This place is the best butcher shop in Winnipeg. They make amazing sausages and will do custom cuts. This place has a very European feel, which make sense given the owner was trained in Germany.

This year we brought in a deer to Mighty Meats be processed for the first time. Very happy with the whole experience. Great service, friendly staff, clean operation and quality workmanship. The sausage we had made was amazing! Super excited we have found a local butcher for all our future hunting needs. Thank you Mighty Meats Team!

My family, friends and I have been shopping at Mighty Meats since they first opened in our neighbourhood. Not only are their products of high quality and value, the service is exceptional. It is a breath of fresh air to have unique customer service with a broad array of personalities. Unlike diluted customer service, the staff is colourful and is one of the biggest reasons everyone I know continues to be loyal customers to this store. I would highly reccomend those who value great products and an entertaining customer experience to shop at this location. Keep on doing what your doing!

At the cash til I was told to step aside twice because as the guy said these are preferd customers. Guess they don't need my business. Even though my purchase of finishing butter , potato salad cost at least as much or more than the "preferred customers ". Won't be back two stars only because you carried the product I wanted, but so do other places.The guy with the blonde hair seemed friendly but the other , person who was operating the til could use some more training.

Terrible experience. The young lady behind the counter was so grumpy. Rolled her eyes at me when I asked for something. When she ring up my bill she didnt say 1 word to me. Handed me my change and I left. Will not be back, I have never felt so unwanted at a store before. Go down the street to roblin meats, they are always friendly I have started to come back as friends have been recommending I do, and I must say it is a much better experience. Everyones friendly, and more then happy to help. Sorry about the above review but it is still the experience that I had. I have changed it to 4 stars.

We have bought your beef jerky for about 2 years now and we bought some on Friday, July 19th and were very disappointed. It was not aged enough and very sour tasting with a very strong smoke flavor, much more than usual.

Came in here looking for some good jerky as I need the extra protein for a physically demanding job. Very interesting little place, with great prices and lots of in house made stuff. I got to sample the jerky (delicious!) And took home a mixed bag along with some sausage sticks and over a half pound of pepper bacon, all for around 20 bucks! Highly recommend this place.

Super friendly staff, delicious in store made sausage and jerky. High quality meats, good selection, and reasonable prices. If you talk to Andreas he can hook you up with whatever you need, next day for normal requests. The teriyaki jerky is amazing - the only jerky my wife will eat. They even have baking from harvest bakery, and other local bakeries. Great one stop shop for your mains at dinner. ????

LOVE this place. What a Charleswood Gem! Stopped here yesterday after a visit to the library next door to see what was available and was blown away be the selection and pricing. We ended up picking up some of their pepperette sticks and will be going back again today as they're all gone already!

Been here a few times over the years, usually a good experience but today I stood in line for 10 minutes with 1 person in front of me and when people came in after me and were served before me I left. No one said hi or even acknowledged me but they had time to chitchat about their pet. I'll visit another meat shop who value their customers.

Honestly I love this place. Started shopping there when they first opened and the owners are really nice and really passionate about their business. They stock super high quality local fresh meat (chicken, steaks etc), make lots of their own cured meats (including a bunch of really delicious old world recipe stuff), and stock a variety of local and artisan prepared foods from fancy brands of anchovies and sardines to locally made pies, Italian hand-made pastas, fresh pizza dough, imported sweets, etc. Very rad.

. I went to Mighty Meats for the first time today and the young lady behind the counter was exceptional. She spent the time to tell me the history of her family owned business (with one import) and the locally sourced meats and other goods that they sell. All meats are AAA grass fed and pasture raised. All sausages are made in house with no preservatives, no GMO and low sodium. The meats are moderately more expensive than what you get in the big chain stores so you pay a little extra for top quality.The slab bacon I ordered today was excellent and will be back in the future to sample more of their goods. Went here for my first time today. I got some jerky, pepperettes, Italian Sausage, bacon and pizza pepperoni. Everything is really good! Their bulk frozen meat prices seem to be a pretty good deal too.

To the person who had a bad experience.. I so understand your frustration, however, I have seen this young lady when she began and watched her come out of her shell. Mighty Meats and deli has in store made products, they do carry as much local product as possible, very helpful and knowledgeable. I have been in the customer service industry as management for years and I've seen none comparable to this location. I'm not sure if you have been there before, and if you have you must be honest on the customer service, if not you really should visit them again..if you have read the other reviews you would have to agree that they are all positive, you and your one review can damage a young family business that they and their staff strive for nothing but the best products as well as great customer service..Sorry for your experience but most have been good! GREAT PRODUCT, GREAT PEOPLE who make you feel like great friends and family! You Go Andreas, Elizabeth, Pam and the rest of the staff! You all rock!

I droped off some geese breasts straight from the feild to be turned into garlic sausage and salami. Turn around time was super fast and the sausage is awesome! Not too dry and mixed with the right spice and amount of pork. Andreas was super helpful and provided lots of options right down on how yo package the final product. I look forward to see what he can do with a deer.

I went in today (May 26 at 1100) and was so upset with the way the woman behind the counter treated me, I just walked out. She was rude and abrupt, I was obviously inconveniencing her by being there. She is older and has dark curly hair. I have been going and referring people there for years. I will not be returning, and no longer recommend people go there.

I love Mighty Meats. Their product is always top quality. As a business owner, I understand the difficulties of staff persons sometimes not reflecting the passion and pride that these owners put into their company. I have read some of the reviews and can't believe how fickle some people are about the mood or reception of one of the staff on a particular day. When you taste the quality of the meat and you see how hard the owners work to serve their community with a great product, a little smile to the serving staff goes a long way to help them through a day that might not be going so good for them. I think it's a wonderful shop and look forward to buying my meats (and more) there.

Best homemade beef jerky in the city! Don't waste your money on inferior grocery store jerky! Also, the "rude" lady behind the counter that some people mention--she isn't rude, it's just her personality. It's kind of like an act she puts on. I can understand how some would be put off by her, but you just gotta embrace her personality.
