Again I show up at 530 looking to get hot food (Mojo's and a beef pie ) and there is nothing prepared and when you ask the girl behind the counter she doesn't seem to care or doesn't know why they have nothing prepared .....this is a constant problem ....i have complained to management and was told something would be done but that was over a month ago

Terrible management at this Sobeys. I was asked for my ID since my bill was over $500, while I was paying with a credit card with my name on it. Since when did we start asking for ID for people shopping for groceries? Passive racism at its best!

This is a great grocery store. It’s kept clean and well stocked with produce that is fresh, a nice deli counter and decent meat/butcher shop. It has a fantastic bakery as well. It’s convenient for Lakeside and Kildonan meadows areas. It’s the perfect size; not too large and not too small either. Keep up the good work here folks!

Watch your items as they are scanned people. I caught 5 items today totaling $19 more than I should have paid. I almost never check as they are scanned but I had a helper with me today. The cashiers RARELY pay attention to the stickers that have 2, 3 and 4 dollars off reg price, and they do not scan like sale items do. I just wonder how many times in the past I haven't caught this, how much money I would have saved.

Good prices. I like that you can collect air miles from your purchases. The prices are decent, and sometimes you can find items for really cheap, but if something is too expensive for your liking, there's a good chance that Freshco will have it for cheaper, which is conveniently about a 1 to 2 minute drive away. The employees are nice, and seem to always be doing something and not just standing around (which is nice to see). They will also help you when you ask for help. Sometimes it gets a little too busy, and the lines can get very long, usually during Dollar Days. They have a post office, which is convenient for those who live nearby.

Doing this on behalf of my mom... Today I looked at the bananas that were brought home yesterday and reflected on the story she told me yesterday, about her visit here. The bagging kid put the bananas in the bottom of the bag then dropped cans of dog food on top. Our bananas are now bruised. Afterward, apparently the bag dropped/dumped while our groceries were being handled and groceries scattered. The kid walked away and noone in the vicinity came by to help or even apologize. I'm sure the staff is great but in this case there should be some customer service training because thats pretty much a failing grade.

Waiting in line for 20 mins at the butcher area. So called but he'd looked at me 5 times but never came over for service. I wanted to buy 10 lobsters for my father's 75th birthday. I took my money elsewhere. This isn't the first time this has happened either. No longer coming to this location.

This location is horrible for having NO stock on supposed 'customer appreciation day' (especially bread, but many empty or almost empty shelves). I think they keep stuff off of the shelves on purpose so customers can't get the 10% off. Also had the world's slowest and least friendly cashier by the name of TYLER - he'd pick up an item with 1 hand and pass it to his other hand to scan it VERY SLOWLY (why would you put someone SO SLOW on one of your busiest days of the month?). Staff in general not friendly at all

The bakery is always out of items OR the items available aren’t fresh. Today, April 10,2021 I was looking for a 12-pack of soft cookies made on site. They had lots! All packaged on April 1st, with a “best before date” of April 10 (I was there at 6pm). Not only are they at the end of their freshness date, there was no “reduction in price”stickers on any of the packages to encourage sales. I bought cookies made by Christie instead. I’m sure management doesn’t read these reviews and no changes to their rotating, reducing price, or removing of outdated items will occur. I suggest customers check dates of made-in-store bakery items before purchasing them.
