I came in here to warm up after doing taxes at H and R Block because H and R wouldn't let me stay after filing due to COVID in order to wait for my tax refund and there literally was nowhere else to go to get warm due to the pandemic. Not even the coffee shop next door which was closed, same with Home Street church. I was freaking out because I was so cold, wandering around trying to find somewhere warm. I found it at Makka. The staff at Makka were very nice and I didn't feel unsafe despite being the only woman there among like five male staff and no other customers. They didn't throw me out despite me not buying anything and were very kind. Didn't bother me at all. I wish there were more places like this during the pandemic especially when it's this cold! Around -32! Thank you Makka staff. You're beautiful, amazing and compassionate. I urge everyone to support this store! It's a community gem run by kind Muslims. Keep up the good work. You really made a huge difference for me.
