I dont often go to FreshCo as its not in my routine. Superstore was out of strawberries (in strawberry season) so i saw FreshCo and stopped in. Nice, bright, clean and everything laid out easily to see and i saw very competitive prices. Not only did they have lots of strawberries but they were high quality AND ON SALE!! Lots of great produce and baked goods. I'll be back.

Oct 2020: Similar to a recent review, I also went to FreshCo on a morning to get some light groceries at a decent price while beating the weekend grocery crowd. I pushed my cart along, moving from the bakery area over to the back wall where the frozen foods stuffs are. As I was about to turn the corner, there was a woman (who I would assume is the manager/supervisor, was wearing one of those gray FreshCo staff polos) standing in the middle of the pathway talking with another customer. I try to veer to my right to squeeze through the chatting ladies until the staff stops me and advises me of the arrows marking the direction of traffic in the store (due to COVID-19 policies) and that I was walking the wrong way. She was being rather harsh, for a simple mistake I've seen countless people disobey in any grocery store by now. But quietly, I followed her tongue lashing and went on my way, but boy was I upset after that. Ruined my shopping experience at that store. She did not even end her conversation with the other woman after that! They just continued their conversation!! Might I add that the two ladies were definitely NOT social distancing while chatting and blocking the walkway. Sure, I made an error not following the store's flimsy arrow-system, but that does not make Ms. FreshCo Staff completely exempt from doing whatever in her store. Utterly appalled by her actions. Be a real shame if she got sick from her careless actions in the store. Your mask won't save you from everything, ma'am! Will stick to shopping at No Frills from now on. This store lost my respect.

In love with this store, I can buy fresh international products, also the staff is very nice and helpful. Many thanks to Lana, who was taking care of parents with babies for not staying too long in the waiting lines and for finding a cart for me because I didn't have 25 cents with me to put inside that cart.

I seem to have more bags leaving here than any other grocery store. I guess that means the prices are better. What they lack in meat after day shift is gone they make up for it in being fast and efficient and never keeping you in line long. It's nice to have the choice to grab a box they have ready by the tills so you have options while bagging your own groceries.

They have items you simply won't find anywhere else in the city but at great prices- some places might carry ethnic foods but they aren't cheap because they can only purchase small quantities. You can get these items here at supermarket prices.

Nice to be in a store with no Muzak. Great selection of goods. Good produce section with good quality fruits and vegetables. Huge ethnic food section. If you want to try preparing different styles of cuisine, this is the place to shop. When we went it must have been shipment delivery day, as there were pallets of products all over the back of the store. Word of caution. Some of the products are in huge Jenga stacks. Be careful which box or bottle you pull out of the stack, or you may hear that all embarrassing announcement, "Clean up on Aisle..." ????

It's great to have another moderately priced grocer, and 1 that price matches & gives rain cheques as well. The competition is great as it keeps prices lower at other grocers, (except Sobeys & Safeway of course). Their one big downfall though is the large amount of young staff they have, including supervisors, who just don't get what good customer service is. They continue to be unfriendly & rarely smile! That irks me, they should make us feel they're appreciative of our business. They would do well to learn these cues from their corporate company, Safeway n Sobeys. Most, (not all) millenials just don't understand the importance of providing friendly, accomodating service; scary!

One of the better produce sections in major food stores. They have a huge variety of fresh fruits and vegetables, as well as many ethnic ones too. Good variety of bakery and meats with excellent prices. It seems that you are always saving that extra $20 dollar bill at the till when you shop at Fresh Co. I like it!!!

Safeway/Sobeys on the cheap... that's kinda the long and short of it. It's a new store so very clean and well stocked but well see how that holds up. Keep an eye out for tricky pricing. Milk is more expensive here than Safeway/sobeys and they have the Best Buy brand cheese that "looks" cheaper because it's a smaller pack.

It made no mention of the size of the package yet the assistant manager for the meat department said it was only good for the small packages. This was the first time I was there since the rebrand. We really enjoy shopping at FreshCo. They have your normal groceries that you can buy anywhere but they also have lots of things that I've never found anywhere else. They have very good sales on different things like today we purchased 30 eggs for $4.00 we also purchased two loaves of natural bakery rye bread 900g cost was $2.50 . There is also CANTERS MEATS inside the store. I don't mean they sell canter's meats there is actually a store inside FreshCo. But when you cash out you only pay once for all your groceries.

They have social distancing in place. Can only have so many people inside the store at a time. However when I watched at least 20 people leave the store they are still making us wait didn’t make sense to me. Asked what are we waiting for and was told they let more people in by mistake. So my question is are you following social distancing rules in place or not?! If your following it should be disciplined and set number of people should be in and out. And if not are you following harassment policy based on who is in front of the store waiting. I will avoid this store till they sort out what they are doing. If you can’t follow a simple rule on how many people to let inside the store, how are you maintaining cleanliness and disinfecting in the store?!

