Of course Helmuts is a great place to buy sausage, but a well known secret is that it's a great place to go for lunch. Lots of delicious options to choose from. There is seating and bar hight tables to eat at right in the store. The bread on the sandwiches seems a little thick when you first look at it but as soon as you bite into it you are surprised how good it is. It's moist and fresh and delicious. I highly recommend everyone try Helmuts for lunch.

Great service and selection of meats, euro deli goods like sauces, jams, olives, caviar, etc. Great quality and seasoning in all the meats, authentic! I ordered a Reuben on rye sandwich that was was bomb and I don’t usually like sauerkraut - must try! Also recommend double smoked sausage, cooked mennonite, turkey kielbasa, meat loaf and pepperonis (cherry & Mexican). Definitely a new staple for us.

I went for a lunch break with 2 other co-workers, we had a half hour for lunch and thought this would be a great option. We ordered two reubens and a chicken caesar wrap to go, the two reubens were ready in about 10 minutes and the chicken caesar wrap took 45 minutes. How is that even possible? We completely blew our lunch waiting on this, so happy I get to work overtime on a Friday to make up for this. I should also mention, our other three co-workers were also present, ordered and left while we were waiting, as well as two other parties of two, a party of 3, and one other customer, ordered after us and left before us.

The sandwiches are incredible here. The Donair or Mennonite Sausage Sandwich are my recommendations. The Mennonite Sausage Sandwich was perfect. The sausage is very flavourful and there were tons of toppings. Considering the price of the entire combo ($11) it's a very good value.

The result is quality in a very clean and well organized store. You’ll be overwhelmed by the vast selection selection of cured/smoked meats and are encouraged to sample as many as you like.
