things, great prepared food, too.
This is a smaller store, but has good selection of selection.
Can’t seem to ever find a manager to speak to... it’s like they are too busy for anything
Absolute scumbag by the name of Shawn works in shipping and receiving. I’ve never seen delivery personnel treated so badly before. Shawn should be fired immediately, he is a liability to the store!
Love this store - great bakery, fresh produce and excellent customer service in every part of the store. And it's great that delivery from Metropolitan market is available through Instacart for the days you simply can't spare the time for an extra shopping trip ????
Don't bother calling the Meat Department becauae you'll be on hold for a very long time.
Great selection especially for gifting of food; candies, pastries and sweets. Hot bar has a selection for vegan and Paleo. Also a self serve pokie section. They offer coffee and coffee drinks as well as a super delicious cookie.
Great selections of high quality products. Prices are also higher than they should have been.
Great grocery store with many organic fruits and vegetables. Fantastic bakery, deli, fish, meats, flowers, kitchen shop, wine and liquor. Excellent service.
Expensive but always the best hot food around.. always home made and cooked by top notch chefs.. love there meats..
Good selection of wine and beer, as well as better quality produce. Not an inexpensive place, though.
Pricey but the quality of the products is generally higher than the QFC near my house. There's also a lot of specialty goods here that you can't even find at whole foods. Their deli also has really delicious Bali meatballs and a poke bar that is good enough for a market meal.
very well organized and always clean. the best part though are the employees - everyone is always so helpful and happy to chat!
For high end groceries - this is your place. Beautiful produce display. For everyday shopping, its too expensive for me. Sign up for their coupons. You can get some great deals. Cooking and household goods downstairs are best quality. Helpful staff.
Beautiful grocery with nice selection of items.
Not what they used to be.
Unhelpful signage, confused and slow staff.
Spendy but worth the occasional trip
Always quality although at a premium price. Not right for your every week grocery shopping but great on occasion.
Had everything I needed plus a clean restroom.
I've been going there since a move to Kirkland about half a year ago, and always had good experience except for today. One of the bags was broken and I asked for a new one. And the cashier was very rude and stormed away afterwards. It was kind of scary! Will start to look for new places for grocery shopping..
Great hot food deli and desserts!
It’s on the pricer side but they have special products here that taste amazing and a wide range of brands and foods. The cookie here is amazing super chocolatey and the balance of chewy and soft.
This place is very expensive but also carried higher quality foods. If you are willing to pay for healthier, or more items with more "simple ingredients", it can be worth it to come here. I usually only come here for very particular thing, like the organic soda, or acme ice cream. All of the organic soda flavors are quite good. I especially enjoy the clementine flavor.
Amazing! Loved this place!
Fun market to shop at occasionally. They have a lot of specialty items. Priced high on staples though.