Nice clean store. Bright and white. Does not have a full service deli. I found some items to be lower priced than my regular grocery store. Some items same price. Didn't find the cheese I was looking for. The variety is slightly lacking in some areas. Many cashiers were open and even though it was pretty busy a cashier was available to take me right away. You pay for bags and you bag your own groceries, however a staff member quickly asked me if I wanted her to bag things up. The seafood department while small, offered up great looking Pickerel and Goldeye. This was my first visit and will definitely return as there are probably things I missed.

Not the biggest selection of items. I went in looking for a specific style of peanut butter in a large size. I ended up going next door to their sister store to find it. I get it though, discount grocery stores keep their pricing down by stocking fewer SKUs to maximize shelf space for high volume items. It's worth checking out, but don't expect to find the same selection as higher end stores.

I went to FreshCo this morning at around 8:15 and one of the employees (assuming she was some type of manager/supervisor) was speaking to another employee who was elderly very abrasively about the bread labels facing up. I’m not going to support a business who’s managerial staff can’t treat their employees with dignity. Her voice sounded like a didgeridoo pitched up sixteen octaves and it ruined my shopping experience.

Employees need to be wearing masks. Otherwise it is twice as dangerous for me to shop in your store. I have a heart condition and you have so many wonderful employees in the building stocking things. Makes social distancing, from staff alone, a challenge. I will be back when I feel it's safe. Invest the money for the safety of all in the building.

I love this store because it's clean, well stocked and very organized. I look forward every Wednesday receiving my FreshCo advertisement emailed to me as I know there will always be a handful of items that I will go and pick up because of the amazing price being offered... The only issue I do have is that I find the store staff not very friendly or approachable. The cashier's though seem very professional and for the most part have a smile on his or her face... But overall, of the major 5 or 6 grocery chains in the city, I would say FreshCo ranks at the very top for me...

FreshCo has some good deals but the times we have gone they dont have the items we go in for. Also really watch the expiry dates the last time we went we got home with one pack of yogurt that had been expired for 5 days and another that expired the next day. The layout is not good at all, items are in odd places, the aisle ways are too narrow and the entrance is incredibly small and only one way. So if you miss a sale item that is outside of the store you can't go back and get it. I wont keep up shopping here, it's too frustrating to dodge around people and then end up going somewhere else for what you need on your shopping list.

For the second time this store sent me a advertisement of an item on sale “chicken breast” and I show up on the second day of the sale and there’s no chicken. They apparently didn’t get there delivery. There were so many customers asking. Where’s the chicken ? If you are going for a sale item. Call ahead. Make sure they have it before you go. I’m from Grand Beach so I drove an hour to get this for a family BBQ this weekend and ended up shopping at No Frills...

Generally decent pricing. No loyalty program = savings on items. Produce is replenished in bulk so you need to be mindful while picking your fruit and vegetables. Due to high volume purchasing by the company, their promotional pricing can be very low on select items.

So I went into the store near Regent. I had a rain check for a 4 pack of chicken. So I had been in 4 times at different times of the day and there never was a 4 pack. So I first asked a clerk to help me. So she goes oh boneless chicken. So she starts looking and has no idea what a pack of boneless skinless chicken looks like. Ok. I can kind of understand. So I say can you ask someone who might know. Like someone in the meat department. So she goes off and this young gentleman maybe 19 or 20 comes to talk to me. Not someone from the meat department. He goes here it is this 3 pack of chicken. I say but there's a sign with a picture and A) it not only shows 4 pieces of chicken. B) It has the number 4 showing 4 pack of chicken. This kid goes no no it's all by weight. I go but it states a 4 pack on the rain check, the picture shows a 4 pack and it's not a sale. He goes oh there's no sales in our flyer it's just a lock at low prices. I say that's ridiculous. You have a flyer with no sales. He goes yes that's right. I say that makes no sense. Could I talk to your manager. He goes there is no manager tonight. I say you have no manager closing the store. He goes ok there's a grocery manager. I'll get him. So guess what. He comes back with a 4 pack of chicken. This was the worst experience I have ever had at a grocery store. What a bunch of idiots. Do you think people are stupid. How insulting. I would never shop at Freshco!

Aside from great prices, it’s clean, steady business, tasteful shoppers and very well staffed with the most readily available and cheerful employees. I've had mostly positive experiences in the past but was recently disappointed in a purchase of chicken thighs. There was a sticker over a sticker but I assumed it was a mistake in pricing since it was the first day of a sale. I opened the package 2 days later and found the chicken to be a little funky. It turns out it had been packaged 3 days beforehand (according to the label that had been covered up) was actually 5 days old instead of 2. I threw both packages out but saved the labels and had a very disappointing conversation with the meat manager. She said the packed on date should have been crossed our but wasn't. She seemed totally unconcerned that I had to throw out about $18 worth of chicken. The prices here can be good but the customer service sure sucked...

Love the produce, bakery and meats. Good variety of groceries and have ethnic foods too for future consideration. Cashiers are usually quite efficient and get you through very quickly.
