Is there a heart beat in this place? I walk in with a positive mental attitude, I smile, I say hello and the response is a crummy attitude from staff at the Arlington location. Something toxic lurks in the dark at this place and its killing the staff spirit. Whatever it is, it’s sick. I’m taking my positive attitude and my hard earned money where a positive attitude is reciprocated in a courteous and polite manner, a place where it feels good to shop. Why would I want to go somewhere that I walk out feeling unwelcome? I can do better. Spread the love where it is appreciated folks. This place is like throwing pearls in front of swine.

Excellent, have only had 1 issue and it was resolved immediately.. UPDATE... Last few times have been a train wreck. Horrible box of scraps they call ribs... so asked for side ribs with no tails. Came with tails... only thing I’ll ever buy there anymore is the pork shoulders. Hard to screw those up...

New owners …. I wish I could give 0 stars , incomplete order and wasted half hour for price on pre ordered package kept trying to tell them the price but they insisted to speak to a manager first. Stay as far away from this mess as the new owners have absolutely destroyed the reputation that they had for years. I’d go to tenderloin meats on main or marchellos meats in st V for the best quality meats. Harris meats lost my business for life and all of my family and friends.

Decent butcher with decent quality meat with matching prices. I very rarely feel It was an expensive trip. As for the grocery I never shop there as my wife and I try to stick to whole foods, no prepackaged convenient food.

Meat prices are good & so is the quality of their meats.That's the only reason I go there. Produce is a horrible quality & high prices on other items. Deli meats are very good. Bread is usually on sale. Most of the staff are friendly & are very helpfu at the meat counter.

Great prices and quality meat department here. Much like Cantor's, it's a top quality-at-a-budget price butcher shop...with a grocery store. Don't expect everything to be as cheap as a Superstore, but you will find some great deals on produce, local bakery items and spices (just to name a few things) We had them do the social platters for our wedding and have been making them a regular stop ever since. Some of the best tasting beef and chicken in the city, great in-house bacon and a great selection of frozen, family-sized meat packs!

I won't go there ever again. I'm an older fellow with one eye and big nose and no teeth and every time i go in there on of the store clerks has to fight to contain her amusement whenever i go in there and it never ends. Like two years now she's been doing it. I sure would like to know what she thinks is so funny when i go in there. And then has to fight to hide her amusement. Personally I find it quite degrading . So I'm funny looking keep it to yourself. WhateverIve had enough they just lost a customer of 7 years.

This could have been a neighbourhood gem. Zero customer service. No hello upon entry nor a thank you after you pay at the till, plus it looks like a dive inside and hardly clean. I spoke to the owner... about the lack of friendly service and he told me if I don't like it then I can shop somewhere else. Good advice from him. I never shop here anymore.

Another hidden gem in the North End. Store is always clean, great staff. Hires people of all ages, which is great. Meat department has the best prices and always fresh. Same with bread .... always walk out with more than I planned on purchasing.

Unique experience like going to a old butcher shop atmosphere. Grocery store prices higher than the big stores, but community based. Most people don't know this store, prepares large meat orders for Northern Communities, which assists people who don't have the convenience of a corner grocery store. Great staff, good parking, facility has what community needs.

I go to the deli to get fresh meat. And if you ask for it , they will wrap your sliced meat in "brown wrap " which keeps your meat better longer . ( it doesn't go slimy or smells bad so fast ! OLD SCHOOL , the way you used to get your neat from a butcher !!

I gave 2 stars because I couldn't give 3 stars as that would be too generous, 2.5 would be more accurate. The positives - has some of the best meats in the city when they get a "good batch". Beef is excellent and bacon is great, way better than store stuff. The negatives - note the emphasis on the "good batch" because there has been times were the meat is just awful, I actually stopped going there for about two years. As another another reviewer pointed out the staff seem to have had their souls removed through demonic possession and I feel this place is in need of an exorcism and more than just a coat of paint.

Good selection of fresh meats. It's very nice to see friendly and professional staff. They do carry the Jeannie cakes here. Some items pricier, but that's like all other places, hit and miss. 100% better reception from staff at Harris Meats than at the big Superstores or Walmarts, very rude and ignorant and unprofessional staff at those big stores.
